Chapter 1 ❤️ Prologue

A thousand years ago in a small human town:

" Burn her!, Kill her!" were the chants that invaded the air. Nyx looked with teary eyes upon the entire towns people who had come to witness her death she was tied to a long wooden pole and soaked with fuel, looking beside her was the man she loved,the man for whom she had gone against the whole world.Her thoughts wandered back to that night, the night she had found her mate,the very night that turned her world upside down She had just returned from her mother's home when she met a man on the way lying in a small pool of blood, somehow in a way Nyx couldn't understand she was drawn to this man she had felt the sudden urge to help him irresistible and quickly went over to help him but he was unconscious ...

Nyx was jolted back from memory lane by when a sudden pain erupted through her body this time she knew what they had done to her ;fuel laced with silver had been poured all over her ,soaking her body from head to toe, again she heard that terrible sound erupting which .made her flinch her ears there was so much pain she was completely unaware that the horrible sound she had heard was coming from her it was nothing compared to the pain and torture she was going through

" What are you doing Nyx , use your powers kill them or I"ll do it and trust me it's not gonna be pretty" a familiar voice seeped through her head

" No Lucian you would do no such thing please just let it go please" she said in her head knowing well that he heard her .

"Soon, soon enough it would all be over all the pain,all the torture everything would come to an end soon I would feel no pain " these were the words that floated through her head when suddenly the world darkened before her very eyes and all she could do was whisper this last words

"I love you,Lucian"

And true to her thoughts all pain had ceased.
