"Amare.. Its Harry"

Amare started to hug him, 'Keep quiet, they're hear' Harry said calmly. He seems to know what is happening in this town of Denton. Some of the townspeople approached them. 'Something wrong?' They asked the two, Harry started to tremble but managed to give a straight answer.

"What is that on the bridge?"

Amare is frozen in shock upon what Harry said, one of them shined a light on the broken bridge. The man on the bridge covered his face because of the bright light that is shone at him.

"What is it sir?"

"What have you there?"

"Some pork...bleeding, why?"

"Don't do it there...this two is confused now"

"Oh...sorry"

"I guess, we saw the wrong thing...sorry"

"Nah, we're the one who's sorry.. didn't gave you guys a heads up. Sorry"

The two parties nodded away, saying 'okay' repeatedly. Harry felt uncomfortable the whole time when they were talking to him, they started to 'act' as how Harry would see them. After they reached a certain point the people behind raised his hands and made a fist.

One of the man on the bridge started to pull someone's body drained with blood. What Amare saw was real, someone's body, bleeding out. Amare looked back at the creek and the soldier is smiling at him with such a wicked smile. Amare waved just to make sure and he waved back at the boy and smiled.

After that, his smiley face turned into something more sinister. He pulled out his radio and told someone.

"We have two new cattle.. over"

*Who is it*

"The new people, should we get all of them?"

*Except the baby...give it to mama*

Harry and Amare got into the house safely, Harry headed up to Toby's room. As he was about to open it Lee came out. The two had a awkward interaction, she nodded and headed downstairs. She seems to be wearing different clothes from earlier. He checked on his brother who is sitting.

"Are you okay now?"

"Yeah...of course"

"I've got something to tell you...about this place"

"Hit me"

"Okay"

He closed the window and started to tell what he and Amare encountered. He told everything, Tobias gave it a benefit of a doubt. Suddenly something came out of Harry's mouth that terrified him.

"There was someone laying beside him, it is a full moon and I clearly saw it"

"Drunk?"

"Don't you believe me?"

"I'm trying to...but maybe it is what you just saw... a drunk man"

"Maybe.. but Amare said he-"

"Amare, a kid...he might have saw this man holding his head, then puking"

"Why on the bridge then?"

"....."

"To wash away the vomit?"

"Bullshit!"

Downstairs they hear a knock, Tobias put on his jacket and they head downstairs. Harry now scared maybe they are after them after what they saw, Harry looked through the peephole and it is the same man from earlier.

"Oh no...Earl"

He grabbed his pistol and everyone got on alert. Lee and Toby grabbed a gun while Elizabeth put Amare behind her. He started to breathe heavily and he opened the door and they all aimed at him.

"Evenin' you guys okay?"

"....."

"Put the gun down...I know your scared....But what you saw were just cattle. okay?"

"Okay, why you here?"

"Meeting, a big horde is near"

"Toby, would you come with me?"

"Yeah"

"We'll be back"

The two men followed earl and Toby looked behind them and nodded. Lee started to pack everything to easily carry and Elizabeth helped.

"You know what's happening Lee?"

"Yeah, something about what Harry and the boy saw"

They were brought to the biggest house in the ward, and a meeting is about to be conducted. Harry and Tobias are in high alert, maybe everyone is against them. Earl started to explain about reinforcing the walls, everyone must help. He explained the expected time that the horde will hit them.

The doubts that Harry have is till present, Tobias is still open as he believes and disbelieve his brother at the same time. 'This hopefully is a safe place' it is the only thing that he can think of. He is hoping that what Harry thinks is wrong. One of the main reason that Harry cannot let his suspicion go because of what he heard back at the house, they were 'bait'. He kept thinking what it means, since Amare saw something they clearly shouldn't his suspicion grew bigger. Harry is starting to plan their escape.

"Ya'll don't have to worry, we have people, children who can fight... we can face them corpses or not...We don't have to worry...we need only to strengthen our walls"

The people in the room with them nodded their head, completely trusting to Earl. Harry feels that all eyes are on him, he kept turning but nothing. Maybe his paranoia is pushing deep within his head. He started to rub his lap, a mannerism that he picked up when he is afraid. He closed his eyes and his ears started to ring, when he opened his eyes it was him, Earl, Toby.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, my head just....i blacked out sorry"

"Its fine"

"Ya'll heard my plan right?"

"Yeah...I did i have no idea about him"

"You can just tell me, don't worry....I'll catch up"

"Sure, I'll you two...see ya tomorrow"

Earl left the room and the two brothers are the only one who is left, as soon as Harry started to speak Toby 'hushed' him. Until they completely cannot hear a footstep.

"What was that for?"

"Okay, I now one hundred percent believe you, there is something fucked about these people"

"Now you believe me?"

"Yeah.... There is something eerie about this place...we need to at least investigate...don't let them find out"

"Just the two of us?"

"Yeah...Of course"

They got out of the building and headed towards their home, even through their own eyes, the feeling is definitely going under their skin. The brothers starts to feel restless just the fact that they are in the same place with people who are most likely after them for what they have discovered.

Harry and Tobias started to close or cover every single window in the house, everyone looks confused with the two brothers. 'What's wrong?' Elizabeth asked her husband, but he only ignored her. The distress of the brothers is visible, something is wrong. Everyone sat down in the middle of the room and waited until the two is finish checking whatever they are checking.

