You can see them, right?

...

Shun has been able to see spirits as long as he could remember. No, it wasn't a gifted inheritance. As far as he knew his lineage never did have this gift.

As a kid, he used to converse with the spirits but he soon started to maintain his distance. The only one who knew about this was Mei.

Shun always thought that only he could see them. Imagine his surprise when he saw the dark haired supposedly weird kid talking to one during the joint PE class. It was also one of the reasons why he wanted to talk to him.

Aito stood stunned. Had he heard correctly?

"I don't know what your talking about..." He denied.

"I saw you the other day..." Shun said taking steps towards Aito. "...You were talking to her, the spirit who wears a kimono and roams around the school." He was now standing infront of Aito.

They stood infront of each other with locked gazes until Aito moved back. "You can see them too?..."

Shun nodded. "Since when?" Aito asked.

"For as long as I can remember."

"Is it in your lineage or something?" Aito inquired. 'Is is he just like me?'

"Not that I know of." Shun replied.

"Oh...ok." Aito breathed out. He seemed unable to process what had happened just now. It was a bit much for him to take in. Hearing the bell, he slowly shuffled backwards. "I should get to class." He said taking off before Shun could comprehend.

"Huh? Did he just run?" Shun mumbled staring at the door, now wide opened.
