Chapter 9

"Mia I brought you chocolates," Kyle spoke as soon as Mia sat down. Mia took out one from the box then placed the rest of them in her bag then slept on top of the desk.

"What's wrong with her she seems to be in a bad mood today," Kyle whispered to Addison.

"She didn't sleep well last night so she gets really moody when she's sleepy and tired," Addison explained.

"Oooh," Kyle replied as he went back to copying his homework.

"Ooooh also don't talk to her, don't wake her up she might beat you up." Addison turned back after thinking.

"Okay." Kyle shivered abit thinking of Mia beating him up. He smiled wondering what Mia would look like while fighting thinking for a while he shook his head and then went back to coping with his homework.

Addison took out the notebook that Mia had given her on the way and then keenly looked at it. Everything was written in an orderly manner and step by step she turned to the sleepy Mia and then smiled happily.

"What are you looking at?" Gianna asked leaning forward towards the notebook.

"Woah it's simplified help me with it after you're done... Looking at the book makes me think that am capable of scoring better than the class ones."

"Hahahaa....wake up earth to Gianna." Ashley mocked.

Mia slept for the rest of the day the teachers didn't bother to wake her up. Little Lily was extremely satisfied with class five as ever since Mia joined Kyle no longer caused trouble and they were more obedient she was also happy as Mia was quiet she would complete her homework and pay attention in class which was more than what she expected so today she decided to let her sleep. By the time they were leaving to go back home, she had enough sleep she looked abit cheerful and relaxed she carried her back on her right side of the shoulder and then walked towards the gate eating the chocolates that Kyle had brought for her.

"Where did you get those?" Mason asked when he spotted her. Mia turned and then looked at Kyle.

Mason glared at Kyle then spoke..." Don't take things from strangers if you want I'll buy you better ones." He snatched the box of chocolates away and then gave Kyle back. Mia stared at the childish Mason Armani but didn't say anything she let him do whatever he wanted and then got into the car.

"I wanted to ask if you can move in with me?" Mason asked on the way which shocked everyone in the car. The one person who can make the arrogant and aloof Mason Armani humble himself was Mia Johns. Mia thought for a while then nodded in return after all she had nothing to lose as Mason had moved next to them so she could still take care of Addison and her grandmother.

Mason was so happy but he still managed to sit with a straight and expressionless face the day before, he had called his housekeeper and instructed her to prepare the guest room based on Mia's outfit he had figured out that she didn't like bright colors. So her room was painted using dark colors Mason also ordered Mia's clothes and everything that she might need what remained was Mia's feedback.

After a few minutes, they arrived they walked towards the elevator silently Mia wasn't much of a talker so she would play games from time to time or sleep Mason had noticed how her slender hands moved swiftly and fast as she played so the extra room he turned into a game room.

"I'll go check on grandma first." She spoke nonchalantly when the elevator stopped.

"Come get the flower after your done," Mason spoke. Mia nodded then walked towards the house with Addison following behind.

"Mia's grandma's health doesn't look too good she won't say it but she's getting pale as time goes by we don't have much time," Addison spoke as they walked in.

"Mmmmh I know."

"Have you found the ingredient you were looking for?"

"Yes... I'll go to the lab tomorrow."

"Okay."

Mia walked into her grandmother's room and then took her pulse...It was a bit erratic. She sighed silently and then looked at her grandmother who was sleeping soundly but deep down she knew she was indeed troubled due to her pulse. She had prepared a calming medicine that helped her sleep but it wasn't strong enough so it was eventually useless she stood up and then walked out towards Mason's apartment.

"Come in..." Mason spoke as he opened the door. He walked her in and then went to his study to retrieve the flower.

"It's a hundred-year-old Chyrsanthemum flower.... will it be enough?" He said handing her the purple-looking plant.

"Yeah." Jia smelt it then nodded in return.

"What will you do next?"

"I'll go to the lab tomorrow to start preparing."

"I'll drive you there." Jia nodded in reply.

"What do you want to eat I'll cook."

"Porridge." She replied.

"Okay wait for me here."

Mason walked to the kitchen and then began cooking after a few minutes, he walked back with a bowl of porridge and then placed it on the dining table.

"It's good," Mia replied after a sip.
