11. Imperial University

After waking up from a nap, Akira checked the time on his wristwatch. 3:16 PM. He suddenly thought of yesterday's incident. He shook his head a bit and took a deep breath to calm his mind. After a while, Akira climbed out from the king sized bed. Stretching a little bit, then started cleaning the Master's bedroom with a duster and a wet towel. Earlier he just took off the white piece of cloth that covered the bed and directly rolled to sleep on the bed.

It's been a while since the house was last cleaned as there was already a small accumulated dust on the surfaces. He reckoned his late grandfather did the cleaning here once a month as he always left home 7-10 days straight at every end of the month back then. Good thing there was complete cleaning equipment so cleaning the house made it easier and faster. The house is big so it took him almost six hours to finish cleaning from second floor to first floor. He ate his dinner after he heard his stomach grumble. He had ordered it earlier via telephone.

After eating dinner, he walked around the garden. Although it was already night time, it was very bright outside because of the light  post every 6 meters. The silence made him a little lonely. Before, even though it was only him and his grandfather living in the house together below the hill, it wasn't silent as it is. He always heard his grandfather's voice every minute. Even when they were inside the lab or when they went up the mountains to pick herbs. His grandfather always had something to talk to him about. Tomorrow he has to go to the university for early enrollment. This time, he would do it alone. His grandfather always accompanied him in every event of his life. In every school activity, in every school enrollment, in every competition, in every exam he took, his grandfather would be with him or patiently wait for him outside even if it took a whole day. Now, he has to do all of it alone in the future.

With his hands inside his pocket, Akira took a deep sigh as he gazed at the night sky. A single tear escaped from the corner of his eye. After feeling his neck sore, he slowly turned around and entered the house.

At 5:00 AM, Akira turned off the alarm. He slowly climbed out of the bed and stretched. After washing his face and brushing his teeth, he changed into a pair of black sweater and jogging pants. 

After locking the gate, Akira slowly jogged from his house to the park area. He did not forget to put on his headphones. 

Akira jogged for 2 hours before he got home. When he got home, the auto watering plants system was already in the midst of watering the garden. It's also the same in the greenhouse. Akira took a 15 minutes break before he took a bath and changed clothes to go out.

He walked about 20 minutes before he got to Area C bus station which was located near the park area. Then the shuttle bus would take another 20 minutes to Area C Subway Station. From the subway station, it would take 30 minutes to arrive at Area F subway station where schools, universities, colleges, hospitals and industrial areas are located.

From Area F subway station, there were exclusive Imperial University shuttle buses that would take you directly to Imperial University. Official University students and university staff could ride it for free; you just have to touch your electronic official students and workers ID on a card reader machine. Others would have to pay a specific fare. The shuttle bus then would take 30-40 minutes (including the traffic) to arrive at the university shuttle bus station across the university main entrance.

Akira stepped down from the shuttle bus and slowly walked towards the university main entrance along with some other students.

It was his second time around but he was still amazed at the grandiose look of the place. Very far away from his old school.

Akira saw a row of expensive vehicles lined up on each side 15 meters away from the entrance. Four security personnel were on guard. The crowd was divided into two lines. One line for boys and one line for girls. A one meter distance in each person was strictly observed.
