She is leaving

Bobby's pov

I stared at her in awe, eventually,I pressed one of the car buttons and the glass wind down on it's own.

"What's it?" I grumbled in a grumpy tone, staring at her blankly, she hesitated for some seconds without saying  a word, which earned her  a suspicious look from me.Then something hit me all of a sudden, Melissa!! My head screamed.

"Where is Melissa?" I questioned, and quickly unlocked the door without waiting for her answer, I closed the door gently before facing Melanie's dazed face.

"I thought you left, if only I we don't come together, we would have left you behind"  she turned and started walking away, I quickly increased my pace and grabbed her abruptly by her wrist , that's not the answer am dying to hear, and it's very obvious that she eluded my question intentionally, I wonder if everything is right with Melissa.

"She is fine, is that not what you want to know?" She tried jerking off her hand from mine, but I made sure I grip it tightly.

"Just tell me where she is?" I restrained myself from shouting at her, but she just glanced at me in surprise without saying a word. I find it hard to believe I am doing this, I felt like a different person entirely, No! This is not who I am, I just played into her trap.

She darted her eyes back to me, very intense this time, chill tingling along my spine.

"Why the serious look?" I stuttered, releasing her hand in surprise, for some reason I became scared but I made it oblivious.

"If you really care for her, you should show it instead of hiding in the darkness, salivating over some dark reasons that can't let the two of you be together. Moreover, you are just a dick that trying to protect his image! Yes, she might be a maid to you but she is also a human like you, and you know what?  she also deserves good things, even the best of it all". She concluded, breathing heavily. I open my mouth to say something, but I find it hard to even say a word. I don't know what gave birth to all this, I only ask her, why is she taking this very seriously as if she had been holding up to spat some prattle talk to my face. I inhaled slowly, trying to calm down my rage. So, she really thinks I have something because i said so? I fucking helped his father, which I do because of her, so, why all this rage from her friend?

" Wait, I don't get you, why all this?" I managed to say, still perplexed at her reaction.

"Do you know what's about to happen to her?"

"I don't know," I conceded, "but I would like to know," I added. I take a few steps backward to the car, resting my back on it. She also moved closer.

"She is about to lose her Dad" she pointed out, blankly. For some seconds I stayed mute, trying to digest what I just heard. Her Dad? I felt my eyes brow pulling together in mystification, what I just heard sent another wave of torture through me.

"Losing her dad?" I repeated, looking at her in confusion. She was practically crying, silently not wanting me to know.

"So, where is she?" I asked her, that's the only question I can think of right now, even tho I don't have a caring parent, I would be able to overcome the pain of losing one of them easily. Not to talk of someone that was bound with her parent.

"She was sleeping in the car...."

"You can't just leave her all alone" I interrupted, I stood upright, moving away from the car and walked towards Melanie, whose face is now buried in her palm.

"Draven is with her" She corrected, I stopped on my track on hearing that someone is with her, I felt a tinge of happiness about Draven been with her for the first time since my arrival. If I can't do it, and someone is willing to sacrifice his precious time for her, I believe that's not something to be angry about.

"What about her mother, is she fine?" I queried, walking closer to her, I pulled her body gently to my side, patting her back gently.

"She doesn't look fine" she whimpered, she raised up her head to face me, rubbing her damp hand on her cropped top.

"I know you care for her, and am very sorry about how I behaved earlier"

She paused, it looks like she was expecting me to say something, but I kept mute, my eyes engrossed into her eyes. "Please, if you really care for her, at least a bit. This is the time she need you" she finished. "Hummn" I sighed, clearing my throat.

"I don't think I will be able to do that, I have done nothing Good but cruel things to her since my arrival. And Draven has been good to her even tho, is not that long since they met, I would have been glad to do so.  But, I don't think she is going to take the risk of having me by her side" I muttered silently, while looking at the tiled floor, am sure my face looked blanched right now. It's been long since I last  got emotional like this.

" That's true, but I don't know why I keep having this good feeling about you, you are not that bad as you think, besides, you are the only one that I can only trust when it comes to her, at least for the remaining  time she is going to spend in the mansion"

"Are they leaving?" I asked suspiciously.

"I don't know, but I don't think you will stay either if you are in her position. They have been serving your family for so long, and they are about to lose their Precious Husband and Father" I don't know that I am crying silently, not until the salty tear touched my lips. I dropped onto the cold floor.

"She is leaving, how can this happen when I am here?"
