Falling for the wrong guys

"Look out!" 

Oliver heard Amanda's voice call out to him, but he was too slow to do anything as he watched the ball coming directly at him. He was never a sporty person, so his reflexes were also very slow, and he had resigned to his fate that the ball was going to ruin his face. 

But surprisingly, he didn't feel it happen. Instead, someone pulled him out of the way, causing him to smash into a hard wall. 

It took a few seconds to return to consciousness, and he realized his eyes were also shut. He opened his eyes and was a bit confused at first when he realized his body hadn't hit a wall but another body.

"That was close." The person let go of his hand and reduced the closeness between them so they could look at each other properly.
