Fat Ego

Liam was a little relieved when he was given the task of cutting out some words from a piece of cardboard. He and Oliver sat on their own away from the crowd and got busy. 

"You are doing a good job." Oliver said in an encouraging tone that caused Liam to roll his eyes.

He was glad to have brought Oliver with him. He would have lost his shit several times already. 

"You're saying that, but I know you are pissed at me." Liam said without looking at him. 

"I am not. It is normal for you to be angry." Oliver replied with a light shrug. 

"How are you so comfortable with all this?" Liam asked curiously. 

Oliver's eyes went round as he stared at the people who were comfortable and happy as they went about their own thing.

"Not... everyone... is homophobic." He answered quietly and looked down at his cardboard to cut out the remaining letters from it.
