8. Seeing Men In Black Again

Akira finally left after answering some questions from the police officer. By Haruda-san's request, the local media did not manage to take a single picture or a video of him. Haruda-san said it was for his safety since the people involved in the incident were quite powerful. He even waited for him in his car and kindly offered him a ride to the next town.

Akira accepted his offer since he had no other choice aside from hitting a ride in one of the police mobile cars. And it looks like the police officers will take more time to finish their work. At first he was hesitant since he did not really know Haruda-san. The head police officer saw this and so Haruda-san, which made the latter take out his badge. Introducing himself as a police officer who is currently on leave. Akira awkwardly said sorry after this in which Haruda-san answered he did not mind since his reaction was only natural.

It's already past eight in the evening when they arrived in the next town. Akira chose to stay in a local hotel where Haruda-san currently stayed.

"Actually I am visiting a sickly old friend here. Earlier I went to my friend's home. I'm on my way back when I heard the explosion."

"So where exactly is your current post Haruda-san?" Akira asked as they entered the entrance of the local hotel.

"Me? My current post is actually in Small Island City. I would just bring you along there. It's just that I still have to stay here for days."

"Oh it's okay. You already helped me a lot, Haruda-san. Thank you again for that." Akira hurriedly said.

"Haha! Don't thank me anymore kid. What I did was just small compared to the help you had done out there." Haruda-san said, which made Akira directly shut his mouth that made the man laugh again.

"Oh, Haruda-san. Welcome back!" A young clerk greeted with a faint blush on her cheeks.

"Good evening, cute little-chan. Can you give a room for my little buddy here?" Haruda-san smiled charmingly which made the girl blushed more while her other girl companion had a starred eyes.

Akira watched this silently as he fixed his reading glass and looked down. Trying to minimize his presence.

"O-oh, yes! O-of course! Please fill this form sir." The clerk finally turned her attention to Akira and smiled warmingly. After filling out some details the clerk gave Akira the key to his room which is next to Haruda-san's room. After thanking the girls, the two men went to their respective rooms which were located on the third floor.

"Hey boy. We still did not have our dinner. Wanna go down again after settling to have dinner or would you like to have it delivered to your room?" Haruda-san asked as he opened the door to his room.

"Okay. Ah, is there still a store open that sells clothes here? You see, the baggage that had my clothes was on the train." Akira said as he looked at his currently worn out clothes.

"Yes. There is still an open store. Let's go there first before it closes. Then let us have our dinner afterwards."

Akira brought some pairs of clothes, a hygiene kit and other necessities. Then they had dinner in one local restaurant.

Early at 4:30 in the morning, Akira and Haruda-san left the hotel. Haruda-san dropped him off at the bus station and took the 5:00 AM bus to Small Island City.

7:00 AM, Akira arrived at the bus station in Small Island City and took a taxi to the airport. Arriving at the airport, Akira hurriedly ran after getting out of the taxi. He accidentally bumped the shoulder of one person when he hurriedly passed through. He looked back and said sorry and suddenly paused slightly then hurriedly turned around to continue running.

'Holly cow! Isn't that the big bull man?' Akira shouted inside his mind and suddenly felt tense when he remembered the videos he watched from the drive he took on the train. It was all about illegal transactions of advanced high caliber firearms, illegal drugs, and some prostitution. They were the transactions  between unknown foreigners and well known figures in politics and some businessmen. He also saw a high ranking military and police officer. If he is correct, the incident yesterday, the drive he took and these men in black are all related. So he really did not want to see them again. And the drive that he took, he cut it into small pieces and flushed it in the toilet but he made a copy inside his laptop. He put it inside a crypted secret file that only he can access.