"Okay... what's wrong"

"This place....something is off... everyone is off"

Harry started to explain what he and Amare saw, then Tobias explained what he thinks is going on. Their ideas overlap with the other's.

"Kill people who are weak, and...and those who go up against their.. uhm.. beliefs or something"

"What beliefs Toby"

"Earlier... during his speech I guess, he talked about decreasing population...Like its a good thing, the survivors will adapt or some fucked up shit"

"Are we next?"

"I don't know, we have a baby with us... I highly doubt they'll go after us"

As they throw ideas theorizing about the real intention of the 'government' of Denton to their people. Someone starts to knock on their door, no one moved at first. The knock seemed weak, not wanting to raise any awareness. Toby looked through the peephole.

"Its the guy that was with us...Harry wanna talk to him?"

"Yeah...sure"

Harry opened the door and Bryce immediately got in and closed the door shut, It startled Louanne and she starts to frown but Elizabeth managed to stop it. Suddenly Bryce started to spat out everything he knows about these people that he involved himself with.

"Cannibals?"

They all have now fear fueling their distress, they all started to feel heavy. He furthermore explained the purpose of the 2nd and 3rd wards, something they made up to keep the trust of those in the 1st ward. They would kill them, drain on the river, and get any meat that they can feast on. They throw away the corpses to Martinak State Park, the smell attracts the dead to it and they feast on it.

"Have you eaten anyone?"

"No, god no...the four us never ate it...they offered but no...its fucked"

"Good, can we ride on the boats?"

"They use it to dump the corpses on, there's a massive hill of corpses, everyone started to eat...out of fucking desperation"

"And they started to make a belie- or philosophy about eating others"

"We need to get out of here"

"The highway is the only escape we have"

'I agree' Toby cuts in.

"We can use the horde...2 days the horde will come, but we can attract them quickly...we need to make a noise"

"The Yachts... Lee can create pipe bombs"

"Yeah...how are we going to set it up"

"Well there is a small forest that is connected to the highway"

"Yeah Market street goes under a highway...but the part there is weak... we always use it"

"Really?"

"Wanna check it out?"

"Yeah...since there is an alert of the horde, all of the soldiers are watching over the horde"

"Cool...cool we can check it out"

Toby and Bryce with his team brought dark camouflage to an empty house. They started to put on the outfit and got to the weak part of the fence. Bryce turns out to be right, there is no guard watching over their direction.

"We can us the trees as covers...just follow me okay?"

"Take the lead"

Niall pulled the fence up then the three slide under, the other two watched over in the inside then Niall watches over from behind the tree. Then they started to run as fast as they can in the middle of the night. After 37 minutes of running they got into the forest between Market street and Foy road, they stopped on the tree line and climbed a sturdy tree. Bryce kept a look out, Toby looked through his binoculars.

"Yachts, nice"

"Toby, we gotta go"

A part of the horde that broke away headed to where the two is. After getting down Toby and Bryce ran like hell.

'We....need....to...have cars' Tobias said so as they run.

They got under the fence then got home.

The 5 are heavily breathing and sweating as they ran immediately into the house.

"Okay.....OKay"

"You okay?"

"mhm...So we need cars, another one....a car so that we can have a drive by to the yacht building.... to throw the pipe....oh god"

"Sure, Lee can you get on it?"

"Yeah, here Bryce"

"Yeah?"

"Can you bring this to me within 10 hours?"

"Sure, yeah I'll start getting it, we'll talk when I give okay?"

"Yeah, let's discuss and...plan our escape I guess?"

The got out of the house turns out something is watching over them.

"What the hell are they doing?"

"No idea, keep an eye on em"

They started to create to plan out their escape.

"I can throw the pipe...Bryce can drive me... we steal on of the cars out there"

"Sure"

"What about the horde that is piling on the park?"

"Don't worry about it... they'll be attracted don't worry"

"Okay"

While they are planning their escape, Earl is planning their containment. It is the day that they have to start their realizing their plan.

"Good morning Tobias"

"Where am I?"

"Slaughter house"

Back in the house, everyone is panicking but they are trying not to show it to the public.

"The plan is a go, Lee you go with Bryce and plant that fucking bomb"

"Let's go"

Tobias is continuously being bombarded by punches, and he is not breaking. He continued to look down as he is being beaten to death. As they try to find ways to break him, after 10 minutes an explosion. It got the whole town into high alert as their gates have been destroyed. The dead from the Martinak State Park started to come out, all kinds has started. After 5 minutes another 2 explosions. The dead has now been warned and the runners has started to bolting towards Denton, and it is much denser than they thought.

"You, was that your people?"

Toby is unresponsive.

"Hey"

"Sir, we've got runner comin'"

"Light'em up"

"YESSIR"

"You're stayin' here"

There are innocent people in the town and are being fed their own kind. Promised to be saved by boats that would carry them to the capital of the country where they'll be safe, a Utopia.

"Bryce? How about Toby where he at?"

"We'll wait, we have no idea where he is right now"

"Don't worry Harry"

Within an hour, half of the town has already been engulfed in dead. Their survival seems bleaker than earlier.
