*Special* Chapter Thirteen

*First Year*

Me and Draco were talking on a windowsill about random things.

"Who's your favorite teacher so far, Y/N?" Draco asks me. I think for a moment before answering.

"Definitely Snape." I say. Draco looks at me like I'm crazy.

"How?" He asks. I shrug before answering.

"I just feel like he is a really good person on th inside, he just had his heart broken so many times. I feel like is someone was to break down the walls he's built up over the years, he could learn to trust and show his true emotion. Everyone has a good side. Some people just have a bad way of showing it. Also I love how dramatic he is." I say. Draco laughs at the last part but thinks about my other words for a bit.

"Okay, that actually makes sense." I chuckle.

"Of course it does. Now it's your turn, who's your favorite teacher?" I ask the blonde haired wizard.

"Uhm, maybe Madam Hooch? Her eyes are cool." He says. I couldn't help but giggle.

"Yeah they are." I agree.

*Time Skip*

I was sitting next to Draco in potions class, working on a potion. I look back at the textbook to find out what the next ingredient is. Troll mucus. Ew. I grab the jar of Troll Mucus and open it up. I nearly gagged at the smell. It smelt like rotten apples mixed with BO, spoiled milk, and rotten eggs.

"This is the last ingredient." I say to Draco, who was plugging his nose. He nods his head and I grab the measuring spoon. I scoop up two spoon full of mucus and pour it into the cauldron. The potion swirls a bit before turning into a dark brown type of color. I quickly close the mucus and  me and Draco raise our hands for Snape to know that we're done. He looks to us from his spot on the desk and walks over, his cloak flowing dramatically behind him. I resist the urge to laugh. It wasn't at him, it was at his dramaticness for everything.

He stops in front of our desk and looks down into our cauldron. He takes a moment before looking back up at us.

"Looks acceptable." He nods and walks back to his desk. I turn to Draco and high-five him in victory. The bell rang and everyone immediately poured out of the classroom. Everyone except me and Draco.

"Go on. I'll just be a minute." I tell him. He looks at me curiously before nodding and leaving. I walk up to Snapes desk. He looks up at me and cocks an eyebrow.

"What is it, Miss Weasley? I am very busy with grading these papers, as you can see." He says in his normal monotone voice.

"I know, and I'm sorry for interrupting you, but, actually never mind." I say.

'You are so stupid, Y/N. Just face the bullies on your own.'

I turn around to leave but he says something.

"Bullies?" He asks, I could hear a bit of concern in his voice. I gulp and turn around.

"How....?" I ask.

"Legilimens. Bullies? What bullies?" He asks. I look down at the ground, shuffling my feet and playing with my fingers.

"Yeah. Uhm, there's this group of Ravenclaws and Gryffindors who like to pick on me in the halls." I say quietly. I hear him sigh and sit back in his seat.

"I know a few spells that can help. Come to my classroom after classes everyday. We will practice them. Do not tell a soul." He threatens. I perk up. I couldn't help the smile that came onto my face.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yes. Now get out before I change my mind." He says, going back to his papers.

"Thank you!" I say before grabbing my stuff and leaving the classroom. I was so happy that I would be able to stand up to them!

*Time Skip*

I have been spending a lot of time with Professor Snape. He's been teaching me different spells and ways to escape the bullies. I've also been able to get to know a bit more about him. He sometimes let's things slip that he doesn't mean to but I don't judge him about it. Whenever he let's something slip, I tell him something. I figured it would be a fair trade.

"You are so wrong!" I exclaim at the professor.

"No, you are." He says, trying not to smile.

"You cannot sit there and tell me that pumpkin juice is better then butterbeer! It's physically impossible!" I say, my hands flying above my head as I stand up quickly. I could see him trying not to laugh at me.

"I can say it because it's true." He says with amusement in his voice. I huff and cross my arms before sitting down again and pouting. I heard him let out the tiniest chuckle, but quickly hides it. I heard it though and I knew I was succeeding. I slowly turn to him with a mischievous smirk.

"Did I, Y/N M/N Weasley, just hear the Professor Snape, chuckle?" I ask with a tilt of my head at the end. He narrows his eyes at me.

"No." I couldn't help but jump up in excitement.

"I did it! My life goal has been completed! I wish everyone the best of luck! Thank you everyone who helped me on the way. I hope you all accomplish what you want to in life. Goodbye!" I say as I slowly make my way to the door. Once I finish the sentence, I salute Snape before leaving his classroom and going back to my dorm. Little did I know that I had made him smile the tiniest smile when I was making my dramatic exit. I had made the Severus Tobias Snape smile. Something only one other person before has done.

*Year Two*

I was in diagon alley with the other Weasleys. The twins and Ron had stolen our father's car to rescue Harry Potter, so he was with us too. We had used floo transportation to get here and Harry had not been clear enough when he spoke so my mother sent Hagrid to go find him.

We enter the bookstore and I immediately spot a patch of platinum blonde hair on the ledge above the counter. I smile and quickly run up to Draco. He smiles when he sees me.

"Y/N! I missed you!" He says as he brings me in for a hug. I smile and hug him back.

