A Boy who can copy power

"Now that's out of the way, your training will start from tomorrow, so all of you go and take rest," Nana said. Hearing her, all three went to their respective rooms.

The day passed, and the next day they reached their respective teachers. Upon seeing Ema, Riya spoke, "Wow, so I got a chance to teach someone from the Scarlet family. I hope you will follow my instructions and learn everything I can teach you." Excitedly, Ema spoke, "Sure, teacher. Oh, please don't call me teacher; it sounds like I am old. Just call me Riya," Riya said cheerfully.

"So, Ray, I am your instructor, and I will make you strong just like me," David spoke pridefully. Hearing him, Ray spoke in a frightened tone, "Thank you for taking care of me, sir. That's the spirit, boy. Keep that spirit and follow my instructions, and you will become a good explorer," David said.

"So, your name is Alex. I am Nana, and I will teach you how to become a good explorer," Nana said. Hearing her, Alex spoke, "I will be in your care from now on. Help me on my journey to become the best explorer. Oh, you still have that confidence. It was very brave of you to lie to me about not having powers," Nana said. Hearing her, Alex spoke, "I didn't lie. I don't know what the 'power' you spoke of is. Seems like you really don't know what power is. So, how much do you know about our world?" Nana asked, interested in how much he knew about the world they live in.

"What I know is that we live on a continent called Atlantic. It's surrounded by a barrier which prevents monsters from outside to get inside the continent, that's all. And yeah, explorers are the people that go outside the continent to find about that world. Now, that's all," Alex explained. Hearing him, Nana thought, "This child knows nothing about our world or even about the powers. Seems like I have to teach him all that. Oh, what a pain. will tell you just once, so listen to me very carefully,"

saying that, she started explaining, "Nobody knows what lies out there. Up until recently, we found a place, but we don't know anything about it. We have sent seven groups, but not one of them has returned. So, if you become part of the team this year, you can also explore the world outside." Hearing her, Alex's eyes glittered as he asked, "How can I be part of that team?" Listening to Alex's question, Nana spoke, "If you follow every order I give you, you might become part of that team. But we can't go outside with only three people."

Listening to Alex, Nana spoke, "You fool, do you think we only have you three? At the end of the year, there will be a competition; people from other towns will also participate in that competition, and those who seem worthy will become part of that team. I see. I thought only three of us were here," Alex spoke. "Now enough with this; let's get your training started," looking at other students as they were training with their teachers.

"Now I understand that you didn't want to tell about your power before, but now I am your teacher, so I need to know what you can do so I can help you develop your powers," Nana said. Alex spoke, "Okay, seems like my act didn't fool you. I guess I have to tell you about it. I don't know too much about it myself, but what I know is whenever I see someone use their power, a feeling pops inside my mind that I can do it as well. And then when I start thinking about it, I can use it as well." 

Hearing Alex, Nana froze; in her life, she had never heard about this or any other power similar to this. After some time thinking, she spoke, "So, that means you can use all three types of powers as you can copy other powers? This is simply monstrous. What even are you?" She questioned. Hearing her questions, Alex spoke, "Nothing but a simple boy who can use any power he wants." Listening, Alex spoke so calmly; Nana simply couldn't believe it. She thought, "If this gets out, the entire continent will be in an uproar. You didn't tell anyone about this, did you?" Nana asked concerned.
