Shera's perspective

Alright, so...today was day 13th of the third Summer, 1173 (July 13th according to John's world calendar). Previously, I was inside the kitchen preparing for my husband his breakfast. John tended to wake up a bit late these days, this time was 7:34 AM or half 8th-morning bell.

Now I was walking out from the Servants' zone to head straight to the Lord's zone to come to our room to wake John up, he was still sleeping. My husband's memory was still very blurred, he lost his memory so he didn't remember us, also strangely cold to us for no reason, which made me very sad.

But I would help my husband no matter what, even if his memory could not return forever, there would be ways for us to heat up our marriage relationships, must patient. After thinking, I stepped out from the Servants' zone and then headed to the Lord's zone, I hope Reimi was guarding John well because she would be the one to protect him when I was away.

A short time later, I came to the room and witnessed Reimi, she was guarding the door but immediately nodded to greet me as she saw my appearance. I must go inside. But at first, maybe I should spend a few moments chatting with Reimi, she later would have to go to school and the Palace to investigate the incoming war.

"Reimi".

"Yes, my Highness?". - Reimi pointed her eyes at me while guarding the door

"Is John alright inside?".

"I see that Lord Rigen's still sleeping...he is fine, my Highness".  "Despite...he used to grunt earlier, but it has ended now". - She said to me while leaning her glance at the door for few times before looking straight at my eyes

"Ummm...why don't you have a rest now, Reimi? I mean, you must have some sleep".  "Later would have to head to the Palace and the school to collect intel...have a rest, Reimi". - Maybe I would ask my servant about the results of yesterday's investigation later, must wake my husband up first

"As you wish, my Highness". - She nodded to take the order

"I'll head inside to call John now, return to your room and rest till your department, Reimi". - After speaking with my servant, I grabbed the door's handle

"Wait a minute, my Highness! Lady Sarah just had given you a letter this morning but I forgot to announce it to you". - Sarah? Ohhh, I got it now, because of her land's affairs these days so she could not visit John

"Speak...".

"Ummm...Lady Sarah said that she will be here in a short time to visit Lord Rigen".  "Should we ask her to delay her arrival, my Highness? Because we haven't prepared teas or anything to welcome her".

"No need for it, she comes here to visit John because she cares about him".  "Sarah would surely return to her region after the visit, she won't be free to have tea".  "But remember on behalf of me to greet her when she comes, Reimi".

"Understood". - Reimi nodded and I stopped talking to her and walked inside the room and closed the door

In front of me was now John, my husband was still lying on the bed to sleep, he must have been very tired these days when he lost his memory. Should I wake him up now? Because I didn't want to disturb John so I approached the bed silently while pointing my eyes to the desk nearby.

The desk had a wooden box that stored medicines that were sent from my sister-in-law and Sarah was mixed in there, to regain John's health. There was no medicine to help him to recover his memory so I could only use these pills to regain his strength, I only hoped my husband would be able to recover his memory this time.

"John...are you awake?". - I asked my husband if he was awake, he needs to have a good breakfast and shortly drink medicines as the schedule to regain his health

My husband didn't reply but kept lying on the bed while his head and his body leaned on the left side, the bedsheet covered him from his feet to his chest, he was still sleeping. I softly sat on the bed while staring at John, he was very cute as always though he needed help this time...maybe I should wake him up now.

"John...". - I called John softly but didn't hear his reply

Even if he considered me a stranger and was cold to me, I would help my husband to remember me and others, resuming our relationship was just a matter of time. After staring at John for a few seconds, I slowly leaned my right hand toward him to wake him up, today maybe I should ask my husband to read books with me to heat up our relationship.

"Don't touch me...". - Before my hand could reach John, his low tone voice sounded as if to warn me from touching him

I immediately put my hand away from my husband and he slowly got up and turned his head straight to me to see me, he looked a bit...pale. John's eyes were exposed as if he was very sleepy while his face looked very pale and tired, did my husband have problems with his sleep?

