ONSLAUGHT

The SUV is overturned by something big, Zachary and Bruce were dragged out of the SUV. The two quickly killed the dead the dragged them, they looked around and the men on top of the helicopter are shooting the dead. The two immediately went to work by pulling the others outside the SUV, Orlando and Caiti is knocked out. 2 of the men came down and they are in armor, they clear the dead as well.

"ALL RIGHT FOLLOW US, WE'RE HEADING TO AN OPEN FIELD FOR EXTRACTION!"

"YES SIR"

"YOU BETTER STAY ON MY ASS, KILL ANYTHING THAT PASSES US OKAY!?"

"YES!!"

They start moving out, Bruce carries his daughter and Zachary carried Orlando on his back. Bogdan covered the others and starts to shoot the dead, they make every bullet count. The road is fully covered with a whole horde, they followed the soldier up front and they are heading to a football field.

"OKAY LET'S GO RUN!"

They sprinted cross the horde dodging all the attempted grabs of the biters. Bogdan would shoot the ones that gets near his friends. They enter one of the football field that has tents all around it, the helicopter clears all of the ones that chased after them, as they make it to the much wider field the helicopter attempts to go land but there's too much.

*We need to clear all of this biters before we can leave*

"Heard that, switch to melee and back to back to one another"

They all whipped out their melee weapons and prepared for an onslaught. They dragged 2 beds and laid Caiti and Orlando on it. They put them behind them and waits for the dead to come pouring in. Fortunately and for now only in one direction. They start walking slowly towards them, the men is yet to use the helicopter as the density of the horde is not that big. Zachary and Bogdan attacked the first ones that gets near them, they move slower than the ones they have encountered.

They look to the left and they can clearly see the smoke from the fire. They see it towering on the above them. They start to go up against the dead, the helicopter starts to open fire on the ones that are behind the ones that the team on the ground is killing. A runner has come rushing and jumped towards Bogdan who fell down on the ground, he was pinned until a billhook slices on its head. Caiti wakes up from her small concussion. She can still a bit of pain on her head but she gets her bearings.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, thanks"

They all start to defend much harder than earlier killing and clearing all of the dead is in front of them. Zachary notices some coming in from the right, one of the man on top noticed it and helped him. Bruce starts to help him as well, Zachary smiles at him that he was of aid. It is not long before they will be overrun by the horde, they start to kill everything on their way until the miniguns on the helicopters were malfunctioning. They hit it a few times and checked it, they all looked to the top noticing how the shots just went dead quiet.

"Oh no"

"Shit not right now"

They all panicked and walked back slowly as the horde has started to slowly overrun them. Not until they hear another helicopter and grenade launchers being fired down on the horde easily clearing it, the new helicopter signaled the first one to come down. They start their descend and they all got in the helicopter as the second helicopter gets rid of the horde with their grenade launchers. The helicopter ascended, the dead attempted to jump but they missed. They closed the doors and they headed to their next destination.

They all took a deep sigh, and hugged one another. The other 2 soldiers shook their hands with Zachary.

"Thank you"

"You're welcome... all right, we're safe.. you guys rest... actually we"

The 2 soldiers leaned their head and took a rest. Zachary looks through the window and sees the other helicopter, he can see a familiar insignia once more. He leaned over in shock seeing the helicopter as it increased in speed and went ahead. He immediately checks on his person where 'that' was, he looked over to his bag. He soon realized that he has a different bag, he panicked but he sees it on Bogdan.

"Can I have my bag Bogdan?"

"Dah, here"

"Thank you"

He checked on his bag and it seems to be not there either. He leaned back and starts to forget about the insignia.

Rodrick sits down and looks at the insignia on hand, he grabbed Zachary's bag back on Phoenix, he never noticed it. He looks at it and looks at the disturbed area where the helicopter lands. He sees the 2 helicopter comes down and he stood up, the people in the municipality comes out and readies to greet them. Caiti and Orlando was immediately rushed by the 2 soldiers to their small infirmary, as he was about to chase after them Zachary calls on him.

"Hey man"

"Holy shit"

The 2 hugged it out, he also gave Nevada a hug.

"Go to your brother, be with him"

"I missed you.."

Amongst the crowd they can hear Bruce calling on someone.

"Where's my boy... Roddy, where's Seymour?"

"We...we had to end him"

"end?"

He rushed to Rodrick and grabbed his shirt, asking him 'Where's my boy'. He starts to tear up as he repeatedly asked the man, all he can respond with is a disappointed face. He points toward the grave.

"No....No no"

He walked toward the grave yard but starts to run. He sees his son's freshly covered grave, his name carved on the stone. He walked close to his son's grave stone and hugs it, he starts to cry and bawl at the sight that he never got to say goodbye. 'I'm sorry Merida.... I'm sorry' He repeatedly bawled out, he starts to choke up on his words. Rodrick and Bogdan approached the old man and mourns with him, despite not knowing him that long.

Zachary stood there holding Nevada's hand. He feels a man approach towards and says.

'I exactly know how he feels.. losing a family member' He said with a calm and familiar voice. To which Zachary replied 'Yeah, me too', the man told him how he put Seymour out of his misery and buried him.

"Good to know that there are people still like you sir"

"Like me?"

"Who would still do that"

"Humanity is all we have"

Zachary was about to shake the man's hand as he turned around, he looks up to the man in gray and sees him. Zachary's eyes widen and starts to tear up, tears of joy was what supposed to come out, but no. He was enraged to this man, he punches him hard on the abdomen.

"What the fuck are you doing all the way here, and how are you here?!"

"Is that the town?"

"Yeah, let's check it out"

2 Strangers walked down to the community where Zachary once was. The corpses has fully reanimated.

"We can use this?"

"Yeah.."
