'CRACK!!!'[1]

The door completely flew off its hinges as it landed 5 feet away from its original position and the loud boom caused by the fallen door can be heard throughout the hallway.

'SMASH!!!'

The sound alerted Shangguan Xing of an intruder. He quickly turned around and saw Callum standing there.

He was curious when he saw Callum but he soon realized that he was still in the Du Mansion.

"Fuck!" Shangguan Xing cursed as he quickly scrambled off the bed. He ran to the balcony and tried to climb out.

When he saw the scene, with Shangguan Xing pressing a pillow above a woman who was obviously struggling to breath, Callum's mind went blank. There was nothing he hated more than an abusive man!

He had been smoking at the balcony of his room which was located on the second floor and immediately above of the guest room, when he heard someone yelled.

It was faint but he was sure that he heard it. Even though he thought of it as impossible, decided to come down to have a look. After all, it was better to be wrong than to be sorry.

Sure enough, he heard it again when he was on the hallway. Someone was getting hurt in his beloved Du Mansion.

Without thinking much, he followed the faint sound and when he was sure he got the room, he kicked the door down without any reservation.

He rushed over and dragged Shangguan Xing back into the room. When the latter tried to run for the door, he caught him and kicked his leg so hard that a loud crack was heard.

Shangguan Xing yelled out as he held onto his broken leg.

Callum did not give him much resting time as he knocked Shangguan Xing out cold with a well-aimed punch.

Kai Xin managed to shake off the pillow and she gasped for air.

The wheezing noise caused Callum to look up and when he did, he saw Kai Xin's naked and bruised body, and his body tensed up. He had not expected to see her.

His throat dried up and despite speaking five languages, he found himself to be at loss for words.

"Get out."

Callum shivered and froze on the spot when he heard the unnaturally cold deep growl. He turned and saw a furious demon standing right behind him.

DX had arrived shortly after he heard the loud slam and the first thing he saw when he entered the room was Callum staring at Kai Xin's naked body and lying on the floor next to him was an unconscious and naked man.

Within one second, he solved the puzzle.

Grabbing Callum's collar, he threw him out of the door towards the guards who quickly catch their boss.

Using his arm as a leverage, he threw Shangguan Xing right out the door. Unlike earlier, the guards merely stood aside and watched the body bounced off the floor.

He ordered the guards to stay outside the room with their back facing the door.

He would not risk it. No one else were allowed to see her.

He then rushed towards her and when he saw her bruised face, he felt so angry that he started thinking of ways to dispose a body.

It was only when he heard the scrappy sound of metal scratching against metal that he finally realized that she was handcuffed to the bed.

He rummaged through Shangguan Xing's pants pocket and when he found the key, he quickly unlocked the cuffs.

As he massaged her bruised wrists, he shook his head at his own impotency. How could he be so careless! He should have filled the house with guards!

When he saw Kai Xin's eyes that were filled with fear, his heart ached. He had never seen her in such a state before.

He tried to touch her, but she pushed his hands away and started crying for help.

She had this fearful gaze that told him that she did not recognize him. It was a look that he never wanted to see again.

As she tried to crawl away from him, she cried, "Get off me! Don't touch me! Help! Someone please help me..."
