Wakeful

My eyelashes flicked a number of times, my head cruising back and forth against the soft texture of something, a pillow I guess, it made my head feel light, and my body felt overly relaxed too like I was on the top of a cloud, I felt no pain, I was light and feeling my best. But the heavy feeling didn't stop, I couldn't move my body properly.

My lashes flicked once again, I was bent on getting my eyes open, they felt weighty, just how long have I had my eyes closed?

I groaned, before licking my dry lips, they tasted so dry, I could taste them peeling. I groaned again, flicking my eyes open, it was bright too bright, I was forced to close my eyes and open them back once again.
