Chapter 3

Win's POV (Flashback)

After packing up, I quickly got out of school and took a cab to go some place.

The place where the black rabbit comes out.

The place where it all started.

I sit on a chair as my mom look at me, doubting my decision.

"Are you sure about this?" She asks, her eyes look skeptical.

I nodded without any hesitation.

"You know...you don't have to do this, your father and I aren't even soulmates so..." She said and rubbed my hand with hers.

"I know but...it's different okay? I'm a hundred percent sure mom, don't worry." I said and smiled in her direction

She sighed but then nodded.

"Fine, I'll start now." She said and that was the last thing I remembered before I passed out.

When I woke up, I felt excruciating pain some where in my body. I gritted my teeth as my brain pop up images of blood oozing out a certain part of my body.

The memories I had were blurry and my head started to hurt as I try to remember the recent but seemingly suppressed memories.

I felt my face, it was sticky. I remembered crying silently, my mind is all fuzzy as pictures of something pointy keeps popping in my mind.

My thoughts were interrupted by a soft voice.

"Win, are you awake?" The voice said.

The memories come rushing in my brain after I heard the voice.

"Yeah!" I shout.

I looked at the clock and my eyes widen the moment I saw the numbers.

4:59...

I stood up, ignoring the pain that's slowly surfacing. I asked my mom to bring my things home for I have to go to a date.

Narrator's POV

Bright and Win were walking side by side, Bright coolly tucking his hands in his pockets, while Win is anxiously playing with his fingers.

Bright glanced at Win, noticing how unbothered Win was.

But he did nothing.

He did nothing.

Because he didn't care.

He didn't care about him.

Bright just kept walking, until they reached this small forest/swamp area. They were standing before some vines that were supported by the trees. Bright seperated the vines and entered his safe haven.

Win just stood there, unmoving. He didn't know what to do, if he should follow him in or just stand there.

What is he doing? Bright thought to himself.

What am I doing? Win asked himself.

When suddenly...

"What are you doing idiot." Bright said with an annoyed look on his face, holding the vines for him.

Win then fast walked towards him and carefully went in. The place was beautiful.

It was breathtaking. There were fairy lights that were hanging on the ceiling, fire flies everywhere. There is a small pond in the middle of everything.

There's a bench with moss and flowers growing on it. There were tulips all over the place, and vines climbing up the trees.

They sat down on the bench and started talking about random things.

Their hands sometimes would brush against each other, it was torture for Win.

Their eyes full of longing, their want to be loved showing. The moon light shining on them, the stars above twinkling for them. The moon giving them the spot light they deserve.

Smiles slowly creeping up their faces, their eyes getting small as they smile wider than they ever did with any one.

Their hearts beating in sync, yet they don't even realize. Their heart strings getting tangled more and more as seconds pass by.

The moment was perfect.

Win wanted to ask Bright why he suddenly got interested in this soulmate stuff but he didn't bother to.

"Win..."

Win was deep in his thoughts when suddenly Bright called him. He hummed in response.

"Who are you?" Bright asked, he was closely looking at Win.

"I'm Win, what are you even thinking about?" Win replied, his aura got darker, lost in a sea full of confusion.

"Everyone has a stupid love sick story, so..." Bright said, his chin resting on his hand.

"What's yours? I'll tell mine if you tell yours first." Win replied, smiling reassuringly.

Bright was at loss for words as he stares at his smile. It was so bright, like stars that aligned. It was more breathtaking than the place they were at. More breathtaking than the constellations out there.

He stared at him, Win was like an open ending of a story. You can't help but think what's next, what really is the ending, or what happened. It makes you curious, he makes you curious.

Win is a black hole disguised as light. He illuminates, light emitting from him. But when you get to know him, you'll get sucked in faster than light travels.

You'll be like a fly attracted to a random lamp post on the street.

He's interesting, like an unknown lab experiment or monster that's been accidentally brought to life. Maybe even an alien who disguised themself as human.

"Bright?"

The sound of Win's voice made him stop thinking about him. It's crazy that he's thinking about Win while he's right in front of him.

"Yeah sorry." Bright said as he shook his head, trying to get the thoughts out of his head.

Bright then started telling his "stupid love sick story" while tears were welling up in his eyes.

Win stared at him, trying to read him as much as possible.

Bright's voice sounded like the rain for Win. It was relaxing and soothing yet painful.

Why was it painful?

Because he knew he was flying

HE'S FLYING.

He knew that his voice won't be this calm if he found out.

He knew that the rain would turn into a catastrophic storm.

HE KNEW.

But he just let the soothing rain turn into a catastrophic storm.

He let himself fly.

Knowing he would fall hard.

He let him become a natural disaster.

Knowing that he was a whole forest that he can destroy.
