Chapter 9

" Grandma please this is really important what if my friends need my help or something" Mia said trying her best to convince her grandmother.

" Well if 'your friends ' need your help then I'm sure they know where to find you" Nimah replied obviously not buying Mia's lies.

" Grandma come on I'm not a child anymore please just let me go, I can take care of myself and obviously I'm not gonna let anyone hurt me like who would dare" Mia said proudly.

" Alright if you say so but you must take your necklace with you so I would be able to find you at any time." Nimah said defeated

Mia thanked her grandmother and teleported herself to the witches library and waited. She didn't have to wait for long before hearing a voice that she was all too familiar with by now.

" Well well well" She turned around and right there in the shadows was Amber the dragon girl she had earlier dealt with.

"If it isn't the little twerp, I wonder who you could be waiting, oh now I remember" she said with a humorless chuckle. " You're waiting for Damon but sorry to burst your bubble he isn't coming now it's just you me and these guys" Amber said spreading her arms as dozen of men cornered Mia.

" Wow and I thought you were one the schools best fighter so you're nothing but a little pussy it really is a shocker" Mia said mockingly feigning surprise." But come on you didn't think I was that dumb I mean who in their right minds would believe such a phony letter the only reason I showed up was cus I never miss a chance for a good fight but sadly seeing your little pity party here I think it's gonna be much of a beating for you all of course" Mia ravished the look on Amber's face

"Great dragon warriors this little bitch insults you all so I, Crowned princess Amber give you the permission to do what you seem fit with her but be warned there must be no shredd of life left in her, leave her empty but breathing." Amber said as a devilish smirk crawled up her face.

Mia returned her smirk and said" bring it on" . The men rushed towards her with full force and precision but Mia easily dogded them all she threw a punch at the nearest guy sending him flying. Two men rushed at her from either side but before they could lay a hand on her Mia had recited a spell turning them both in to earthen statues. And soon one by one the men kept dropping to the floor though they were not dead merely unconscious she couldn't kill them truth of it all was that they were just following orders soon she was left with only Amber. Amber charged at her with boiling lava evident raging through her eyes, she quickly drew out her swords and slashed at Mia.' she was skilled' Mia thought but still she could take her. Amber jumped high and threw a kick at Mia's rib cage which was sure to leave a mark but Mia didn't stop if anything it only fueled her up

" I might have to take back what I said about you maybe you're not just a little pussy after all" Mia said smirking as she threw a punch àt Amber collar bone before rwhich had momentarily disorganized her giving Mia the opportunity to recite her finishing spell. Mia had only said few words into her spell when she heard a great flapping sound and in the middle of the dark sky was a great red dragon with smoke huffing out of his nostrils, The dragon looked at her prey for about almost a split second before pouring out flames on Mia. The flames continued for about five minutes till Amber was sure she had finished off Mia but the reverse was the case because when she had extinguished the flames on Mia's body she expected to find the usual pile of ash that remains as it is a well known fact that dragon's breath are a hundred times hotter that regular flames and just thirty seconds of their flames is enough to turn a full grown tree in spring to nothing but a pile of ashes. But contary to Amber's thought Mia was alive and giggling in fact.

" Oh my goodness that was so ticklish i thought I would pee my pants" Mia squeal evidemce that she was in no pain of any sort the scenerio playing in front of Amber's eyes forced her to speak.

" Who the hell are you?" Amber said almost a whisper if not for Mia's super senses she wouldn't have been able to pick out her words.

" Well simple I'm a force not to be reckoned with." Mia stated with all seriousness while standing up and smoothening her dress with her arms before her frown evaporated into a smile" enjoyed our fight" Mia said before teleporting herself back home leaving Amber completely dumfounded.

Mia appeared in her room too tired to eat her dinner but simply crawled up into bed.

***THE NEXT DAY*** AT SCHOOL***

Mia got to school that day good as new thankfully her body had healed itself on time she thought about the fight last night and smiled she had expected the look the look on Amber's face when she found out she was immune to the fire though she hadn't expected she was immune to dragon flames as well truely there were a lot to her abilities she was yet to discover.

