Chapter 245 The Son of Fire Part 25

When Yul went downstairs for breakfast, he found U-ri and Michio already waiting. He walked to the table and sat down. He looked at U-ri's face and found that U-ri's expression was unusual, so he turned to look at Michio, who was happily eating fried donuts and drinking warm soymilk.

"I thought you would have a good night's sleep after sleeping on the ground for a month. With the look on your face, do you not have a good night sleep?" Yul asked.

U-ri frowned and said, "I slept very well. I wanted to sleep until everyone else woke up, but the pig eating his cabbage too loud that it ruined my morning sleep." He picked up the bowl of milk and started to drink it. After drinking the entire bowl of milk, he put the bowl on the table still feeling unsatisfied. "You know me, if my sleep is disturbed, I can't get back to sleep."

"Did you ruin his morning?" Yul looked at Michio.

Michio shook his head and said, "Hey, don't look at me. Whoever that person is, it's definitely not me." He took another bite of the fried donut in his hand.

U-ri said displeasingly, "How about you change rooms with me."

Yul chuckled and he understood what U-ri meant. "No need to change rooms. The walls in my room are just as thin as the walls in your room, so whatever sound or noise you hear, I hear it, too," he said.

"Good Moring," Abrafo smiled and walked towards the three Tanzanies.

U-ri turned to Abrafo, with a displeased expression on his face, he complained, "How dare you have such a smile on your face?"

Abrafo dumbfoundedly looked at U-ri and asked, "What did I do to you? I don't believe I offended you so early in the morning." He walked to the table and sat across from U-ri.

U-ri said, "Tonight, you and Yul will change rooms."

Abrafo asked doubtfully, "Why?"

U-ri said, "You know why, boy. Do you have to destroy this old man's sleep to make you happy?"

Abrafo smiled shyly and scratched his forehead with his index finger. "Oops, I'm sorry. I'll keep it down the next time," Abrafo said.

Fufu walked in and found that there were only four Tanzanies eating breakfast at the table, so she walked quickly to them and asked, "Where is Bong?" She sat on the stool between Yul and U-ri.

U-ri said, "Ask Abrafo."

Abrafo said, "He will come down after changing his clothes." He poured hot soymilk from the kettle in a bowl, handed it to Fufu, and then poured himself a bowl of hot soymilk. He looked at his friends at the table. "Bong said he convinced Lixin to help us. He will be our seventh person." He took a sip of milk.

Michio said, "That's great."

Abrafo put the bowl down and said, "Don't be too happy too early. Lixin's help has conditions."

Yul asked, "What conditions?"

"He wanted the fourth key as his reward," Abrafo said.

Michio said, "How can we give him the fourth key. We can't get in without the fourth key."

U-ri said, "Michio...that treasure room does contain a lot of gems and gold, but do you really need to open your mouth so loudly for everyone to hear?"

Fufu looked at the men and said, "So, you five are collecting keys to a treasure room?"

Abrafo cleared his throat and said, "Yes."

Fufu asked, "How much gold are we talking about?"

U-ri said, "We don't know how much because we have never seen the treasure room and don't know its location."

Fufu looked at the men at the same table with her, her eyes widened in excitement, she asked, "So you are treasure hunters?"

Yul looked at his friends and replied, "We are. We need that treasure to save our kingdom."

Fufu was surprised. "You make me admire you even more," she said, smiling. "Although Maka City is not rich in resources and gold, if you need help, we will try our best to help you within our ability."

U-ri said, "Well, thank you Lady Fufu."

While the four Tanzanies and Fufu were still talking, Bong, Lixin, and Lixin nine subordinates walked into the dining area.

Shi looked at the four Tanzanies and Fufu who was still eating. "It's time for everyone to leave," he said.

Michio said, "But we haven't finished eating yet."

Shi said with a warm smile, "When registering, all team members must be present. No matter whether you have queued up or not, registration ends at noon."

U-ri said, "In this case, we have to hurry up."

There was already a long queue when the four Tazanies and their friends arrived before the sun came up.

Looking at the long queue, Michio asked his friends, "Did I misheard what the young lady said yesterday?"

Yul said, "If these are the best, it's going to be a hard game to win."

Shi said, "My lord, according to the information I have collected, the head of the librarian will only give away one hundred gold plates. The first three days are the preliminary selection days of the one hundred teams. After all teams have been carefully selected, the real competition begins on the fourth day. Once the match begins, no player is allowed to leave the mansion unless their team is defeated."

Fufu asked, "How many teams will be selected in the primary selection?"

Shi said, "Twenty."

"Only twenty!" Abrafo turned around with a shocked expression on his face. "How many teams have signed up?"

Shi said, "There are many, but the head of the librarian will only select a hundred teams that he thinks are suitable for this competition, so all players must be present when registering."

Michio said, "It makes sense now."

"Next!" said a middle-aged man wearing a long white rope.

U-ri said, "That's us."

The middle-aged man in white robe asked, "Which of the seven people who going to enter?"

Lixin looked at the man and said, "Us seven."

Lixin's firm tone made the person sitting with his eyes closed suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Lixin, the four Tanzanies, and Fufu.

"Interesting," Ru said, fanning the paper fan, and slowly stood up from the chair. "This team is so interesting." He looked at the four Tanzanies, Lixin, Bong and Fufu. "Four very handsome gentlemen, a monk, an old man, and a pretty woman." He picked up a goldplate with the number twenty-six written on it. He smiled at the four Tanzanies, Lixin, Bong, and Fufu. "Welcome to the game, number twenty-six." He handed the goldplate to Lixin. "Please be on time tomorrow."

