Chapter 4: Fight in Forest

Liam knew very well that staying here for more time will only result in his death, so he didn't waste any time.

*Slash*

He swung the Killing Sword and severed the monster's head, ending its life.

"Growl"

Monster growled one last time in pain, his eyes were showing deep unwillingness before dying.

"RUSH"

Liam immediately ran with his full speed, hoping that he will leave this place before the strong monsters come.

"Please help me!"

"Please free me!"

"Ah, I don't want to die here, those monster will kill me, please save me!"

He heard many cries in the basement, and he saw many people like him caged. He felt sorry for them, but he had no time to rescue them.

"I am sorry!"

That was all he could say before he left the basement with his full speed.

"Please, don't go, please!"

Cries got more and more distant, to the point where he couldn't hear anything.

*Zoom*

Cold wind blew in his face, as he ran with his full speed. He had been running for more than ten minutes.

"ROAR!""ROAR!""ROAR!"

Liam abruptly came to a halt when he listened the roars of the monster, it shake the very soul of his being.

"ROOAAAR"

One after another angry roars sound came from the monster, he is nearly fifty kilometres away from them, but he can still hear there sounds clearly.

This is enough to tell, how strong these monsters are.

"WHOOSH!"

He didn't dare to linger, this distance was still not safe enough to evade the monsters' pursuit.

He increased his speed, and ran crazily towards the opposite direction of the basement.

He ran for what seemed like an eternity, until he saw a dense forest in front of him.

Liam paused, his heart pounding with fear. It was already night, and he faced the forest.

Forest is very densely expanded and no one can see it's end in one sight 

Liam's heart raced as he passed through the trees.

"BOOOM!"

When Liam was passing through the forest, a distant sound reached his ears, and heared a gruesome roar of a monster.

"ROOAR"

Liam heared voices of a battle.

He hesitated whether he should go or not.

"I have already came so far running from the basement, and I still got struck in a Monster, it seems like wherever I'll go, there will be monsters."

"Hiding is not an option anymore, if I didn't fight them and become strong, I'll soon become a prey of these monster like all."

His eyes gleamed with determination, he rushed towards the sound of the battle, he wanted to vent his anger on this monster.

"CLANG!" "CLANG!"

Soon, he reached the battleground, he saw five humans fighting a big monster.

Monster was around twelve feet tall and it looked like a bear, it's muscle were very strong, and whenever it attacked, the land itself shaked from its force.

Against it were five humans, four men and a woman.

Among them, a middle aged man was most eye catching, he was swinging a big warhammer to attack at the monster, and his cultivation was also strongest among them---Second Level of Profound Master.

Two of them are in their mid 20s and their Cultivation was at the Eighth Level of Profound Disciple.

Woman was around his own age, and her cultivation was at Twelfth level of Profound Disciple.

And last was an old man, his hairs were white and his face was wrinkled with the passage of time, he was weakest among them all--- Fifth Level of Profound Disciple.

He was the only one who wasn't fighting, he was standing aside and looking at four of them fighting the monster.

"Thunder Strike Smash!"

Middle aged man shouted and attacked at the monster with his hammer, hammer was covered with thunder and it attacked at the chest of the monster precisely.

"ROAR!"

But the monster was also at the fifth level of Infant Monster, and it seemed like monster was unharmed by the attack, it just fuled his fury.

He attacked with his Colossal Size fist, and it hit one of the man in his 20s.

"BOOOM!"

Man was thrown back by the attack, his chest collapsed with the force of the attack.

"Lucas, are you alright."Old aged man hurriedly came to him, and feed a pill to him.

"Cough!..Cough!..I am alright, be careful, this monster is ver strong."

"Sarah, We need to leave this place quickly, or else all of us will die here."Middle aged man said in grim tone.

"But Uncle Henry, this monster is very fast, we can't run away, and now Lucas has also got injured, if we run, Grandpa Adrian and Lucus will die here."Woman whose name was Sarah said in a sad voice.

"Both of you take Uncle Adrian and Lucas with you, I can face this monster alone."Middle aged man Henry said in a serious tone.

"No, Uncle Henry, just leave me and you all go, I don't want anything happen to you."Lucas who was lying in the ground weakly.

"Shut up, Sarah, it's an order, take all of them with you."Sarah bited her lips as if trying to stop her from crying.

"LEAVE....NOW, Henry shouted and used all of his strength to fight with the monster.

"Ethan.... let's go." She said to another man in 20s beside her in a sobbing voice, she knew it might be last time, she will some Uncle Henry.

"Hmm..Ethan nodded and looked at Henry, "Dad, wait for me, I will come soon,"his voice was quivering."

'If you dared to come back, I'll kill you before the monster, just go, don't waste my time."Henry shouted at Ethan, his whole body was shaking with the pressure from the battle.

Tears welled in all of their eyes, they all stopped themselves from turning weak, all of their eyes were resolute and they looked at the monster with hatred.

"Dad, I promise, I'll avenge you soon, I'll kill all the monstes in the world."Ethan vowed with tears in his eyes.

"Haha, that's like my son, you go, dad can't wait to eat roasted meat of this monster... Cough..."Henry laughed, but in midst, the monster attacked in fury, he was shot by the fist of the monster.

"DAD!"

"Uncle!"

"Run!"

Henry shouted and swinged his hammer once again aiming at the eyes of the monster.

Ethan hurriedly helped Lucas to get up and Sarah came to Adrian and they rushed to leave this forest.

"ROAAAR"

When monster saw them running, he roared in fury, he has already chose them as his dinner, how could he let them run."

"BOOOM"

Monster roared and uprooted a big tree and threw it towards them.

"SLASH"

Sarah used her sword, and cut the tree in the half before reaching them.

"CLANG!"

When monster was attacking at them, Henry attacked at the monster with his warhammer, "It hitted the horn on the head of them monster, and it made a sound like two metals colliding with each other."

"ROAAR"

Monster roared in pain and fury, and again attacked at Henry, he got mad and uprooted many trees and threw them on Henry."

"WOOSH"

Henry dodged the trees and attacked at the monster with him hammer.

Liam was hiding behind a tree and he was looking at them fighting, he was thinking if he should help them or not.

When he was thinking, suddenly he saw the Colossal monster running towards him, to be more precise it was running towards the tree, he was hiding behind.

"Shit!"Liam sweared and quickly left the place where he was.

"Crack!"

Tree was uprooted from its place and Liam also appeared before everyone.

Sarah and Ethan who were running suddenly stopped at their place, looking at Liam, their eyes widened in shock.

"Damm!, I wanted to attack at it secretly, now that I am revealed, I'll also have to fight with this monster."

Liam looked at the monster with killing intent in his eyes, he will never let go any monster in front of him.
