"Wait, let me switch on the satellite now," Sawyer said as he returned to the second floor. Not long after, he returned and asked Abigail to try it.
"Thank you, Sawyer! I was able to access it," Abigail replied happily.
"Good. Abby, sit near the fire while I prepare dinner. It won't take long; we're just going to grill some beef outside and enjoy the starry night," he explained, focusing on the preparation.
However, Abigail didn't move. She remained in her place, her apologetic gaze fixed on him.
She placed her cell phone on the dining table a few seconds later. Without waiting for him to speak, she joined him in the kitchen, standing beside him and looking up to meet his surprised gaze.
She grinned cutely, trying to persuade him not to refuse her offer. "Sawyer, let me wash the vegetables and fruit while you handle other things."
