grimoires and the promise

hey guys author here, just wanted to tell you guys that Cain will only have at the end of the story 12, or maybe 13 depending on how powerful he gets

Cain then looks at his grimoire in awe but then feels the connection with it and wow free he feels. Cain started to understand the difference between people with no grimoire and people with grimoires. people without can only use their mental strength and will to share the mana into their natural magic. when using a grimoire it has spells already programmed to where you only need to pour a certain amount of mana to make said spell go off. basically, the grimoire is used as a crutch for people instead of using magic.

'' hey Tess.'' Cain looks over towards the young girl, who was feeling the same things that Cain was feeling earlier.'' y-ya cain'' Tess said studdering because of the new overwhelming sense of energy that she has acquired. '' my magic, its sword magic.'' cain says calmly but if one were to look in his eyes the world see the excitement like of a child.

''s-sss-sword MAGIC!!!'' Tess exclaimed remembering the previous user of that magic to be an incredible mage. tess then started to review the events in her mind and how much of a monster Cain can truly be in the future.

'' well I got nature magic, which will let me manipulate all of nature that involve plants! she exclaimed all happy because she can finally use her magic correctly. while Tess was guessing over her overpowered magic. cain's grimoire started to glow a white light his paiges then started to flip around and a sword sheathed in a black case that had a yellow ribbon tied on it. Its hilt is a shimmering gold, while its hilt is a white bearing with a black diamond going up the middle. On the but of the blade there is a design of a dragon on it.

when Cain grabbed the sword a name instantly from his head.

"demon spliter,'' he muttered, and as if the sword could hear him a plus mana not strong but definitely warm in a certain way like a parent means their child. while this was going on Tess's grimoire was glowing and adding a lot more spells in her book because of the versatility she possesses.

''I think we just got a big upgrade, Tess!'' Cain exclaims toward a distracted elf. who then turned towards him with a look on her face like ' Are you serious right now'. she then ignored the boy swinging his sword in a rapid motion and looks at one of the tables with a gorgeous necklace that was completely emerald that matched beautifully with her eyes. she then went to put it on ignoring the magic surrounding it, but she put it on. she then immediately fell something move over her ears and when she can't figure what happened.

cain at that moment heard Tess's remarks as stupid stupid stupid but he looked at her to see her elfen ears turned into normal human ears. which truly didn't look as good as when she had her elf ears.

'' tests it's ok, you don't need to hide your face in public with that artifact on,'' Cain said truing to lighten the mood that Tess brought when she thought she lost her elfen pride in the shape of her ears.

''but I bet they don't look good as with my ears'' she muttered, trying not to cry.

'' tests you'll look good no matter what's different about you.'' Cain says looking Tess in the eyes. She responded by blushing heavily and muttering something about Cain being an idiot. she then turns to him with a serious and determined look in her eyes

''Cain will you take responsibility for what you said and for freeing me,'' she said looking towards to young boy in question.

'' yes I thought that was implied I'm the one that freed you so I thought it was my job'' Cain said in his confusion.

''no. I mean in the future as well,'' she said feeling a bit better about the situation and how dense he can be.

''yes, I promise to take care of you, my lady.'' Cain said looking directly at her. she then blushed a little bit thinking about how direct he can talk about important things like that. unkwon to cain he just make a life time deal with a she devil.

they then continued to explore the room and maned to find a storage ring that can hold most of the gold and artifacts.

When we finished gathering everything we could find a stair way appeared and through the dark endless stairs the spiraled in a circle for what seemed like forever. Light finally appeared to where we could escape to the surface. What I didn't notice was the curiosity coming from Tess mostly because it is her first time seeing the sunlight for what seem like forever.

" hey Tess" I said not really knowing what I was going to said to make Tess realizes she isn't alone anymore.

" ya Cain" she said on the verge to tearing up for everything she experienced over the few couple of days and the years spent sealed in this place.

" it's ok to cry. I'm not going to blame you" I said to bring some comfort to wards her.

This seemed to do the trick because she quickly ran towards me and started to bail her eyes out on my shirt and all I could to it mutter ' it's okay' over and over, while hugging her tightly so she knows I won't go away.

From this moment I knew our future had something in store. And I feel like it gonna be a huge annoyance.