"I missed you too, Draco." I say. He pulls away and we start chatting. It wasn't until Lockhart showed up that we look down again. We watch the whole thing go down. He spots Harry, Harry gets free books, they make the front page, yadda yadda yadda. I could tell Draco was jealous of the attention Harry got. Not gonna lie, I was jealous that he got more attention from my family then I did.

"Come on." Draco says to me. I nod and follow him down the stairs until we reach where Harry and the rest of the Weasleys were.

"Bet you loved that, didn't you Pottah? Famous Harry Pottah, can't even go to a bookshop without making the front page!" Draco exclaims. I try my best not to laugh at Harry's failed attempt at a death glare.

'He just looks very constipated.'

"Leave him alone." I hear a tiny voice say. I look to see that Ginny has stepped up in front of Draco. It takes all my energy to not burst out laughing at how pathetic she looks.

"Oh look Pottah, you got yourself a girlfriend!" Draco says before a metal snake head hits his shoulder. Draco tenses up immediately and I don't miss the terrified look he gets on his face once he realizes it's his father. Lucius Malfoy.

"Now, now Draco. Play nicely."  His deep voice says. Draco moves back over to me. Lucius does his thing while Draco pulls me further away from the scene.

"You okay Draco?" I ask him. He gulps before answering.

"Y-yeah. I'm fine. You excited for school this year?" He asks, avoiding the question.

"Heck yeah I am!" I say. Draco laughs at my exitedness.

"I am too. We can do quidditch this year!" I gasp.

"I forgot about that! What position do you wanna play?" I ask him.

"Seeker. What about you?"

"Keeper or chaser." Draco was about to say something when Lucius spoke up.

"Draco, let's go." Draco gives me one more quick hug before leaving. Not without stopping in front of Harry again.

"See you at school." He spits before leaving.

*Time Skip*

I was on the train, waiting for Draco to show up when there was a knock on my compartment door. I look to find two people. A black haired girl with a dark skinned boy next to her. I got up and opened the door.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" I ask.

"Can we sit here? Everywhere else is full." I smile and move aside. They come in and shut the door behind them. We all sit down and start talking. We got along pretty well. Draco came eventually and joined in our conversation. We laughed, joked, talked, and stuff until we arrived at the castle a few hours later.

"What house are you guys in?" The girl, Pansy, asks us.

"Slytherin." Me and Draco say in unison. The boy, Blaise, and Pansy smile.

"Same here! Let's sit together at dinner." Blaise says. Me and Draco agree.

*Time Skip*

I was sitting in potions while everyone else packed up and left. Once everyone was gone, I walked up to Snapes desk.

"Hello Professor Snape. Did you have a good summer?" I ask in a cheerful tone.

"It was the same as it always is." He says. I chuckle and nod.

"Of course it was. Are we still continuing our lessons this year?" I ask, just to be sure.

"I don't see why not. Same time as last year. See you then." He gives me a final nod before going back to his papers. I smile.

"Alright." I go back to my desk and grab my stuff.

"See you later, Professor Snape." I say before leaving. I leave the potions classroom and walk towards the Slytherin common room. Only then, I see water in the hallway. I follow it to a wall with a message written in blood and something furry hanging on the wall. I look up at the message.

'The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware.'

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion before I hear something behind me. The last thing I remember seeing is two piercing yellow eyes before my body froze up and everything went black.

*Time Skip*

When I open my eyes, I see that I'm in the hospital wing. I feel someone's hand in mine. I look to the side and see Draco sitting there with red puffy eyes and he was sniffling, meaning he is or was crying. I squeeze his hand, making him shoot his head up and look at me with relief.

"Hey, Draco." I say, my throat dry from lack of water. Draco quickly grabs my cup of water on my bedside table. He hands it to me so I sit up straight and take a long drink. I set it down next to me and Draco immediately engulfs me into a hug. I laughs and hug him back.

"Did you miss me?" I ask him once he pulls away.

"No. I actually enjoyed having you gone. Of course I missed you, you bafoon!" He exclaims. I laugh again and kick my legs off the side of the bed.

"What happened?" I ask him as we start walking to the great hall.

"You were petrified by a giant basilisk that lived in the chamber of secrets. And guess who killed it?" He asks me. I scoff and roll my eyes.

"Potter." I say. He nods his head.

"Of course he did." I say. Draco hums in agreement. We continue walking, in silence this time, until we reach the doors of the great hall. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I feel Draco put a hand on my shoulder, making me open my eyes and look at him.

"It'll be okay." He reassures me. I get an idea and smirk.

"Yeah, they'll be to busy noticing your tear stained cheeks." I tease. His face changes into a glare, making me laugh. We push open the doors, him stall glaring and me still laughing at him, and make our way over to the Slytherin table. Pansy and Blaise look very relieved to see me again as they jump up and pull me into a group hug. I laugh and hug them back.

"I'm gonna take this as a sign that you missed me?" I ask them as they pull away.

"Duh." They say in unison, making them both blush. I smirk and lean closer to Dracos ear.

"How long have they been like this?" I ask. He chuckles and whispers back.

"Too long." He says. Me and him laugh before we all sit down and engage in a conversation.
