The message stared back at me for a minute, and my finger hugged against my phone to reply, but I didn't. Giving up, I flung my phone beside me and buried my face in distress. The pressure of everything weighed on me, making it difficult to collect my thoughts. But three words were voiced in the depths of my mind.

I rose and stripped from my clothes, leaving a trail of them on the floor until I got to the bathroom, turned the tap on, and waited for the water to rise, checking the temperature to make sure it was just the right one. I slid into it relaxed within the tub and closed my eyes.
