KIEL'S POINT OF VIEW
"Oh, come on, tell me why he had your number. That's unfair; I don't even have your number." Odette rolled her eyes. She went to Dalle.
"Well, it's not my fault you didn't ask for my number, and he does." Dale, do you want to come with Mommy and go to the mall?"
"Who cares about them? If I can get their idol and make him jealous. Oh, by the way." She came close and whispered in my ears.
"Is it true you've liked me since we were in high school?" Good thing Daniel was your classmate, right?" My eyes widen, and my cheeks burn. That jerk, how dare he tell it to Odette?
"I think we should leave now, Trisha. Let the lovers—I mean them—argue." Aria pushed Trisha out of the room.
"Who cares about the past? Tsk! Tell me, what did you guys do after you went out to eat? Huh?"
"Why would I tell you who you are for me to report everything I do?" I held her waist, looking into her eyes.
"Mommy Odette, Daddy Kiel, stop arguing. Let's just go to the mall." Dalle, pull our sleeves.
"Wait, Dalle, I'm trying to get the answer from your mommy." "So why does he have your number?"
"I told you he asked so I could give my number. If you want, you can read his message telling me how much I'm gorgeous; in fact, he even asked to court me. Oops." In my boiling hearing Daniel wants to court her. That jerk—I will kill him once I see him. He didn't even think this girl already belonged to someone else. And that someone is me. She slid her finger from my cheeks to my neck while looking into my eyes.
"I didn't know the great Kiel Calvin Lopez was possessive when it came to his property. For your information, I was not your property until we got married. Oh, I forgot the wedding is canceled, so I will never be your property." I can't take my eyes off how seductive she was when she winked at me. This girl should be locked up in my house so no one can dare get her from me.
"Guys, it's already five in the afternoon, and you're still arguing." "Let's go to Dalle in the cafe; we will eat before we leave."
"If you don't mind, get out of my way. I'll leave now." She bit my ear and smirked before she left me hanging in my place. I can't even say a word without getting nervous seeing her. I followed her to the elevator.
"Oh, I thought you were frozen there."
"My queen-."
"Stop calling me that; that's a creepy call. It's not appropriate for you to call me that. I more like how Daniel calls me 'My Queen." At least he's not a cheater like you." He calls her 'My Queen." Tsk, I need to think about how I can win her again. I don't want to see her with that guy.
"Tsk, that's not even more suitable for him."
"Why didn't you just disappear and go to your mistress?" As if I cared if you didn't show up. That's what you always do, right? You said you were busy with a project. But the truth is, it's a different project called 'Zafira'. If you want, we can talk about that project. So how's the project going on? I heard she got into an accident and had scars on her face. So why have you suddenly shown up in front of me because she is not pretty enough for you anymore? How sad for her, tsk!"
I lean her against the elevator wall and hold her chin.
"One more word from your mouth, and I'll give you a kiss that you won't forget. And the security in the security rooms can see how much I will make you drive crazy moaning, my queen." She rolled her eyes and crossed her hands without saying a word. So that means she doesn't want my kiss. Fuck!
I pull her closer to mine and kiss her lips. I can see how her eyes are wide open in shock.
I bite her lower lips, which makes her open her mouth. I immediately insert my tongue and explore her mouth. I was sipping and playing tounge-to-tounge when suddenly the elevator opened. Fortunately, no one sees us. I waved at the security camera. But Odette held my ear and pulled it.
"Ouch! Let go of my ear, my queen." She let go of my ear, but her eyes burned while looking at me.
"Why did you do that?" She looked to the other side and gulped.
"Why?" "Is there any problem kissing my fiance?"
"Yes, there is. I'm no longer your fiance; don't you remember when I canceled the wedding? Do you think after you do that, it's easy to forget? We're not even married, but you cheated on me. I didn't ask for your faithfulness. But please, if you do this again, let me know in advance so I can prepare myself and forget everything you did." Her tears falling, I wipe them and kiss her forehead.
"Sorry if I didn't think about your feelings." I won't promise, but please let me show you that I change. Even though it will last until we get ashes, I will show it to you for your forgiveness. I love you, Odette, and I'm sorry if it was too late to realize it." I was about to kiss her when I got frozen, seeing someone standing in front of Trisha.
"Kent?"
"Huh? Who's Kent?" She turned her head and looked in the direction I was looking. I went through Trisha's director to see clearly if it was my brother.
"Kent?" He turned, looked at me, and grinned.
"Hi brother, nice to see you. Did you miss me?" He waved at me with a grin still on his lips. He sat and leveled in Dalle. Dalle hides behind my back.
"Daddy Kiel, who's the guy?"
"Daddy? How did my son become your son, brother?" Dalle just hugged my legs.
"He just chose me to be his father." that his real father, who abandoned his wife and son,
"Abandoned, what a big word!" Just like how I remember how dad abandoned his son and forgot he still had another son just because of his damn company. Thank you for reminding me of the word, "brother."
"He didn't abandon you. You just don't choose to follow him, right? You even choose to leave the house. Yet, we thought you chose your girl to be with. But something different you got. You just chose to leave your girlfriend, who is pregnant. How come you make those decisions without thinking properly about what will happen to them? You don't deserve to be his father."
"So you do? You deserve to be his father. Just to remind you, I was his father. From my genes and my sperm. Nothing came from you."
"Just your sperm, Kent." Trisha suddenly spoke up, looking into Kent's eyes.
"You weren't even there when I was in the middle of my labor with him."
"You know why I left; we even talk about this, right?"
