Duel with Captain Yoshie Ayako

I made eye contact with Captain Yosihe Ayako for a few seconds and slowly brought my hand closer to my zanpakuto, preparing to unsheath it.

I don't know how to use it as I've never used a sword before, but I have no choice but to try what I've seen before entering the duel.

I quickly unsheathed my Zanpakuto and started running towards Captain Yoshie Ayako. At that time, Hiroshi was still standing there, thinking about something.

First, I swung my zanpakuto from the left side of Captain Yohie Ayako, but was stopped by an obstacle when I was about to touch the Captain. No matter how hard I tried to push, the zanpakuto didn't move.

I withdrew my Zanpakuto and then immediately started attacking from another direction. All these types of attacks I tried were the ones I saw from the students I had a chance to watch before entering the duel.

Hiroshi still seemed to have no intention of attacking. When I approached him and asked him why he didn't attack, he said one sentence to me.

"Didn't you realize that all our melee fights are pointless?"

"Then what are we going to do?"

Hiroshi continued to stare into the captain's eyes for a while. The captain must have noticed this too because she turned her gaze towards Hiroshi.

After I put my ear close to Hiroshi's mouth, Hiroshi covered his mouth with one hand and started to whisper in my ear.

"Trust me. Now our plan is that we both attack at the same time, and when I show you the sign, you will use Hadō."

When we finished talking, Hiroshi and I started to attack together. Captain Yoshie Ayako was still defending the area where she stood.

As our attacks continued to be blocked as usual, Hiroshi made a sign with one hand behind his back.

We tried a few more attacks when I noticed Hiroshi's hand signal, then I quickly took a few steps back and stood in front of Captain Yoshie Ayako.

I pointed the index finger of my right hand at the Captain and waited for Hiroshi to escape. I started singing Hadō after Hiroshi stepped out of the Captain's front.

"Hadō 1 Shō!"

As Hiroshi had said, a white light appeared on the tip of my finger and quickly flew towards the Captain.

The Captain's eyes immediately opened and she shifted her posture, bringing her hand in front of the light bullet.

Everything went as Hiroshi said, but something was wrong. Even if the captain broke her stance, Hiroshi's attacks were useless.

As the captain began to slowly lower her hand, she stared into my eyes for a long time.

"Hufff... My plans didn't work out."

Hiroshi immediately approached me and continued to grumble some more.

"That was the only plan I had in mind, no matter how we attack it, it won't work."

Then we continued to attack Captain Yoshie Ayako for almost the entire day. Even if I used Hadō in many different ways, we couldn't find any of the Captain's weaknesses.

I couldn't go on any longer, I was starting to lose my breath.

I continued to stand still for a while where I was and began to watch my surroundings. Many captains had already left the garden.

Only four captains remained in the garden. There was no reason for them to stand in the garden, as the other captains had no other disciples with whom they were paired.

I don't know how many hours we fought, but it was already getting dark.

I was about to take a deep breath and attack again, when Captain Marahiba suddenly appeared and began to call out.

"Attention to the students who are still in the duel. Congratulations, you have successfully completed the first stage."

All the students were standing still, looking at Captain Marahiba.

"Dueling students can move aside and continue to rest."

Then the students, still waiting their turn, began to call out to Captain Marahiba.

"What about our turn, captain? We couldn't even duel because of them."

"Don't worry, we still have practice ahead of us and the duels aren't over here, they're still going to continue."

"Let's come to only 8 students who won this duel. Congratulations on your success, we didn't expect you to win anyway, but we didn't expect you to make this much progress either. Jin-kun, using Hadō during the duel had a positive effect on all the captains here."

Before the day was over, somehow the Captain said we had won. As Captain Yoshie Ayako called out to me as I was about to leave the garden, I turned to look at her.

"Takeshi-kun. The Hadō you used was quite powerful for an ordinary Shinigami. If I wasn't your enemy, you could have won somehow."

After saying these things, Captain Yosihe Ayako left me and walked away.
