CHAPTER 41: taking Eric away
“Little Julia?” a voice called from behind, and it seemed like she remembered this voice.
As she turned her back, she was shocked to see old Mr. Robson. She hugged Eric tightly and his him in her bosom, scared that Mr. Robson might discover the child.
“Little Julia, what are you doing here??” asked Mr. Robson. “It has been a long time ever since I saw you. Do you live in this neighborhood?”
“Father-in-law… Um… I mean Mr. Robson…” murmured Julia as she hid Eric. “What a coincidence. Finally, we really meet.”
“It is so sweet to still call me father-in-law, Julia. You really look as adorable and pretty as ever, I have really missed you.”
“Thank you, Mr. Robson. I have to excuse myself now.”
“Why are you in a rush, Julia? Do you hate me this much? I know things got worse with Victor, but you can still act friendly with the old man…”
“Sure, let us meet one day, Mr. Robson. Excuse me.”
“Yes. Then, I will see you soon…”
