One thing was certain that Valeria was hiding plenty of things. After the coffee they headed home while Stella took a cab back home. It was the moment when in the vehicle Suzy inquired. "I got the gist that you didn't want Stella to know about the boss being a tycoon. But why?" Valeria smiled at her while tilting her head, glancing out of the window; sunlight made her facial features highlighted.
"Have patience, Suzy." Valeria closed her eyes and savoured the sun rays falling over her face. She snapped open her hazel eyes and looked at Suzy with a grin. "Sometimes we should keep things hidden for a while. In order to do an effective blast, containing small sparks matter a lot." Suzy understood nothing but listening to her confident tone she knew something would happen tonight.
Nonetheless, the driver dropped Suzy at the corp and took Valeria home. "You look amazing." Miss Agnes walked in with some juice and snacks for her. The remarks from her made Valeria happy regarding her makeup. "Your fashion sense is worth praising. Good luck with the event. Enjoy well." Miss Agnes placed the glass over the table, walking out as she muddled over the night's incident.
After a while Markos walked in with a paper bag, wearing a tuxedo which highlighted his handsome features. "Gosh! If I hadn't had you under my roof today, then certainly I'd have asked you out again." Valeria chuckled softly and leaned against the dressing table over one hand. Raising her eyebrow, shaking her head she tried to hide the blush. She bought a dirty dark green shaded waterfall gown on the way back home.
"Well, you can try your flirting skills again." She turned towards the mirror to darken her brown matte lipstick. "Or are you afraid they might be rusty now, uh?" Markos headed towards her, placing the bag over the table. Sneakily touching her tummy, pulling her closer within a jerk. Valeria glanced at their reflection only to see Markos smirking as he leaned in. As soon as his nose tip grazed over the base of his neck, Valeria closed her eyes with a gasp escaping her lips.
Tracing from neck towards the shoulder edge, Valeria whimpered with her trembling silhouette. Apparently pressure over her tummy, turning her around Valeria opened her eyes. "What do you think now?" Reaching for Valeria's hair lock, wrapping it around his finger Markos toyed. "About what?" Valeria looked into his silvery orbs while whispering as her heart became out of control with the ringing bells.
Markos smiled gently, moving his hand over the empty ear. Approaching the handbag Markos pulled out a box and picked up an earring. Slipping his hand again he pulled her closer to chest, Valeria couldn't lift her eyes off his handsome face. Slipping the diamond earring in her ear, Markos gave her a lopsided grin with a softened expression. "About how you're smitten by me."
Valeria couldn't sense when Markos put both earrings, she pouted and playfully smacked over his chest. "You–!" She turned around to avoid him but Markos made her halt on the spot. Valeria glanced in the mirror only to be amazed by the diamond jewellery. Until Markos brought up the necklace with emerald to her neck. Valeria touched it with her eyes sparkling the radiance of the gemstone.
"It is breathtaking, Markos." It wasn't like she hadn't seen luxury and wealth but Valeria recognised the recently auctioned necklace. "Where did you get these earrings from? Wasn't this neck piece the only one auctioned?" She inquired in amazement while turning towards him. Markos could see her passionate smile and low key it made him happy. He could finally do something for her, a present she deserved. Nothing less than the exclusive stuff.
"Well, people owe a few favours to your man." Markos shrugged off the whole matter that he put his men under the task to get him the rarest emerald. The black market was turned upside down on his demand until he found the matching gemstones. Later on, the jeweller was put under pressure to craft the diamond earrings with the emerald embedded. "It was the right time to pull those strings." He smiled at her while smacking his lips.
Valeria knew he could afford such luxury now easily. However, it surprised her for the most obvious reason. "But why would you do that for me? Don't you still despise me?" Markos could see her eyes displaying suspicion. As usual he didn't want to admit to having feelings for her. Valeria anticipated a loving response from him assuming that maybe this time he would pour his heart out.
"I do." Markos grinned and reached for her hairlock, curling it around his finger he settled it over her cheek. "But I also don't want others to mistake that I haven't been keeping you well." Valeria couldn't help but scoff inwardly at his antics. "Of course, I have to save my face too tonight. This was the best way to flex. Ain't it? Now hurry up, I am waiting for you downstairs." He left the room hurriedly while raking through his hair.
Valeria shook her head knowing that he wouldn't admit to his emotions. "You want to save your face or my respect as the lost heiress?" Looking at her reflection while leaning over, Valeria stared at herself with teary eyes. "You still don't want to admit having feelings and care towards me." A tear escaped down her cheek which she wiped off hurriedly. "Goodness, what should I even do to win your heart?" Sniffing at her reflection she made her way downstairs.
They drove towards the venue silently, Markos handed over the car to the valet. They both walked inside holding hands like a duo, standing in the entrance looking around. "What the heck?" The words escaped from her lips in a stunned whisper. Valeria noticed that the waiters were wearing identical clothing as Markos. She immediately glanced at him in utter fright, panic and concern. Whereas, her eyebrows furrowed upon seeing him calm as if he had planned it.