"Ummm...good morning, John".  "It's morning now, you woke up late today once again...".

John heard my words but didn't reply to anything but just simply got out of the bed and sat on a chair nearby. Maybe he had faced something bad in his sleep so he could not sleep, poor my husband...I must help him.

"May I help you with something, John?". - I asked John while approaching him slowly

John just sat there while glancing at me for a few seconds before looking away, he didn't say a word but his face kept grumbling harder. Instead of saying anything, he shortly stood up and then came to the closet as if John wanted to have a bath after waking up or something.

"Let me choose the clothes for you, John...I hope you love to wear comfortable clothing". - I came to the closet and opened it and looked for the clothes which I wanted to choose for my husband

Suddenly, when I was wondering which kind of clothing should I choose for my husband, John casually grabbed his Marine uniform and the dark jungle boots. After taking the clothes for him to change into after bathing, he turned around and approached the room's door as if he wanted to exit.

"Let me ask the maids to prepare for you the bathing water, John".  "They haven't prepared anything yet, also please let me go with you". - Actually, the maids had already prepared the bathing water but I insisted on following my husband to look after him

"No need...do not let me see you this time, give me a space...".  "I'm not in a good mood, let me alone for a while, Shera...". - John said to me in his low voice while opening the door

"But John, a-"

"I said I want to be alone! Don't make me mad, shut your fucking mouth off!". - John yelled at me terribly so I was startled, what should I do to calm down my husband?

But before I could open my mouth, John had left the scene and now was walking in the hallway, intending to go straight to the bathroom. What should I do now? I don't want to make him mad so, what should I do? Hmmm...maybe Reimi could help me somehow, I think!

Reimi did not say anything when John left the room but she naturally stepped away to let him go, she and I were both staring at John powerlessly. John would be very mad if I keep following him so I chose to let Reimi follow my husband as the only way to look after him, must do it!

I glanced at Reimi fastly and then stared at John to ask her to stalk him, Reimi only nodded and then rushed to my husband, to protect him. After looking at John and Reimi heading to the bathroom for a few seconds, finally I relieved so I returned to the room to wait for my husband's return.

I shortly approached the bed and sat on it while waiting for John to return, Ilis - our private maid would be here for a short time to deliver John's breakfast for me. Something wrong had happened to John after losing his memory, he became a bit impulsive and cold to us for no reason, I must find out the reason that made him do that.

Although I used to ask John about that problem but he didn't say anything, became an odd taciturn for no reason. Maybe my husband had faced something bad after losing his memory, even if I could not ask him what kind of problem he was facing then I could at least do something to please him.

The situation was quite depressing to me but I must be patient, there would be a way to solve the problem. While sitting on the bed, I glanced at a small table which was placed near the windows to take the sunlit. Advisor was sitting on the table and now had been turned off to charge, he must be useful to John.

Maybe I should turn on Advisor to ask him to scan for my husband's health after he had finished his breakfast. But badly that I only had one Advisor, Reimi's Advisor had been taken by Hatano so I could not have one to call him if John suddenly, for example: Got lost while wearing the device.

"Sigh...". - Maybe I had thought too much, John would surely not go outside

"Your Highness...". - While sitting on the bed, I heard a woman's voice call me so I pointed my eyes to the door

That was Ilis, she had gone to the room with a wooden plate that held dishes and water cups for John's breakfast, today's breakfast was very delicious, I wanted my husband to have good taste. This maid only bowed to me slightly as she came inside, my eyes glanced at the desk so Ilis shortly put the plate on it as I ordered her to do.

"Return to the kitchen...I'll call you again when I need, Ilis".

"Understood, Your Highness". - Ilis bowed to me and then turned around to walk away

I silently got off the bed and approached the desk, later sat on a chair while staring at the food dishes on the plate, they were all hot and yummy. I hope my husband would be enjoyed eating this breakfast. While I was thinking, the room's door suddenly got opened and John walked inside...he bathed quite fast, his hair was still a bit wet as if he hadn't wiped well.

