Facing The Ex
Ziggy stared at himself in the bathroom mirror, gripping the sides of the sink as if it were the only thing keeping him upright. His beard was freshly trimmed, the edges sharp enough to cut glass. It was good. Too good.
But it wasn't enough.
He glanced at the scissors sitting next to his sink, then up at his reflection. His hair, long and wavy, cascaded past his shoulders. It had been his signature look for years, requested specifically by a certain ex-girlfriend who once said he looked like a "modern-day Viking." It suited him, or at least it used to.
Now? Now it was a reminder of something he needed to leave behind.
