Actions have consequences

During this year, Sora focused on his Quincy powers and fooled around with Nova in his free time. It was the coolest thing in the entire world for him when he realized that he does not have to move for his daily activities. His powers can do it for him. From drinking water to opening doors to doing homework, and even use the bathroom; Sora's will was the only requirement. It was remarkable. Not only did it refine his control as the practice was necessary to do everything previously mentioned, but it also saved him time. Though he did wonder what his limitations were. Could he change water into fire? Could he control gravity? Could he alter DNA? There were many questions and fewer answers. Sora hoped to release every bit of its potential.

Nonetheless, he learned new Quincy skills and they were being improved every day. So far, Sora has mastered the Heilig Pfeil and its upgrade, Licht Regen. From somewhere around two months of devotion was the time needed for him to bring it up to a level where even Ryūken was slightly impressed. In power, Sora falls behind by a significant amount, but his speed had managed to barely catch up to the elder Quincy. His arrow formation has become nearly instant and the Licht Regen no longer had to be charged to be fired.

As he promised himself, he did test the Quincy Bow and he was completely correct. There was no disparity other than appearance and his mixture attachment.

Speaking of mixtures, his experiment of them provided results that further heightened his already insane growth rate. His Hollow Shroud, aside from adding explosive power to the arrow, can do what Hollows do best; devour. The first time he harmed a Hollow with this, he permanently became a little mightier while the nightmarish creature in front of him lost a notable amount of its strength, making it easy prey. That's when he theorized what his Shinigami Shroud can do and he proved himself right when he witnessed the Hollow become purified. Suffice to say, that's how he was been hunting every time those creatures entered the town.

Of course, it was ineffective to utilize two arrows to finish the job when only one was essential. Thus began another session for the mastery of the Shrouds. Upon completion and succeeding in enhancing his efficiency, a small seed of pride was planted in his heart.

Now, the only problem was the decision to activate the Shinigami Shroud on the Grand Fisher or solely the Hollow Shroud. Sora did not doubt that the former Shroud will destroy the Grand Fisher, but he wasn't satisfied. He wanted it to suffer and Kisuke provided the information he wanted. Wicked Hollows end up in Hell and he genuinely smiled for the first time in two years at the thought of it.

Speaking of corrupted souls, his Hollow Powers were not advancing at all. It refused to budge for some odd reason. His abilities always responded to his will and these, he figured, demanded something else. Bye-bye life-saving healing for the moment.

Anyways, halfway through the year, Ryūken began teaching Sora about Blut which is simply absorbing Reishi and making it flow through the blood vessels. This gave access to two of the three abilities of Blut.

The first two are plain and very straightforward. Blut Vene was the defense boost and Blut Arterie was the offense boost. Gaining these abilities by training was not that hard, but using them together? Impossible. Due to each flowing through different Reishi systems, only one can be activated at a time. Perhaps it is hopeless for others, but Sora believed in himself. After all, he is the impossible and maybe his unique heritage can allow him to do things the Quincies can not.

Although the third one was a challenge as only the King of Quincies can operate it, he was determined to learn it. If it's feasible for one person to do it, others might achieve it too. As Sora's motto goes, no technique is left behind. It was probably his perfectionist side of him saying that.

Aside from training, Sora doesn't do much else. Yes, he was a model student, but that was it. His blooming reputation changed from friendly genius to loner extraordinaire. Meaning he doesn't have a social life anymore due to his actions or lack of it.

This trend, unfortunately, followed him to his family. What was previously a happy home became something uncomfortable for everyone. The children had no way to approach or talk with Sora without feeling distressed while Isshin was helplessly viewing this happen from the side. It was as if a cold war initiated in the Kurosaki household and the source of it acted as if it didn't exist.

It wasn't like Sora was ignorant of his surroundings. He honestly had priorities. Why in the world would he fool around when there were threats everywhere? Every day that passes, his danger sense becomes more active. Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, Karakura Town; not a single one of them is safe. Time was quickly running out and Sora had to do what he had to. If that meant that his relationships will be strained due to neglect then so be it. He would much prefer them alive to reconcile at a later date than let them get killed due to his lack of effort. If it can be prevented, Sora was damn sure that he will take that opportunity.

920 words exactly. I deserve some Hashbrowns.

So more progress on his Quincy and Fullbring powers. Then there is the situation with his family. I hope to not make this a full-blown drama. You also got some insight into Sora's character. Both Sora and Ichigo are protectors, but they do things very differently.
