the squad and tryouts

inside the black bull's hideout, there is a room with two teens sleeping in there. the reason because of this is that Tess refuses to leave Cain alone after sleeping with him in their childhood. She also is a hugger in her sleep and doesn't want to let go of her heat warmer.

cain wakes up for what he considers a long sleep, but then realises that he is a sticky situation. if he were to wake up tess. one, he will be thrown of the building. two, she will use plants to hold him in here. there, break him mentally.

'she really gets grumpy when she doesn't;t gets her beauty sleep. ahh, I really wanted to explore this place.' Cain complains inside his head, but eventually gives up his futile battle and just enjoys the feeling of Tess near him.

after a while, tests start to wake up but then see the situation but she doesn't;t care. she even tightens her hold on him trying to get him to stay. Cai sighs and rubs her head and tells her that they need to wake up and get moving.\

Cain didn't like the idea of wearing a small cloak on his shoulder, but luckily the one that Yami brought in last night has thread magic. with that, she upgraded his coat to have boldened highlights and he put the logo as a small metal skull in the middle of his back. ( just think of dmc 5 Dante's red coat is all black, with black highlights, and the Skull in the middle of his back is the black bull symbol.

as Cain tries to get Tess out of bed she attempts to capture her pillow again./ this makes Cain say he will leave her here for more sleep and come get her later.

as he walked out of his room he saw that the whole interior had changed. some of the rooms have been covered around while some are the same. cain then decides to use his magic sense to figure out what was going on. he then senses an ominous source in the middle of the base.

'that must be the source of the base's change. if it is still here then Yami must know about it. One he doesn't care or two it won't affect us. knowing him off of what I saw yesterday is probably both.' Cain thinks to himself while also using magic sense to locate where the main hall is. when he reaches there he sees no one.

cain then thinks about cooking something for tests, and he looks around and finds some spice but no meet about it. this causes Cain to go out and look for something to eat. the animal that he chooses for breakfast is a boar. he then brings it back to base to cook something up, Tess.

After making something and bringing it to Tess she finally woke up and got out of bed. After a while of waiting in the main lobby, the others came out except for Gordon.

Finril kept trying to hit on Tess, which put a hole in my stomach. I then produced to get him to shut up by using my magic power on him. But before I could even do that someone grabbed my head and shook me.

"Ha, final didn't know you wanted to die."Yami said while looking at finril with a stupid look in his eyes"

"Oh-h course not, what are you talking about" finril studdered trying to figure out what he did wrong.

"Well you may not have sensed it, but thing kid might have done something to you. But hey if you have a death wish keep talking to his girlfriend." This got Finril to snap his head toward me and shut up.

I pretended not to care but I did. I look over and see Tess with a happy smile that almost looks relieved. I didn't understand what was going on in her head and didn't want to. I then proceeded to talk with the captain about something

" hey cap, when are you going to the magic knight tryouts," I said trying to probe for information so me and Tess can go.

" it's next week, why wanna go." Ok, that's weird. It's like he knew what direction I wanted the conversation to go.

" yes, me and Tess wanted to go to one but you put us in here without doing one and we're curious about how one goes," I say hoping he would say yes.

" fine I'll bring you brats, but you have to cook meals for the next month.

" deal" I replied happily. Tess thanks him for this opportunity. But then I realized how could he know that I cooked breakfast this morning. Well whatever ever I'll figure out how he does that. It will be fun doing that and messing with people.

——————————————————————————hey author here and I'm sorry about the delay. The next one should be coming out in the next hours or so. And the day after will have another one. I said I'll be posing two yesterday but something came up. Again I'm so sorry.

Plus this is a short chapter to get them moving and pique the interest of the magic captains in the next chapter. That one should be 2k words.
