Special Treatment

Jason had ordered Emily to cancel the meeting he was earlier heading to. Emily was confused and wanted to say something but decided it was better to keep her mouth shut. She had already known about his temper, and she was wise enough to know that now was not the correct time to test the waters.

When Mia returned from delivering the message to the project head of cancelling the meeting, she returned along with the confused project head and project manager who were having some doubts in their minds for the sudden cancellation of the meeting, as this was not just some random projects that needed the final review before continuing, but a rather important project that had to be developed directly under the CEO before any step. Apparently, this project was important for Jason and the sudden meeting cancellation was beyond anyone's understanding.

"Sir, the project manager and project head are here to meet you."

"Why are they here? Didn't I asked them to cancel the meeting and send me the documents for review?"

"Sir, they are asking to meet you because they are confused to as why so suddenly, such an important meeting was cancelled."

Jason stood up from the couch and headed towards his cabin followed by Mia.

"Bring them inside, let's clear their doubts first."

Mia could feel that both the project head and project manager both were soon going to be slaughtered alive just by the looks their boss was giving. It was good that this wasn't directed her or Emily. Don't take her wrong, it's not that she was mean to not feel any sympathy towards these two but she remembered that these two are quite arrogant lads and just now too when she went there to inform them about the meeting cancellation, they behaved very rudely with her, like she owed anything to them and she just made a joke.

'HUH! They deserve it, meanies!"

Mia scoffed and went ahead to call them with a big smile on her face. Seeing her smiling so much Emily knew something mischievous is going on in her mind.

"Please gentlemen, Mr Jason is calling for you,"

The extra sweet tone of her voice surely made her suspicions to be confirmed. Emily knew the two persons whom she was referring to as 'gentlemen' were surely going to have a pleasant time with the CEO. She smiled thinking about the future and went along with what was going on.

The project manager and project head went inside with a quite prideful look on their faces. Mia closed the door behind them while both were trying to control their laugh. Mia reached her desk quietly, and both of them burst into laughs as soon as they saw each other.

Soon, both the head and the manager came out of the office with a dejected look on their faces. They looked like they will cry if anyone touched them. Mia went near them quietly, and asked in a whispered tone,

"Did Mr Williams say anything to you sirs? Why are you both looking so sad though, I thought I heard someone saying he gives you both a special treatment and likes you two very much?"

She had an expression of jealousy and curiousness, that too so with such sincerity that none of them got a hint of what fireworks were going on in her mind. The project head shook his head and said with a smile,

"No, Miss Mia, Mr Williams treats everyone equally and not differently. We should learn from him how to work diligently and have a successful career. He is our company's role model."

"Yes, you are right sir, we should definitely work just like our boss and take our work seriously. He is really our role model in real life, our IDEAL."

Both the Head and manager looked at each other, then nodded their heads and went ahead with a smiling face. Mia was shocked looking at them. While on the side, Emily was shocked too. They both looked at each other and burst out laughing. Mia was in tears remembering the expressions on both of their faces.

"Did you just saw how both of their faces were looking."

"Yeah! And specially the project head, he was looking so humiliated. The look on the managers face was priceless."

"God! I should have clicked a photograph of their faces, so that whenever I am sad, I would look at it and it would instantly brighten my mood"

"Enough Mia. Be careful with your current behavior, I am afraid next time it would be you in place of them, and I promise, I will surely take a picture then."

Emily deadpanned with a smile on her face, which instantly made Mia shiver. No, she would never want to get a special treatment from her boss ever.

"No! God! Never ever I would want to get this special treatment from Mr Williams, not even the type of which Liliana is getting."

This made Emily think too. She was confused as to who Liliana is really, that she is getting such a treatment from Jason. She must be someone of great importance for him that he even cancelled the meeting which was part of the most important project that the whole project department is focusing on.

It was none other than the dream project of Old Mr William, the grandfather of Jason Blake Williams and chairman of Williams Group of Industries, the one who was feared by all, not more than Jason though but was still enough for others not to defy him, whether in the industry or the other sectors of the country, whether be it government, rival companies or other industries.

And as far as she knew, Jason has never denied any order or wish of the elder. She was afraid that if this goes out, Liliana can be in deep trouble because though the Chairman never interferes with company matters but he always has his eyes on each and every move of the officials. And such a big matter won't slip from his eyes.
