Alistair's POV

"Has there been anymore Moon Rock wolves within our border since yesterday," I asked, growing more annoyed by the discussion.

Nebo straightened himself, "no Alpha. We have added extra patrols on the east, west and north of the territory. The south Gavrill is in charge of."

Speaking of Gavrill.

Looking around, I noticed my brother was nowhere to be seen.

"Where is my brother," I asked all three of the men standing in front of me.

"Unsure sir," Valenner answered for the group.

I passed a glance over at Cuyler who seemed uneasy since he entered my office and periodically looking out the window. I decided to shrug it off for now as I mindlinked Gavrill.

"Gavrill." Nothing.

"Gavrill?" Still, nothing.

"GAVRILL!" This time I shouted.

"I'm busy and you're annoying, what is it," he panted.

"You need to come to the house. You're late for the security breach meeting."

"Oh, that," he painted again. "You're in luck because I'm already running there."

"Well, hurry up," I snapped.

"I'm at your command, my alpha," Gavrill piped before the link closed.

He is infuriating. Kind of like someone else I know when they get mouthy.

I sat there for a moment wondering how Noir was healing as Valenner broke through my train of thought as he greeted Macario and Thyra.

"Alpha," the two elders spoke in sync.

Nodding, I looked at the two elders and frowned.

"What is it," I questioned, my mind immediately going to Noir and her recovery.

As if she could read my thoughts, Thyra spoke.

"Don't worry about your mate. The child is fine. Extremely rude but fine. Her healing is almost complete," Thyra confirmed, her faded eyes never leaving mine.

"Then why are you here," I asked when the look of worry flashed across her face again.

"Well, there seems to be an interesting change in Noir, Alister," Thyra retorted, catching me off guard.

"What do you mean 'interesting' with her? You said she was almost fully recovered"

"I said that but I also said there is an interesting change in Noir. Pay attention to the answers of the questions you ask, pup."

This woman.

"And what would that be," I growled.

"She's like you," Thyra deadpanned, unphased

"What," I questioned.

"I'm not repeating myself," Thyra paused, not caring to choose her words carefully before passing a glance to Macario.

"What are you not telling me," I snapped as I stood.

Thyra didn't say anything and then it clicked. "What did you see, Thyra?"

"Tell him," Macario shrugged.

"Noir. On one side of her there was a wolf and a lycan. Your wolf and your lycan. On the other side, a single lycan. I couldn't see him clearly but he was dark in color but also light. Together, the three of you will be an unbreakable force, saving this pack and each other. But..."

Thyra paused.

"One of you may die. The vision became disoriented," Thyra finished, bowing her head slightly.

"I see," was all I said as I took in what Thyra had said.

"Alpha," Nebo spoke, catching my attention.

"What is it, Nebo?"

"You might want to see this," my beta responded, pointing down and out the window.

Cuyler was the first at the glass followed by the rest of us. What I saw made my blood boil.

Running up the cobblestone pathway was River, tongue lolled to the side. She jumped as she looked up and barked.

I followed her line of sight and saw a Lycan a few paces ahead of her, jumping from limb to limb. When he landed in front of her, River jumped again taking the beast by surprise as they rolled. River immediately regained her balance as she took off again.

The closer they got, I could see the lycan better. His body was covered in a blueish grey pelt with white randomly littering it. His face had white fur circling around his eyes and the sides of his muzzle.

"Dark in color but also light," Thyra's words echoed in my mind but I quickly discarded them.

"Eskil," Hael grumbled, Rune nodding in agreement.

"I know who the hell it is," I snapped.

So this is where Gavrill was and why he was late.

Without hesitation, I jumped through the window and transformed, letting Hael take over as the duo came to a halt before us.
