Chapter 1

Narrator's POV

In this world...soulmates are very much needed. The lives of people are based on an app.

"The soulmate finder"

This app sets you up with a date with someone, someone that might be your soulmate, but you never know unless their name has been imprinted on your skin.

"The name of your soulmate will only appear when you meet them."

Enough with the explaining...

Let's just get into this story shall we?

Narrator's POV

Win was just another rain drop that falls to the ground, he's just another star in the sky. The type of star that hides among his kind. If the world's a huge piece of white paper then he's just a white crayon that has no purpose when used by itself. He lives just to compliment other people like how the stars compliment the sky and how a white crayon gives emphasis to a drawing.

He lives only to blend in the crowd. He's just another fish in the water, nothing rare, nothing special. His purpose is to only live and love.

Just another person with heartstrings that kept getting pulled by someone, someone who can't even look at him.

He's a hopeless romantic, he never gives up his beliefs about true love and such.

Though he knows that...

...he will never wind up with the right person.

Bright gives off this eerie but enticing aura. He's dangerous, he's like a drug, you get addicted and intoxicated to the point that you might die but all you can think about at your last moments is how you want more.

Bright, instead of being a star that's above, he's actually the SKY. He's the guy who won't look at anything. A guy that doesn't believe in all that soulmate business. Others are under the curse of love, but he isn't. How can he be when he's the curse himself.

Being charmed by him is like being out in the rain. You might get sick, might catch a cold but you don't want to put an umbrella above your head because he is the rain in this metaphor.

Don't ever let yourself be in any type of relationship with him for you will fall. Don't fall in love with him...

...because he has no heartstrings.

"He's hell everything that falls for him either wallow in despair or die."

The story begins on a cold saturday evening, the rain is pouring hard and the wind is strong. Win is under his bed's sheets, mellow music playing in the background. As usual, Win is waiting for the app to notify him while staring at photographs of someone that he will soon fall in love with but that of course is unbeknownst to him.

His fingers run through his hair as he stares at the photos that were all scattered on his bed, he then looks at his right wrist, still noticing the blank space. There was a rhythmic pattern of knocking on his bedroom door, it was soft and gentle. The sound of the rain and the music made it impossible for him to hear the knocking.

His eyes glisten, tears building up in his eyes as sadness starts to form around the base of his fragile heart. His moment got ruined by the door forcefully getting opened by his mom. He quickly gathers the photos and wipes away the several tears that escaped from his eyes. He placed the photographs under his pillow and quickly smiled at his mom.

"Are you okay?" His mom asked him and proceeds to approach him.

"Yeah."

He then turns his music off and looks at his mom.

"What is it that you want, mother?" He asks after he heaves a sigh.

"Nothing, just checking up on you." She answers, a worried smile gracing her face.

"I'm okay, you can go now...I still have to do my homework." He replied and swiftly brought out his books and notebooks.

She sighs and turns on her heel heading for the door. She then opens the door, remembering to look at Win first before closing the door completely.

The only thing that can be heard in the room now was Win's heavy breathing, the last raindrops hitting the metal roof and the sound of the tip of his ballpen scratching on the paper's surface.

He was so invested in studying and finishing his assignments that he failed to hear the small "ding!" coming from his cellphone.

-30 minutes later-

Win drops his pen and closes his books and kept the loose papers that landed on the wooden floor. He cleaned everything up and he then almost immediately grabbed his phone.

He clicks on the notification and his eyes widen as he reads the words on the screen in his mind, over and over again like a broken record.

"You will meet Bright Vachirawit tomorrow, here's his number: xxx-xxx-xxx." He reads it out loud this time.

"Hope he's your soul mate, good luck!!" He then proceeded to read the other message.

He cupped his mouth in his hand, a bittersweet taste settling in his mouth as little raindrops start pouring out from his clouds.

He was more than ecstatic as he had liked the boy for quite some time now. The walls of sadness built around his heart was slowly melting away just by the mere thought of having a date with him.

Then his smile slowly faded away when he looked at his wrist.

Oh that...

He sighed in complete distress but then a message suddenly popped up in his phone, it was an unknown number.

"hey...it's bright." He whispered to himself and he smiled as he then typed away, his gloomy thoughts fading away...a small smile etched on his face. His heart beating 5 beats faster, sweat pooling in his palms.

The feeling worried him but...

it all felt so good...

Then at that moment...the white rabbit was now covered in ink then....

the black rabbit was born...