"Yeah, I wait, even when you message me that you're coming home when you hear I'm about to give birth to Dalle. You even promised, but you broke it. So tell me how I can forgive you." I was carrying Dalle and about to leave the building when he spoke.
"Dalle was my son, and you can't change that no matter what you do."
"You may be his father, but he knows who is his daddy." Dalle hugged me, seeing how innocent he was in everything that was happening right now. But I knew when the right time came, Trisha would explain everything to him.
"Daddy, is he my father? Why did he keep telling me I was his son?" Dalle, look at me and Trisha. Odette taps Dalle's shoulder.
"I think Daddy Kiel was not in the right position for you to ask him that." "Your mom is the only one who can tell you everything, but at the right time, okay?"
"But I'm already 3 and my birthday is next week. So I'm a big boy now. Mom, tell me, please." He pouted his lips, looking at his mom, while Trisha held her tears in front of his son.
"Later, okay, when we get home."
"We can drop you off at your house, Trisha, if you want. I know you're still processing what happened today. Just to make sure you both are safe." I said that and tapped her shoulder.
"No need, sir; I can handle everything."
"Trisha, don't reject Kiel's offer. Even I want to know you both get home safe. So we will drop you off."
"Thank you for the offer, Odette and Sir Kiel."
"Why, sir Kiel, just Kiel since this little boy was my nephew?" Look, we just look the same, right, Odette?" I turn to Odette and show her our faces from different angles.
"Hahahaha, I know, so my car or your car?"
"My car, if you want, I can drive you home and fetch you tomorrow in your condo."
"No need; I'll bring my car with me." She showed her keys and went to her car. I open the back seat and let Trisha get in first, then I put Dalle beside her. I went in and started driving to their house.
I was looking in the rearview mirror as Trisha was brushing Dalle's hair.
"You can cry, you know that. Holding back the tears doesn't make you brave. You will just be brave if you can cry in front of anyone. Think I was not here because you don't know me."
"I can't; I don't want my son to see me crying. I want to be brave for him." A small finger wiped her tears.
"Mommy, you can cry. I love you." That burst Trisha's tears. I can feel how she felt when she heard Dalle telling her how much he loved his mom.
As we arrived at their house, I opened the door for them and saw Odette's car coming.
"Thank you for dropping us off."
"No problem; I will leave once you get in. To make sure you'll both be fine." She bows, carries Dalle, and gets into their house. I look at Odette; she was about to get in her car. I closed her door again.
"I think we should talk." She raised an eyebrow at me.
"For what?"
"About earlier, but not here." I went into my car and honked at her. She followed me from Trisha's house to a park. I saw this when I dropped them off yesterday. I stepped out of my car and shut the door.
"You know what? We should stop talking about the past." She said this while shutting her door.
"I know I hurt you, so I want to...
"No matter what you say, I don't want to hear it out. Kiel, the only thing I want right now is for you to leave me. And tell them you chose to cancel the wedding too. In the first place, this was part of our plan. Pretend we're dating, but in the end, we will call the wedding off. What changed your mind now, huh? Is it obvious I'm giving you a favor for you and Zafira so you guys can happily do whatever you want?"
"But did you ask me if I wanted that now? What if I tell you I don't want to cancel the wedding because I want to be with you? Not with Zafira or any other girl. I may have realized it when I saw how you cried that day, or maybe when I saw you with Daniel. But that's not important; I chose you, and I love you. No matter what happens, I will fight for you. Are you going to give it a shot?" I kneel in front of her while looking into her eyes.
"Who are you again?"
"Kiel Calvin Lopez, the multimedia actor, why?"
"Actor, do you think I can believe you now?" What if you're just acting like you always do in any of your projects? Sorry, but I'm not interested in your acting, and I'm not part of your project." I get up and hug her from behind.
"I'm not doing any acting; I'm serious; you're not a project to be acted off." If you are my project, you'll be the special one." I turned her around and held her cheeks.
"Just like what I told you earlier, I'll just prove to you what I say instead of promising. That's the only assurance I can give to you." I brought my face closer to her, looking into her bright eyes. In the middle of the night, seeing how bright the moon was. I kiss her deeply on her lips. I gently held her head to deepen our kiss.
"I love you, my queen." And that's the assurance I can give her.
"Tsk!" She rolled her eyes and slapped my arm. I hugged her, seeing her cheeks blush.
"So you're just waiting for me to say I love you."
"Can you stop saying that word?" She looked to her left while pouting her lips. I whisper in her ear.
"My queen, I love you." I look for her lips and kiss them.
"Stop that, Kiel."
"No, I won't until you say you're just waiting for me to say I love you to you."
"Fine, I was waiting for you to say those words."
"What are those words again?" I teased her more, and she let go of my hug and walked out. I ran, following her.
"Hey, my queen I was just joking. Don't get mad at me, please."
"Tsk!" I carry her like a bag of rice when I catch her.
"Hey, put me down, Kiel!" She's punching my back, her fist like metal.
"Fine, I'll put you down." I opened her car door and put her in the driver's seat. I lean my hands against her car.
"Drive safely, my queen; I'll go home later, don't worry." "I just need to see Ivan."
"Why don't you just call him?"
"Something personal was just said in the call." "Don't worry, I'll be fast." I kissed her forehead and shut the door for her. I waved at her, seeing her car go far before I went on to my car.
On my way to Ivan's house, I saw Sloan walking along the pathway. I thought her condo was near the company; why was she there?
I slowly followed her out of the subdivision. My phone suddenly rang.
"Hey, where are you?"
"I'm on my way." I turned my car and went to his house.
"Ivan!" I open his door and see him coming from the kitchen.
"Ivan!" That voice made me turn.