Mia caught up with Alice and they both walked to their classes till it was time for recess and everyone went to the cafeteria.

They had just walked in when a girl walked over and hugged Alice

" Oh My Goodness you're here " Alice said hugging the girl back."How's my little cousin bro" Alice asked.

"He's alright still growing and threatening my existence, um who's this?" The girl asked finally noticing Mia.

"Oh my bad, Mia meet my distant cousin from another pack; Nelly and Nelly meet my good friend Mia".

" Hey, Mia." Nelly asked smiling there truely was no doubt they were cousins their smile had a very close resemblance with two little dimples appearing each time they smile.

" Hi Nelly" Mia replied with the same smile. " So do you school here" Mia asked she was pretty sure she hadn't seen her anywhere before.

"Oh no I don't school here I just came to visit my fav cousinw who doesn't even seem to miss me" Nelly said feigning hurt which drew a laughter from all three of Nelly said feigning hurt drawing a laughter from all of them. Recess ended and it was time for Nelly to go home while Mia and Alice returned to class.

Soon it was time to go home and all the students started leaving, Mia and Alice walked out of the school together they had already agreed to meet up at Alice's place for some quality gossip time.Mia opened a portal to her room knowing that her grandmother wouldn't be around she was really busy this days with the incessant wars between the demons and witches. She stripped of her clothes and entered the shower. She had considered a bubble bath but decided it would take too long and instead went with a shower . After showering she pulled on some clothes and teleported herself to Alice's house. She appeared on the front door and knocked on the door but this time it was Alice who opened.

" Hey come on in" Alice said gesturing for Mia to come inside.Walking in Mia recognized the house, it looked as elegant and beautiful as when she last visited . Alice sat on a chair turning her back at Mia while saying " well well I've been expecting you," She said turning her chair to face Mia like some bad ass mafia Queen. Mia couldn't stop herself from laughing when she saw the look on Alice's face

"So you aren't sacred huh?, Alright enough of the jokes down to business so there's a party coming up this night are you in?" Alice asked eyes gleaming with excitement. Mia just rolled her eyes at her friend's behavior and said" Not interested".

" Don't you dare it you've gotta leave your house someday" Alice said giving Mia that ' you have no choice' look.

" I know and who says I don't attend parties I literally crash them I just don't feel like tonight." Mia said plopping on the couch next to Alice.

Suddenly Alice face lit up like she had just gotten the most brilliant idea ever and said" Well alright just so you know Damon and Amber would be there and I think it's for the best you don't come Amber hasn't gotten the chance to jump into his arms for a while now".

" What did you say" Mia growled unconsciously" I mean why do you think I would Care" Mia said quickly regaining composure.

" Nothing, just letting you know in case Amber becomes a mother after tonight cus I have that feeling she's gonna go all out for little master Damon but why do you care" Alive paused to catch a reaction from Mia "I just told you so you don't ask too many questions later you know how you love to ask questions about how close they are" she finished smirking.

" Fine, I'm coming but just because I thought about what you said and it's true I haven't been to a party in a while so yes I will come with you" Mia said trying to hide the rage coursing through her veins.

"Great now it's time for your dress" Alice squealed.

" Dress? do we have to? " Mia asked groaning.

"Well of course if not how else are we supposed to keep Damon awày from Amber."Alice replied smirking.

Alice picked out a short black gown with a v-shaped neckline for Mia saying "hmm this should look nice on you , here try it on." . Mia reluctantly took the gown and walked into the dressing room. She came out wearing the gown frowning. She tried pulling the dress down but to no avail she knew if she held on any further the dress would rip.

' well that isn't such a bad idea.' Mia thought to herself.

" Wow girl I take back everything I said about this dress looking nice on you.." Alice was about to say before Mia quickly chipped in"Right I knew this wouldn't work well I guess I just find another dress" Mia said happily. " Oh no girl I was about to say before you rudely interrupted me by the way" Alice said glaring at her" that the dress suits you perfectly, I mean just take a look at curves girl you're one lucky bitch cus I guarantee no one's gonna be able to take their eyes of you"
