Chapter Twenty — Seven

Michael's POV

“Her presence is needed as well. We had found ten bodies. And she is our prime suspect.” Adan told us. At first, I was confused, but then I realized the meaning of his words.

My head snapped towards Adan and for the first time in life I was caught off guard. I stood up with a wind like speed.

“What?” I asked. My eyes met James and then darted towards Linda whose lips were parted in shock. A look of disbelief on her face as much as ours. Like she was caught off guard.

Her hand covered her mouth as she stared at Adan then to me.

By the looks of her, I knew. I knew that it could not be her.

How could it even be possible? She was a human on an unknown and unfamiliar territory. Surrounded by strangers. Not knowing anyone here, she barely managed a day with the surrounding chaos.

And she was a damn human. Not a Werewolf.

It was ridiculous. As ridiculous as it could get.