Lixin took the goldplate from Ru and handed it to U-ri. He said, "We will be on time."

"Next," the middle-aged man shouted.

Now that they have a goldplate, their spot in the competition is guaranteed, so they don't need to stay and wait to see if they will be selected. The four Tanzanies and their friends decided to have lunch and then go back to the inn to prepare for tomorrow's preliminary selection. The four Tanzanies and their group of friends started walking back when a man's voice caught their attention.

"I'm so lucky to have the chance to capture you again."

The four Tanzanies and Fufu looked back and found Wadi, Anu and five other subordinates standing not far from them.

Abrafo looked at Wadi, Anu and the five subordinates, he gritted his teeth and said, "I also have a score to settle with you."

Anu looked at the people in front of him and found that Hajime was not with them. "Where is the white-haired man?" Anu asked. He waited, but the men standing before him seemed to refuse to answer. "I've let you run away since we last met." He took a step closer to the four Tanzanies and their friends. "This time, history will not repeat itself."

Lixin stepped forward, stood in front of Fufu, stared at Anu, and said firmly, "My life is yours, as long as your sword is fast enough, but..." He looked at Anu and the six people standing with Anu, and he smirked. "If your sword is not as fast as mine, my sword would be the last thing you see."

Anu glared at Lixin and breathed angrily from his nostrils, but he couldn't argue because Lixin stood taller than him and there was no sign that Lixin was threatened by his words.

Fufu came up from behind Lixin and said, "I'm not afraid of these bastards."

Wadi looked at Fufu and said, "Let's settle the old and new scores on the chessboard."

Fufu stepped forward, stood an arm's length away from Wadi, gritted her teeth and said, "I'm waiting for you on the chessboard, you owe me an arrow in the chest."

Fufu's fearless answer made Lixin look at Fufu and softly chuckle.

Wadi sneered at Fufu and walked away with Anu and his five subordinates.

Shi looked at the backs of Wadi and Anu and said, "Arrogant men."

Lixin turned to the four Tanzanies and Fufu and said, "I still have other business with my men. You can go back to the inn." He looked at Bong. "You come with me."

Bong said, "What if I said no."

Lixin looked at his subordinates and said, "Drag him with us."

Bong took his hand away from Heng and said, "I can walk by myself." He grabbed Abrafo's hand.

"Hey," Abrafo said, trying to shake his hand away. "I don't want to go."

Bong said, "If I go, you go."

The three Tanzanies and Fufu watched as Bong dragging Abrafo away with Lixin and Lixin's nine subordinates.

Michio yelled after Abrafo, "Don't be late tomorrow!"

Yul sighed and said, "Let's go back to the inn."

As the three Tanzanies and Fufu were wandering the streets heading towards the inn, a young woman bumped into U-ri, nearly knocking him to the ground.

"Oh child, what's the matter?" U-ri said, looking at the frightening young woman.

"Good sir, please help me," the young woman begged. Seeing a woman in her early sixties with heavy makeup and red lipstick walking towards her with three strong men, she quickly hid behind Yul.

Yul could tell from the way the young woman grabbed his belt that she was terrifying. Yul could feel her heavy and warm breath touching his back, and her trembling hands were placed on his waist.

"You four, don't interfere," Mother Lu said. "She sold herself to me." She waved a written paper in front of the three Tanzanies and Fufu. "I have a legal contract that says she sold herself to me."

U-ri asked, "Child, is this true?"

The young woman said in a low, almost childish voice, "That's true, but I sold myself to be a maid, not one of her flower girls."

Mother Lu said, "What's the difference? You sold yourself to me. As for what position you can take, that's my business. If you are unwilling to accept the task given to you, then give me back the money."

Yul asked, "How much?"

Mother Lu looked at Yul and said, "Three hundred silver leaves."

The young woman burst into tears and said timidly, "You... you only gave me five leaves to bury my mother and brother. Why three hundred silver leaves now?"

U-ri said, "Madam, this doesn't seem right. You bought her for only five leaves. It is illegal to increase the price so high." U-ri took out twenty silver leaves. "Twenty silver leaves for that contract."

Mother Lu smiled and said angrily, "Three hundred right now and the slave is yours, or get out of my way."

Yul knew that with his and U-ri's combine leaves would not be enough to set the young woman free, so he took out his golden palace pass, looked at it for a while, and said, "This is a tally of pure gold. If sold, it would be worth more than three hundred silver leaves."

U-ri quickly grabbed Yul's hand, "Yul...you can't give this up."

Yu threw his palace pass to Mother Lu.

A strong man caught the golden tally and took a bite to confirm that it was indeed pure gold. He nodded to Mother Lu, and then handed the golden tally to Mother Lu.

Mother Lu walked up to Yul and said, "Here." She handed the contract to Yul. "She is yours now." Mother Lu turned around and left with the three strong men.

U-ri sighed and shook his head, "You shouldn't have done that. That pass has been with you for more than ten years. What a shame."

Yul said, "It's just a personal artifact. It can always be regained." He turned back to the frightening young woman and handed her the contract. "Here, you're free now."

Fufu smiled at Yul and said, "I never thought that I would see your gentle side." She giggled.

U-ri said, "If you want to hear more stories about Yul's gentle side, I can tell you everything."

Yul shook his head at U-ri and Fufu. "Come on, don't you want to go to bed early and change rooms?" He said as he pushed U-ri forward towards the inn.
