The Fall of The North and The Treacherous Tyrant

After eavesdropping on their conversation , whilst resting for the time being . The topic of their conversation became more off topic. From what happened to them early on to what their goals are in life. They were being really open with their conversation , not something one might do with strangers they've just met.

However thanks to that I managed to gather quite a few information regarding their objectives , their current state and the current situation of the war. These so called monsters attacked from the farthest plains of The North Western part of China. They concentrated their forces towards the lands belonging to The Northern Guardian .

Flying Cavalry General Ma Teng's forces, tried their best to fend off the enemy's advances by himself for weeks before they managed to annihilate his entire northern Cavalry force of more than 6000 veteran elite cavalry.

Despite fierce resistance the enemy showed no fear , and no intention of retreating . General Ma Teng is famous for his cavalry tactics he learned over the past 20 years from repelling the Xiongnu Barbarians of the north. Most noticeable of all was the Hit and Run tactics.

Despite the speed and precision of his attacks , the enemy will not relent. He moved his forces back and forth over and over again till there was no more room to retreat. The enemy kept moving forwards without rest .

After his last line of defense was breached he took almost all of his remaining cavalry force and charged towards the enemy. Leading to a total annihilation of his forces. The casualties suffered by the enemy was meager at best whilst his entire force suffered a crushing defeat at most he had only bought a little bit of time for the rest of the warlords to gather to form a resistance against them.

Ma Teng's son and heir Ma Chao took 300 wounded cavalrymen and 2000 civilians to evacuate before the final battle. He and several of Ma Teng's loyal officer managed to evacuate most of their civilians before fleeing the north.

These monsters kept routing several armies sent to stop them . Their total combined forces number almost 20000 strong. The minor lords of the north attempted to attack them from several directions. Even resorted to hiring black mountain bandits to bolster their ranks.

They were all wiped out without a trace.

Afterwards the enemy's marched Eastwards towards the mountains dividing the North in half. Before proceeding to go South towards the Capital of the Han Dynasty , Luo Yang . With one of the war fronts closed they can focus on the Capital . Western Lords didn't even put up a fight before fleeing their lands , leaving their people to die.

The other Warlords banded together as many troops as they can to resist the enemy . Cao Cao thought he had time to make a defensive lien across the north with Xu Chang as its center. With Luo Yang standing in the enemy's way it would buy at least a few weeks of precious little time. Thus he recalled all of his forces to Xu Chang City under the guise of the Award Ceremony so to not spread chaos amongst them selves. Yet none could have prepared for what's to come.

The Warlord whose tasked with defending Luo Yang City the Capital and the Emperor . Joined the enemy's ranks. The treacherous Tyrant has no honor nor allegiance to the Emperor , all he wanted was to sate his own ambitions .

He opened the gate to the enemy and surrendered to them. He and his forces joined the enemy's ranks. The Warlord wanted to show his new superiors with a generous gift , by giving them the emperors head . The Emperor barely managed to flee the Capital before he was captured. He made it to safety under the protection of the former royal guards.

The Betrayer was none other than the Mad Tyrant Dong Zhuo himself. History has taken a turn for the worst . He who was meant to die in the hands of his foster son Lu Bu , managed to retain his life and now he has betrayed China.

Thus with Dong Zhuo leading the vanguard with his followers the enemy managed to blitz through the mountain pass and the main Pass thus arriving at Xu Chang City far ahead of the predicted time .

" Word on the street is that Cao Cao had fallen to the enemy's siege , but no one knows the truth since they never saw the corpse."

Ae Ri

" My guess is that Cao Cao flee before hand to escape the enemy's leaving his vassals to fight the enemy off ."

Mo Xiao Qi

" I think , he was ambushed by the enemy but managed to escape with his loyal retainers but at the cost of his entire garrison at Xu Chang ."

Qiu Jin Wei

" My guess is , Cao Cao managed to flee the city with his top generals thanks to certain warriors holding the enemy back. "

Xi an

" Jin , your finally awake ."

Ae Ri

" Thank goodness you awake Sir , we were worried sick ! "

Mo Xiao Qi

" Brother Jin , I'm glad you finally opened your eyes ! "

Qiu Jin Wei

" Thanks for helping me recover everyone ."

" Jin What happened to you ? "

" We were supposed to meet in the City but somehow you managed to get into a whole lot of trouble again ! "

I proceeded in informing them of the events that took place from when I saved Xiao Qi up to when I fought against those monsters.

" So you not only saved Miss Mo from assassins , but also destroyed a huge criminal organization , saved Lord Cao Cao from certain death and fought against hundreds of enemy's before we found you !"

" How does that makes sense ?"

" I have no idea you went through so much right after we parted ways ."

" If I had known I would've sent some people to help you ."

" Brother Jin wouldn't have gotten hurt , If you had help ."

" Its my vault for not helping you despite knowing your condition before ."

" Its my vault for burdening you ."

" No its not your vault this happened , its my vault for arriving late to assist Jin on his battle ."

" If I had arrived earlier he wouldn't have gotten injured nor surrounded by enemy's ."

Ae Ri

" No its my vault , If I had noticed the trouble before hand I would have been able to help him even just a little ."

Qiu Jin Wei

" Okay, stop blaming yourself ."

" Its my vault and my vault alone that I'm in this state ."

" If I hadn't recklessly charged into these situations I wouldn't have gotten injured ."

" However despite all that , I don't regret anything ."

" In the end what matters is that we are all alive and well , that's what matters ."

Xiao Qi leaned her body towards me , then proceeded to wrap her arms around me , embracing me within her arms before went down in tears.

" I'm glad you're still alive and well Brother Jin ."

" I'm thankful for your help , thank you for saving my life ."

" Don't mention it , I'm just glad your okay Xiao Qi ."

I gently pat her back as she cried on my arms placing her head on my chest . Calming her mind and warming her with a gentle embrace .

" Now lets move on ."

" Ae Ri , how much supplies did you managed to acquire ?"

" Ah yes , we managed to acquire almost a years worth of supplies for 1000 people ."

" We've also prepared a pair of armors and weapons enough for 500 people , including a few thousand arrows . "

" Xi an , How many troops do we have now ? "

Xi an

" We now have a total combined force of 700 people including the people Ae Ri and miss Mo brought with them ."

" We now have 500 Cavalrymen , 150 Spearmen and 50 Bowmen ."

" Understood , now where exactly are we ? "

" Reporting we are 2 days away from reaching Ru Nan ."

" 15 Wagons filled with supplies , 4 Wagons filled with the injured , and the wagon we're currently on ."

" So a total of 20 Wagons and carts ."

" Then , Xi an proceed for the rest of the way with this formation ."

" Wagons on the middle forming a line , with spearmen on each side of the wagons ."

" I want archers to scout the surrounding areas on the way there ."

" Lastly put the Cavalry into a square formation using the wagons as its center . "
