Reconnecting {2}

"Emma" Owen said beside me, we were now standing, which kind of freaked me out. I knew for sure we were literally on the bed but that wasn't enough because we were no longer in his room but in a dark forest, foggy and also chilly. I noticed Owen's gaze was trained before us so I followed and I met with the same beautiful young lady.

"Hello, Emma Adams... it's nice to see you again" she said with a loving smile and then her eyes darted to Owen and I saw the tears almost gushing out.

"You have brought my son to me" Her voice was shaky.

"Mom"

"Don't!" She stopped him before he could take us forward. "Don't children, your hands must remain locked"

I leveled my gaze on our still locked hands.

"Or else it will break the connection"

I faced Owen who had his focus on his mom, his hand slowly stretching out but it met with an invisible wall, making his palm press against it.
