Chapter 2: New Heaven

Gruv looked up at the clock on the wall of the restaurant, noticing his shift was done for the day he told Hailey and took off.

Today was Saturday, A week had passed by of him working at the restaurant as a waiter, cook, or whatever task the Husband and Wife couple assigned to him.

Gruv looked at the little money in his wallet that he has gotten directly from working at the restaurant and realized that he could pay maybe a week of bills and some small snacks for now.

While walking a block over to his 1 bedroom apartment he was looking forward to the release of New Heaven at midnight tonight.

During the week after working to the bone at work he would go directly to bed but every morning he was busy getting ready and cleaning out parts of his trashy apartment to make it a little more livable and room for his new gaming pod that was coming in an hour.

While waiting for his gaming pod to show up at the door, a ring tone could be heard all around the room.

"Ring Ring"

"Ring Ring"

"Where's my phone, Where's my phone!" said Gruv, looking through some piles of garbage with panic.

"Ring Ring"

After moving around some garbage bags and some other random filth he found his small black flip phone on the floor.

He answered the phone.

"Hello Gruv, When are you paying next your next installment of rent? If you don't pay in a couple days i'm going to have to go to your door and through you out with your trash bags trailing" said Rupert, the apartment owner and a money goblin.

"I have enough money to pay for a week of rent at the moment and I am working to get more" said Gruv.

"Good, good, good, I will show up tomorrow to collect the rent in person, make sure its the right amount." said Rupert.

"I will have the money and give it to you then" said Gruv begrudgingly.

"Beep"(Gruv Hanged up)

As he ended the call and closed his phone the only door to his apartment was pounded on by a loud "Bang, Bang, Bang".

He chucked the phone on his bed to not loose it again.

Opening the door Gruv saw a delivery guys with a huge carboard box on the floor.

"Hello can you please sign this to say the delivery was complete", said one of the delivery men.

After signing the form Gruv said, "Ok can you bring in the package and put it into the only open space in the room please."

After taking in the Gaming pod the delivery guys put it in the correct spot, since it really was the only space that it could fit in the small 1 bedroom apartment.

Gruv looked over at one of the Delivery men leaving and he saw the disgust on his face from the messy room.

After closing the door, Gruv thought to himself that it didn't matter what others thought because he will work to get better living conditions.

After getting the gaming pod and unboxing it he looked at the time and there was still a lot of time till release of game.

Looking at the gaming pod he noticed a manual and a teaser with information for the game New Heaven.

New Heaven

The game to change everyone's lives.

The game made from the collective minds of all.

Special Notes about New Heaven and its System:

While reading the special notes about the game Gruv read that the system for the Game was to be level 1-100 and once you hit level 100 you can prestige and go back to level 1.

However when you prestige you can wear gear that was designated for your class that has 2 abilities, better then no prestige gear(Prestige 1 is everyone at the start).

Instead of 1 ability on gear, prestige 2 would allow gear to be worn that has 2 abilities and so forth until you hit prestige 5 level 100 which was the level of gods with 5 abilities on each piece of gear. To wear the full affects however of Gear you need to be in the correct Heaven.

However User PLEASE note these few exceptions:

1. The system of the game can be changed with Special gear and Special character classes and or updates.

2. At the level of gods some things change that might make it easier or harder for characters to defeat their foes.

3. The level of gear is White(Common), Green(Uncommon), Purple(Epic), Yellow(Semi-Legendary), Orange(Legendary), and Red(God) which affects the quality of the abilities and quantity to be game breaking. The () terms are used interchangeably for classifying the level of gear and levels of people.

There was another page on the flier which Gruv read and while waiting he watched TV on his 10 year old TV which he had recently cleaned out of the mess of the room.

On TV there was a news anchor talking about the game and known knowledge that he just read over but there was something different about the news anchor as he looked excited while also dreadful.

Druv assumed that the news anchor wanted to play the game but had to work at the news during the release of the game, the game being a world wide phenomenon and the anchor not wanting to miss it.

He reported on many other political things as well and why this was made with the whole world.

"The government has come out with a statement saying for everyone to do there best and that everyone should go out and buy a gaming pod to play the game".

Gruv was actually shocked of this new news because before he just bought the capsule because the game was made by the whole world but now it looks like more people are going to have to get into this game and it was more serious then he once thought.

Now just a few minutes away from the release he went into the Gaming Pod, Supposedly there was tiers of pods for more realistic feeling in the game but he got the most budget version to save money for gambling that night.

Once he was in the capsule there was a countdown on the screen till the games launch.
