47. The warning
"And what about Ariana and Aaron?" He asked and it definitely stopped her in her tracks. She immediately turned around to meet his eyes.
"What about them?" She asked with a frown.
"With whom will they stay?"
Arabella felt a pang in her chest as Damien mentioned their children and asked that question. Ariana and Aaron were their world, their twin children who had brought a brief moment of unity in their tumultuous relationship. She had been so caught up in her frustration and determination to keep her distance from Damien that she hadn't thought about how her decisions might affect their innocent children.
As they stood there, a heavy silence hung in the air. Arabella's anger had subsided a bit, replaced by a mix of conflicting emotions. She remembers a little of the good times they had shared before everything fell apart.
