Chapter 262 "Plan To Assault Gringotts"

Observing Auston escorting Bill away, Rosier inquired softly, "This young man, I don't seem to see anything in him that is particularly worthy of our recruitment. Do we need to spend so much Galleon and energy on him?"

Hearing Rosier's question, Wentworth donned a smile and replied, "Even if he's a piece of garbage, it is only for temporary. Trust my judgment on this one, Grandma. Bill will prove to be worth of our resources. Besides, Bill's ability to become a Gringotts spell-breaker is something worthy of recognition! Consider it a free chess move; we have nothing to lose anyway."

With these words, Wentworth sighed before adding, "Grandma Rosier, times have changed, and it's not an era that only talks about ideals."

Nodding thoughtfully at Wentworth's statement, Rosier absorbed the wisdom conveyed. "I believe you are getting wiser day by day, Wentworth. I couldn't be more proud to be standing by your side."

Shortly after, when Auston returned to the study, Wentworth greeted him with a smile, saying, "Good job!"

Receiving Wentworth's affirmation, Auston displayed evident excitement.

However, at that moment, he noticed the fading smile on Wentworth's face and heard him say, "Now that we've figured out what happened, it's time for us to start preparing for action! Auston, write to Carrow and tell her to kick it up a notch and make it messier. Grandma Rosier, handle the rest; it's up to you now!"

The two quickly nodded in agreement, and even Rosier was no exception.

Upon Bill's return to the Burrow, the Weasleys were anxiously waiting for their eldest son. Relieved to see him return safely, the Weasleys collectively sighed.

After ensuring Bill's well-being, Mrs. Weasley patted her chest and exclaimed, "Thank goodness you've come back safely! This matter is over. In the future, we have to stay away from the Alliance. It's really problematic! By the way, I need to remind Ron and the others to keep away from Wentworth while they're at Hogwarts."

However, as Mrs. Weasley finished speaking, both Bill and his husband, Arthur, simultaneously exclaimed, "No!"

Their voices resonated almost simultaneously, causing the two to exchange glances.

Arthur then explained, "There's no need to inform Ron and the others about this matter. Our son is not the type to hide his thoughts well or keep secrets. If he learns this news, he'll inevitably leak it out. It might offend the Alliance; imagine what they will do to him!"

Upon hearing his father's words, Bill hastily concurred, "That's right, father is right, mother. I, too, want the best for Ron, but telling him about the Alliance is not going to keep him safe!"

When her husband and eldest son expressed their opinions, Mrs. Weasley abandoned her initial plan.

At that moment, Bill retrieved the small cloth bag given to him by Auston from his belongings and handed it to Mrs. Weasley.

As Mrs. Weasley opened the bag and found another stack of Galleons inside, her expression brightened. She exclaimed, "The Alliance is so wealthy! If only the Ministry of Magic could be as generous as the Alliance!"

Initially, Bill had anticipated that the Alliance would promptly initiate a rescue operation upon receiving the news.

However, to his surprise, several days passed, and there was not a single sign of the Alliance, even in Diagon Alley, let alone Gringotts. It seemed as if the Alliance had left no trace at all.

Contrary to Bill's expectations, he discovered from the reports in the Daily Prophet that there had been recent Alliance activities in various locations across the UK.

The frequent appearance of the Deathly Hallows logo has even drawn the attention of the Ministry of Magic and the International Confederation of Wizards in other countries.

While the Deathly Hallows logo had sporadically surfaced worldwide in the past, it had been confirmed that the vast majority of these instances were impostors pretending to be Alliance.

However, since the Battle of the British Ministry of Magic erupted in London two years ago, very few individuals dared to engage in such activities.

After all, if caught by the British Ministry of Magic for any unlawful activities, the best-case scenario would involve imprisonment in Azkaban.

Yet, some might even consider Azkaban a preferable outcome if apprehended for impersonating the Alliance.

A few days later, a guest arrived at the Weasley residence—none other than Harry, who had been rescued from Privet Drive by Ron and his two older brothers, George and Fred.

The presence of Harry brought vibrancy back to the Burrow, signaling the imminent start of the Hogwarts term.

On this particular day, the Weasley family gathered early in a modest restaurant on the first floor.

After breakfast, they planned to head to Diagon Alley to procure supplies for the upcoming school year.

Despite the recent fortune the Weasley family acquired, Mrs. Weasley sighed and decided to be frugal where possible upon observing the numerous children before her.

Meanwhile, Arthur returned from the Ministry of Magic, prepared to accompany his children to Diagon Alley.

As Mrs. Weasley served Arthur's breakfast, he suddenly remarked, "I don't know what's been happening lately, but it seems the entire Magic Law Enforcement Department is in disarray, especially the Auror Command. There seems to be a shortage of Aurors!"

He continued, "I encountered Rufus Scrimgeour leaving with someone this morning. Upon inquiry, I discovered that Rufus had to undertake a mission due to the lack of Aurors personally!"

Upon hearing her husband's words, Mrs. Weasley responded nonchalantly, "Maybe it's because there has been some unrest in various places recently, and I don't know what the Alliance thinks to make such a big move."

Maintaining discretion about Harry's presence and keeping the information from their other children, the Weasleys and Bill exchanged a few knowing glances, silently acknowledging the matter.

Simultaneously, in the Greenglass family's manor, Wentworth and others were also having breakfast.

Auston approached, holding a note, and informed Wentworth, "Master, your foresight was correct. Most of the Aurors in London have been dispatched to various locations. Additionally, we received news this morning that Rufus from the Auror Command had to go out on an execution mission personally and is currently heading to Scotland."
