The sun shined down through the blinds making the unorganized room with piles of books and papers scattered around bright and warm, in one corner of the room in a mess of covers a form can be seen moving around and grunts of discomfort can be heard through it.
"ugh! who the hell turned the lights on?" a masculine voice said while a human could be seen leaving the covers, he then yawned and got up going to a little cabinet in the left side of the room, taking a sip of water from a thermo bottle and taking a look in the mirror over the cabinet the man once again marveled his appearence, a tall and fit body of someone who does light exercises daily, with short brown hair and blue eyes.
"it's been eight years already and i still have trouble believing" the man murmured to himself.
i can still remember the day i woke up here, i was at my room watching some vtuber play nikke for the first time and then *boom* i was here. even through my body changed i still keept my name, or at least a version of it, Natan to Nathan is not so big of a jump afterall.
"well! time to work!" Nathan jumps lightly on his feet and goes to the bathroom to start his day.
2 hours later
After taking care of the morning necessities nathan walked to another room in his house, inside it tehre was a simple desk with a laptop conected to a keybord, mouse and monitor.
now that i had enough money to live for some months i can finally start it. Nathan through about it while sitting down and turning everything on. "it is time to bring real meaning to this world games" he said feeling a grin growing on his face, he couldn't help but remind himself of the feelings he had when he first got his hands on games in his new life.
After a week of acclimating to his new life Nathan could feel that this world was really strange, the year was 3000 of the new cicle (every cicle ends every 10000) and he was just 10 years old, living in a orphanage was a really tough thing since he was used to have a family but it allowed him to learn some truths about this world, like the fact that elfs, dwarfs and ferals (they called themselves that), existed trully brought the isekai genre to his mind, but instead of a medieval world it was a modernish one, at the same time that technology evolved super fast, thanks to the junction of the races, the cultural development didn't follow it, so there was enough tech to make movies, music and games that would blow people minds but it was no being used to it's full potential.
Even through the races were at peace and working with each other in a technical level, at a cultural one things were still starting to come toguether, music and movies were made from a race to a race, other races were allowed to watch of course but there still was a divide, it didn't matter that you liked the movie, there was no imersion in it.
So where were video games in the equation? well they weren't or at least not the way nathan knew it, video games were not developed to bring fun, they were made to get money. Now you are problably thinking "that is waht games are made for dummy" and i would concur, but games here are based in guns, arrows and swords. That is it, all of it, the only difference between one game and the other is the style of the weapons, the story? you might ask, that is a footnote on the bottom of the screen telling who was the owner of the weapon, mechanic? click and shoot, some companies are starting to launch games with movement but it is still pretty crunky.
That was what Nathan saw and felt when playing for the first time dragons and arrows a game where you have to shoot arrows in a dragon, at first it was "fun", at first it have the feeling of happines waiting to blossom, but it never blossomed, there was no *boom*, no reason to continue. Nathan then looked for other games, and found a many and at the same time so few, all with similar premises and diferent or the same weapons. After looking some more into the industry nathan learned the hard truth.
"this world is still in the inicial stages of game development and from the looks of it someone need to come and show it the way" Nathan said in a firm tone, firming his resolve for the future.
Present time - year 3008
Plenty of things changed during this eight years, nathan turned 18 years old and the game industry evolved, but not in a way he liked, games were going the same direction of the movies, elfs making games that only elfs would understand and enjoy. dwarfs, ferals and humans doing the same. where was the sense of community? there were entire building blocks that were composed of diferent races, entire neighborhoods with varied people, so why was the entertainment industry so closed up? where was the fun?!!.
"today is the day that i will start to bring change to this world, i will create a place where everyone can have fun, experience new feelings, make new friends independent of race and find new ways of living, that was the power of games in my last life and i will die trying to do it here!" with firm resolve cursing through his entire body Nathan clicked on a folder named
"Subnautica"
one thing that i didn't like about this type of novels was that the mc competitors were dumb as fuck, so here i will try to really make competition, they will see what the mc is doing and aprecciate it instead of hating it, there will be reasons in the future chapters for why everything is the way it is.
that is my first time writing in english so i will appreciate any help and tips. that is also why it will take a while to launch chapters, i will do my best.