"Hey, John...please enjoy your hot meal, my husband". - Alright, I smiled at John while pointing to a chair beside me to ask my husband to sit on

My husband just simply put the towel on the chair's top rail and shortly sat beside me, he was still very taciturn, should intimate more, alright. After having breakfast, John would have to drink some pills and I would ask Advisor to scan for his health shortly. Now my husband must have good taste, I wished so.

"John...here, eat something". - I grabbed the bowl and intended to feed my husband to be intimated more to him

"Get out...I want to be alone".  "Don't make me mad...I'm not a kid, I can do it myself". - John spoke to me coldly so I lowered the spoon...why did you become this heartless?

"Okay...but if you face any struggles, please ask me to help you, John".

"Nod! Now get out...". - John nodded and roughly snatched the meal bowl from me

I didn't know what to say so I slowly nodded and silently walked away to go outside, could not stop glancing at my husband but kept standing there while holding the door. A few seconds passed and John grumbled his face when he knew I was peeking at him so I closed the door and let him have his own privacy.

Finishing closing the door, sighing was the only way I know to express myself, I sighed while turning around and facing Reimi...we expressed the same feelings, my servant. She and I were both sad while staring at each other. At least we were heading toward the same goal, not being jealous for no reason to control my husband anymore.

"Sigh...don't worry about John, Reimi! He will be fine, we must be patient".  "Anyway, how were your results in yesterday's investigation?".

"Here, my Highness! The third location till now beyond my reach but I'll do my best to breach in there for clues". - Reimi slowly gave me some small papers which were the notes that I asked her to write out everything she saw during her investigation

I grabbed the notes and took a short time to look while my brain was memorizing and briefing the details I was reading, alright...understood. According to Reimi's private investigation in the Palace: His Majesty had passed down a new law the previous day, the detail was about the military mandatory service. Every student whose age was enough 15 would have to join the military training for 10 weeks in their schools.

It was very odd because...new laws were supposed to be announced to other regions before getting passed down by the King according to our Warsaw laws, what a strange. Normally, every law which the King or his vassals make out would have to be reported to each other before proceeding to apply in their lands. This case was an exception, never happened in our Warsaw history.

The one who suggested forming the new law:

This woman was not just cunning but also insolent and disrespectful to us, how could she dare to ask my brother to make this kind of law?!

The reason for forming the new law: Teaching the students about military life in order to make them have a better lifestyle and prepare for bad scenarios. Every one of you is the seed of your homeland, when your homeland needs you, you must stand up to protect it. You chose to join the military, your volunteer will be remembered.

She forced the students to join the military in the name of "voluntary", how cunning she was, Hatano was just a freak!. But I must keep reading the notes...alright, one more intel.

The Prime Minister was now staying in Attenta Kingdom's capital city with the purpose to help Attenta King, according to my sister-in-law. His stay would take months before going back to Warsaw, my brother was surely ambitious on something, I guess! When the Prime Minister was away, my brother was like being freed.

The next intel which was written by Reimi when she came to the school to observe the military training for students, let's see it:

I remembered that I arrived here at 10:13 AM, around the school surrounded by angry parents. Because they could not visit their children due to the new law which had been passed down suddenly, combined with His Majesty's late announcement to the people.

The ones who dared to head inside had been beaten roughly without mercy by the Green Marines of the unit Head Hunters. After beating the parents, some people attempted to breach into the school to save their children so a small riot occurred, but I didn't have the chance to see the entire riot.

Unfortunately, I was being held outside the school for a few minutes during the riot, those Marines locked me in an outdoor women's restroom. After that, I headed out and was led by a woman Marine whose name seemed to be odd, she was named Six, she instructed me to go around the school before heading inside.

