I banged the door to the car and quickly ambled away, I didn't want to even spend a second with anyone, I wanted to be left alone but seems like what I have always wanted had never been really mine,

"Hey, Emma!" Owen grabbed my arm as he twirled me. "What's the rush? I haven't seen you for weeks, I have been worried"

I chewed on the inside of my mouth, yes seeing him too was a relief I was glad he was okay after the state I last saw him but I was angry, hurt, confused, and still most likely about getting a glimpse of what was about to happen in my life right now, it kept me at the edge of a seat with a really long line to fall from.

"You have been awfully quiet since the ride" he moved close and I felt the need to move away. "Talk to me, Emma"

I faced my irate eyes at him and perplexity flushed his features, surely he wasn't expecting me to shoot him that look.
