President Du's Birthday Party (12)

DX walked towards her and gave her a bow. He extended his hand out to her, "It would be my pleasure to dance with you, Young Master K."

Picking up the cue, Old Mo nodded towards the band who started playing "Just a Kiss by Lady Antebellum".

DX took Kai Xin by the hand and led her to the dance area. They both got into position as they danced to the song.

"How did you managed to do it?" DX asked as he looked down at her.

Kai Xin chuckled, "It wasn't easy. First, I had to lower her guard. Song Qiao is really good at Wei Qi and under normal circumstances, I would have lost. So, I can only play dirty."

When he laughed, she continued, "Remember how you used to be so annoyed with me constantly click-clacking the mechanical pencil whenever I was bored? Well...I realized that she must be the same. After all, she was raised the same type of world as you. Things like shaking one's legs and coughing loudly would be considered rude and uncouth. All I had to do was to be as boorish as possible and annoy the hell out of her and hopefully, she would make a mistake."

DX laughed as he twirled her around, "Such an underhanded tactic…"

"By the way, DX… About my wish…"

He unconsciously lowered his hand that was at her waist to the small of her back and pulled her closer as he asked in a low voice, "What do you want?"

"I want you to dance with Naomi Nakamura."

She glanced up and noticed that DX had a disappointed look on his face. She thought to herself as she analysed his face, "No way...Was that a pout?"

It was fleeting but he definitely pouted.

When Kai Xin realized that there was a dance scheduled at the end of the party, she was really happy because this means that she gets to have a dance with him as well.

Of course, she could just ask for a dance whenever she wanted but it was not the same. If it was in the previous years, she would not have care much about it. However, since she decided to attend, she refused to let anyone else have the first dance with him.

When she saw DX with his brow raised questioningly, she quickly added, "I can't help it! I promised her!"

He sighed. Both of the most important women in his life seemed to have no problem 'pimping' him out. He had thought she would use the wish to do something to him...Preferably on the bed...

"Fine. Just one dance."

Just as the song was about to end, Kai Xin looked up at DX and whispered, "One other thing…"

"What oth-?"

She tiptoed and cut his reply off with a kiss on the lips. It was supposed to be a light peck. She wanted to create a little commotion for him. However, even though he was stunned for a second, he recovered quickly. When she tried to pull away, he refused to let her back away and caught her lips to kiss her back. Hard.

When they finally pulled apart, they can hear glasses being dropped and sharp breaths. Old Madam Du looked as if she had just seen the most horrendous thing ever.

Blushing, Kai Xin told him to do what he promised and left him to deal with the ensuing chaos and stares while she quickly slipped back into the house.