While going around the schoolyard, I saw some students and teachers had been beaten heavily and later hung on the tall pillars strapped to the shapes of the silver stars. Their hands and their feet got tied to the ropes and being left starved and thirsty.

Honestly, my Highness! I think this woman is blaspheming our religion by using those star symbols, how insolent she is!

Later I headed inside the school and encountered Lady Raptu, Lady Erissen and Lady Akane, they looked miserable. Lady Akane managed to be letting off or something. After all, she is a Royal member of Ashura Kingdom, though she got cursed because she could not walk to fight.

About Lady Erissen, she was now inside the school's pharmacy room because her belly had been sliced during a teamwork spar against women Marines. A woman had used a real sword to storm into Lady Erissen's formation during the fight and made all students get wounded and bleeding badly.

About Lady Raptu, she was very mad about her friend's wounds so she rushed to those women Marines and fought them off, but not so successfully. She was now also in the pharmacy room alongside Lady Erissen, she was stabbed quite much but at least the beast humans physical strength is naturally strong so she would be fine.

While I was concentrating on the notes, I felt like someone was behind me so I turned behind and realized that was John, he was peeking at me. Well, he was actually staring at the notes I was reading and shortly leaned his right hand toward me as if he wanted to borrow the notes, so I gave my husband all.

"Done eating". - John said to me while reading the notes, Reimi bowed toward him as she saw him coming

"Please return to drink some pills, John...you need to recover your health".

"Done that too...". - John only said short words to me and later went on reading the notes

"May you need me to do for you something, John?".

John later sighed and pointed his thumb to the room whose door was still open, he did that casually without keeping his eyes out of the notes. Maybe John asked me to clean the previous breakfast or something, his room was a bit clumsy so I would ask Ilis to clean it later.

After having the command from my husband, I was about to go but Reimi tapped my right shoulder and then nodded to me for no reason. She later turned around, glanced at the room as if on my behalf of me to clean the breakfast and then call Ilis to clean the room, thank you!

"Wait a minute...". - When Reimi was about to come to the door, John stopped reading and asked us with a low tone

"Yes, John?".

"Where's Hatano? I want to talk to her, training must be training, not a bloody field". - John grumbled his face while returning to me the fur notes, for some reason...I felt my husband was kind than the previous acts he made

"Lord Hatano's now in Keris Academy alongside the garrisoning Green Marines, Lord Rigen".  "She's training the students there, I'll later head there to observe too". - Reimi replied to John while stopping her steps as if she was waiting for his order

"I want to head there to give her some commands...what the hell's wrong with this woman?". - John grumbled his face after finishing his talk and walked into the long hallway, I followed him

"It'll take me time but I'll call out a carriage team to escort us there, Lord Rigen! Wait for me". - While we were walking, Reimi talked loudly to John to tell him to wait

We later walked out of the Lord's zone and headed to the workroom, John suddenly approached the work table to take a short look at Veta's affairs unfinished task papers. From now on, there would be a woman soldier to come here daily to collect the daily paperwork of Veta to transfer the papers to Spera.

Hatano would have affairs outside of her region and when she returns to her castle, she would solve the affairs from both regions. Those papers would later be transferred to Veta once again to apply the changes to the region, the next day would have another woman soldier comes to collect the papers.

But oddly today did not have any soldier to come here to collect the papers so my husband was free to look at his previous daily paperwork as the Veta Lord. John did not read the entire details of the papers but just simply read some lines and then changed to other ones.

