Chapter Twelve

The next morning, you drop off the girl's cut-up body inside the box to the salon. You decide to keep the girl's hand in the refrigerator. Her nails were so pretty.

You close your eyes, remembering all the disturbing images. You enjoyed that kill the best. So young, so pretty, and so helpless.

You hear the phone beep.

I miss you, we need to hang out. You've been busy lately - Angelica.

Okay, dinner tonight. You sent back

Yes! I will love that :) - Angelica

Tonight there will have to be no killing. That made your heart so unhappy. Having a girlfriend is only holding me back from what I want to do.

Letter after letter, you feel more annoyed. You see so many people. So many perfect people that you could kill. So much blood you wanted on your hands.

Pulling in the driveway, you see Angelica waiting for you on your front step. She looks so happy, but you feel frustrated. She waves. You force a wave back.

Climbing out from the mail truck, you walk towards her. She rushes up and hugs you tightly.

"Hungry?" she asks.

You rub your stomach. "Yes."

You notice tupperware containers on the step. I made egg rolls and orange chicken. She grins.

"Yum, I love Chinese food."

"Me too," she says.

"I have fortune cookies," she tells you.

"It will probably tell me I'm going to be a mailman forever."

She laughs.

You open the front door, pushing it open. There was a smell. A dead smell. The hand inside the refrigerator.

"Sorry about the smell, I believe there's a dead mouse somewhere."

"It happens," she says.

Arriving from the bathroom, you spray air freshener all over the kitchen. After, you fill the table with plates and folks. Angelica takes her place at the table. She fills her mouth with food. You do the same.

"This is simply delicious."

"Thanks," she grins.

"I need some tea." She walks over to the refrigerator.

Thinking about how good the food tasted and how hungry you were. It was too late to remember the secret inside the refrigerator until you heard her scream.

"What is that?" She cries.

I could lie. Say I made a lifelike hand cake, but there's always going to be a lie. Soon she'll catch on. And I love me more than her, you think.

I say nothing. Angelica cries, her face filled with panic. She shakes. It was self-evident that she was scared. I'll make this one quick.

Grabbing Angelica by her head, you bash it into the refrigerator over and over again until the kitchen floor is soaked with blood and her screams have stopped.

You get onto the floor and splash her blood all over your face.

"I am so sorry, my precious girlfriend. It wasn't you. It's me," you say.

You mail Angelica's body to her mother's house the next day. You smile anytime you see her empty house. If you thought any girl could change a serial killer's heart, the jokes on you, you think.

The End
