Hidden Agenda VIII

"All right, haa-," Shen Rou fell onto the floor, 'that's enough…' and pressed one of her hands against her forehead; she was filling dizzy. She didn't know how much time had passed but she was of two things: the first that more than just a couple of hours had passed and the second, she had just moved about one hundred and forty bodies.

'I will come back once… oh wait…' she was preparing to go out as aside from feeling dizzy, she couldn't just blindly trust the Holy Prince and had made sure of things but she was remaindered of a little something and she sprinted from the pathway at the back of the central room towards one that opened from one of the lateral sides of the room and was nearer to the pathway where she had entered.

As soon as she got into that pathway and the little golden flame she had with her lighted it, several shelves and pedestals entered her sight displaying various kind of treasures.

The treasures she was looking for were at the end of the path. She took a shabby looking bracelet made of thirteen silver beads.

Click- clank- click- She broke it and only took two of them. Then, from a transparent spherical crystal base and took five space rings: three golden coloured, one silver coloured and a brown coloured that seemed to be made of wood.

"Hmm…"

'Where was the Yang Golden Silk Thread? Ah! I think…' she turned and walked back a few metres were many jade boxes of different sizes were piled up.

Tad- click- she had to open and close seventeen boxes to finally come to one that had a shiny and fine golden thread.

She sat down after taking the golden thread and put the space rings and two silver beads on her lap. She took one of the beads and with began to surround it with the Yang Golden Silk Thread.

As she did so the silk thread began to lose its radiance looking as really old gold should look. When she was satisfied with the number of layers of the thread, she nodded and cut the thread with her golden flame before passing the now dark golden bead into the golden flame a few times.

She nodded again, giving the bead an approval and proceeded to do the same with the remaining silver bead.

After giving the nod to the last bead she took them in her hand with the five space rings and disappeared from her space.

The Fourth Prince's body opened his dark eyes right after, and with a slight motion of his hand, the things that Shen Rou took with her entered the bronze space ring of the Fourth Prince.

He didn't get up right away but massaged his head a little; it was throbbing.

Hearing the little movement, as usual, the voice of one of his maidservants called, "His Highness?"

"… Prepare my grooming," the Fourth Prince gave a delayed and low response.

"Aye." Nevertheless, it was enough for Wei Ge to hear.