"She wants to drain out the economy of this land or something? Shit...Hatano".  "Military fund raised the most, clothing, food and other goods taxes are also raising...".  "Not good at all...". - John talked to himself while letting the papers to be lying all around the table without the order

"I need you to look after this shit, Shera...if you're truly my wife then hear me".  "Do not touch these papers, I'll finish them myself when I return". - John ordered me to keep the papers so I nodded to him

"Have a good day, Sir! I come here to collect the task papers as Commander Hatano ordered me to do". - After nodding to John, another voice sounded behind us so I turned behind and saw a woman soldier who had two Japanese flag symbols on her collar - she was a Spera soldier

"Do not take the papers away, soldier...let them be here".  "Personally, I'd like to have a little talk with your Lord". - John approached the woman soldier while asking her

"But Commander's now training the students in the school, Sir. The papers are ordered to be collected daily". "Please stay away to let me do the job, Sir".

"I want to fire her right now, get the fuck out and do not let me see you again, woman!". - John was quite mad or something so he yelled at the soldier - my husband used to be very short-tempered, his previous personality seemed like had returned when he lost his memory

"Sorry, Sir". - The woman soldier made a slight bow to apologize to my husband, later made a military salute toward him and got away

After dismissing the woman soldier, Reimi ran past us in a rush because she was transferring the breakfast plate to the Servants' zone. Meanwhile, John sat on the table while looking at the papers as if he wanted to solve them but cared more about seeing his subordinate.

"Shera...immediately take my gear, I'll go to school shortly, go prepare quickly". - John suddenly ordered me so I nodded and then ran to the Lord's zone

After heading to the Lord's zone, I rushed to the room and opened the door, got to John's pillow, lifted it up to collect his pistol - M1911. Later leaned my hand under the bed to grab John's sword and opened the lowest drawer of the desk to grab ammunition for his pistol.

Although John's memory had lost but seemed like he could still remember the ways to use guns and swords skillfully as his natural birth ability. Okay...I looked around to check for some more and noticed that Advisor was sitting at the table...should I?

I mean, maybe I should grab him for my husband because I will Advisor about John's health check when he returns from meeting with Hatano. Therefore I grabbed Advisor and suddenly saw a green handbag beside him, my husband used to bring this handbag with him every time he arrived in other places for doing his job's affairs.

So I also grabbed the green handbag and then walked to the door with the purpose to go outside of this room. Suddenly as I opened the door, I faced Ilis - she seemed to be newly come here, her appearance meant Reimi had done handing over the plate to the maids in the kitchen.

"Clean the room, Ilis".

"Understood, Your Highne-". - Before Ilis could end her talk, I got out of her sight to head to the workroom

As I headed to the workroom, I saw John standing at the castle's front doors as if he was observing something. Little did I know, my husband was observing Reimi because she was ordering the women soldiers to prepare horses and a carriage for the departure.

"I'm sorry for my lateness, my Highness, Lord Rigen!".  "Anyway...I think I will go to school to do the work that you ordered me, my Highness. Wait for me a bit, to prepare my gear". - Reimi after ordering the women soldiers, she returned to us and could only have time to say some words before running toward the Lord's zone

Reimi later rushed to the Lord's zone while I was standing beside John to observe the scenes outside, some horses had been strapped to the carriage. Meanwhile, John was holding a task paper that seemed to be taken from the work table, he kept staring at its details without noticing my appearance beside him.

"Ummm...John". - I called my husband softly while holding his weapons and Advisor

"...". - John heard my words but only stayed silent, very taciturn, he silently received the weapons and Advisor

After taking the weapons, John put his pistol on its holster and his sword on the left side of the belt, wearing Advisor on his right wrist. Normally, I would kiss my husband or at least send him lucky words before he goes out to work...but this time, would he welcome my feelings openly?

"You forgot this thing, John". - I gave John his green handbag and he silently received it

"Hey...at least...let me give you a kiss before going, John". - For a reason, I made my voice to be a bit sexy to convince my husband to let me kiss him

"...". - John said nothing but only nodded after a few seconds hearing my words, he had hesitated or something

I wanted to make my kiss to be hot and lovely to my husband so I tiptoed while grabbing his face to give him a very lovely kiss but...well. John reacted to be a bit cautious every time I touch him, he cored his muscles hard while grumbling his face as I was about to kiss him.

