- What are the three claims that makes us lie; deceive ourselves and make God out to be a liar?

1. a. If we say, "We have fellowship with Him," yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing[c] the truth

b. If we say, "We have no sin," we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

c.  If we say, "We don't have any sin," we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

- In 2:1, it say that John wrote this so that we will not sin. But if we/anybody does sin, Who do we have and what shall we do?

2. Satan and Eternal Damnation

* Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers

- John added another claim that makes us a liar, what is that claim?

1. If we say, "We have fellowship with Him," yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing[c] the truth.

- Explain in your own words verses 2:9-11.

2. Anyone who loves his brother or sister remains in the light.  But anyone who doesn't love his brother or sister remains in the darkness.  Because his anger has blinded him.

What did you learn today?

3. I learned from our lessons today: Christ died for our sins.  This is revealed to us.  We need to confess to God our sins so we would be cleansed by Him.  If we are not faithful to him, the Kingdom of God doesn't belong to us.
