CHAPTER FIVE:TWO MONTHS AGO 2

"May I have your attention ladies and gentlemen?" All the guests turned their attention to the man dressed in a tailored suit. "Greetings to you all, we all know this is an event to launch one of the Yu's company here in Africa. Without further delay, let's invit..."

"Mam there is someone looking for you." One of the workers at the event informed me. "Who is it?" I asked calmly. I was hoping it Wasn't Irene.

"She said her name is Maria." Maria? I thought she was not coming to this event. But neverless I was happy she was able to make it.

"Um, can you please show me where she is?" I asked the lady calmly. "Sure. She's in the garden. Go straight from here and turn left once you get to the second balcony." I showed appreciation to the lady and made my way to the direction she showed me.I couldn't wait to get out of this place with all these rich kids gazing at me flirtatiously. Maria could keep me company.

I almost tripped after getting to the first balcony due to the high heels which Maria has sent for me. I overheard Irene conversing with a good looking guy while trying to catch my breathe, the hotel was too big.I almost got lost.

" I want you to do your job very well, I'll pay you the rest when he job is done".

" Who is Irene talking to and what job does she have for him". I thought to myself... I hope she's not up to something bad.

Something was alarming me to be careful .Right now all I want to be is to get to Maria, as long as am with her, I'll be safer. I hurried forward. I turned left after getting to the balcony.

It's been five minutes since I arrived at the balcony. I already searched the whole garden but there was sign of her. I decided to wait for sometime but I'm running out of patient right now. I decided to go back but before I could turn around, someone grabbed me from behind and covered my nose with a white material. I struggled for air but what I smelt was something strong and intoxicating. At that moment I wished I was dead. I opened my eyes with great difficulty.

My vision was blurred and the room was dim. I forced my eyes to have the clear view of where I was. To my dismay, the light was turned on and I tightly shut my eyes from the bright light.I managed to finally open my eyes just to see the man I saw earlier on with Irene, having over me.

I shrieked back to see him getting closer to me."Get away from me. Who are you" I asked as I panicked for my life.

what is the he going to do to me. Kill me? but I don't even know him.

" Don't panick pretty girl, you would like what I'm going to do to you". He said while taking off his clothes.

What does he mean by that?.