"Don't worry...just a kiss, John". - I grabbed his nape slightly and kept tiptoeing to kiss my husband

"Kiss!". - I kissed my husband lovely while tiptoeing, I was a bit lusted because John hadn't sex with me for 3 days, just wanted to be intimated with my husband every night

I kissed John but didn't want to slip his tongue out of mine, I very lusted every time I kissed him, just wanted to ask my husband to get on the bed with me, so romantic to think. But John was quite serious so he only let me kiss him for a short time, he roughly pulled me away from his mouth and then returned to observe the carriage and the horses.

"Ummm..may I come with you, John?". - Well, I would like to visit the school and my friends in the pharmacy room, poor them when they got wounded, sigh!

"No...". - John rejected me and even shook his head, if I was in the carriage, I would like to do something to be intimate with my husband during the one-hour journey from Veta to the Capital

"Ummm...good luck on your journey, John...". - As I saw my husband leave me to approach the carriage, I wished him good luck

Honestly, I'd rather follow John everywhere he wants instead of waiting for him, staying together all the time would be the best way for me. While waving to John as he was in the carriage, Reimi rushed to me and gasped as she finished preparing her gear for the investigation.

"Reimi...remember to look after my husband, don't let him out of your sight".  "Currently, John needs help a lot this time so do not let him be alone, it would be dangerous". - Honestly, seeing myself could not stay with my husband but my servant could, I felt madly jealous of my rival, hmmph!

"Understood, my Highness! Ummm...I forgot about...I mean, the story about your uncle".  "He's still alive, my Highness...but I cannot find him in his workplace, so I-". - Reimi tried to talk to me properly while gasping

"Talk about my uncle when you return, now remember to look after John on behalf of me, Rei...I mean...Reimi". - Hmmph! I must calm down, jealous was very nonsense this time, both of us were all having the same purpose to cure my husband, not take over him

"I'll return soon, my Highness!". - Reimi bowed to me the last time before heading inside the carriage

The carriage later rolled its wheels and got away from my sight fastly, I hope Reimi would not do anything to seduce my husband...hmmph!

Ummm...I must calm down because I would have to wait for his return, must not lose my patient...sigh! So tired. Maybe I would work out in the backyard and later self-study with the books that I bought from the Capital. The reality was not what I expected, I used to dream about asking my husband to exercise with me in the backyard but now...

Uhhh! Not so long after John's carriage departed for the Capital city. I saw another carriage that had a blue background on its door alongside the Silver Eagle symbol - that was Stansa flag symbol - the Peacekeeper.

"Urrghhhh! I'm gonna hurry, John is waiting for me!". - Sarah for out of the carriage in a rush while holding a wrapped box - maybe medicines for John...or food for him, why did I get jealous?

"Hello, Princess. Well, how's about John? May I visit him now? Here are some pills". - Sarah later gave me the medicines but...my husband was now away, what should I do to deal with her?

Reimi's perspective

Five minutes had passed since our departure from Veta to the Capital city, our carriage was now in Burav town. About to head to the border gate to do the check before heading to the Capital city.

John was sitting on the seat opposite me and was focusing his eyes on a task paper that he took from the piles of papers on his work table, he was very focused. Her Highness was very counting on me because I would have to look after her husband when she could not stay with him...I must prove myself useful for her, alright!

"Uhhh...Lord Rigen, may I have a talk with you?". - John seemed very taciturn after losing his memory or something, he behaved oddly

"Call me John...I don't like to speak so formality...it sounds fake". - John talked to me with a low tone while keeping his eyes on the paper's details

"Ummm...John...I'll be the one to protect you in the name of your wife so".  "If you have any questions on anything or problems you're facing but you cannot tell anyone, I'll hear you out".

"Nod...". - John slowly nodded to me and then the carriage stopped rolling, we have come to Veta's border gate
