CHAPTER FIFTEEN

What is she? A sixteen year old?

Moving to a new whole environment is not always an easy task for anyone, not to talk of Lydia. This is another world to her. She has to adapt to the way of life of people in this new place. This place is nothing like where she came from. Their way of dressing, their language and their culture are all different from hers. She was even more worried for her children. Neverless, She was quick to adapt.

'Haa, the environment is so nice with all these many lights. What a pity that I can't see any star in view with so many artificial lights'

Lydia was walking home enjoying the beautiful scene around her. This place is always busy with people here and there. This has been her daily routine since she came to country K in Asia.Go to work and come back home early for her cuties. She usually take the public transportation when she is late.

For the second time in life,she has made the right choice by completing her education.

"Hahahaa, look at how difficult it is to find a job even with a good educational result and my sharp brain, then how hard could it be if I hadn't completed my education. Thanks to Mama Zimbi's advice. I'll have to call her when I get back home."

"Hey, Lydia you're back. How was your day?

"Hii Maria, yes I'm back, as usual it was hell. They still don't trust me with the cooking. How am I suppose to prove to them my ability to cook magic if they're not giving me the chance." She said with a frown on her face.

" Come on Lydia, you need to understand them. You don't know their way of life not to talk about preparing their dishes, how can they trust you with their local dishes, huh? It will take time okay? Besides I don't know how you made your way into that five star restaurant. It's not an easy task for just anyone.

"Are you doubting my capabilities? Lydia asked with a question look on her face. Was she offended?

Maria sticked out her tongue at Lydia playfully. It's always fun to tease Lydia. Look at her adorable flushed face.

With her index finger on her cheeks, she seems to be wondering. "Hmm, Maria why am I worrying too much when I want to be an accountant? I'm still looking for a job, I won't stay in that restaurant for long anyway hahaha...

"Lydia, how many jobs do you want to have. Have you already changed your mind about being an event organiser? You're unbelievable." She's unpredictable, Tsk.

"No way. I can still do that when the opportunity presents itself. You know, I just want to do things that can make me a whole new person, things that pleases me. Haven't you noticed the slight change in me huh? I can express myself freely, just like what I'm doing right now." She said proudly.

Her facial expression suddenly changed from proud to worry. "Maria, I can only do that with you around. When I'm with strangers, I'm always umm, What's the right word, stiff! More like an introvert. Maria please help me. Waaa..." She burst into crocodile tears.

"Alright, alright. Just lower your voice the boys are sleeping."

"Oh no! I forgot about my life. Have they eaten? " She asked with remorse.

"Calm down, they've had their dinner. Now let me tell you something, your behaviour is changing because you have left the place that reminds you of your unpleasant life okay? There is nothing to think about. Start a new life with your children and, maybe you can even get a boyfriend that can flutter your heart.

"you, yo..., will you stop talking about boy....boyfriend, it's really embarrassing you're so shameless. Good night." She stood up ready to leave.

"Where are you going? You haven't eaten" Maria pointed out the obvious.

"I'm off to bed, you can sit there and dream about your boyfrie...whatever "

"What is she? A sixteen year old? Hahahaa, I'll have to work her on that, hehe. Good night sweetie pie!"
