Chapter 8: Petals Can Fly Higher Than Trees

A gentle breeze blew in from the window refreshing the atmosphere. Yuki's hair fluttered gently and so did his clothes, the reflection of his opponent could be seen in his dark blue eyes.

Captain Sora stood in-between the two fighters and acted as the referee. School hours were already over which meant all the teachers had gone home and there was no one to act as the referee, which was why Captain Sora did.

'I wonder why this guy is bald at such a young age, his head looks like an egg. And it's too bright.'

Yuki thought as he stared at the bald head of his opponent, the light bounced of his bald head and was affecting Yuki's vision.

"Fight!"

Captain Sora shouted with a loud voice.

Yuki's opponent was about to move when Yuki arrived infront of him with his right arm arching backwards.

'Dang it!!! This guy is too fast, I didn't even see him move.'

Yuki's opponent was facing a mental crisis. Yuki threw his punch at his opponent's face.

Bang!

The punch was successfully landed. Yuki's opponent was sent flying of the mat with blood gushing out of his nostrils. He landed on the floor not too far away from the mat, drops of his blood stained the yellow mat Yuki was standing on.

The entire audience except Derek had their mouths wide open as they stared back and forth between Yuki and the bald guy lying unconscious on the ground with a bloody face.

Yuki's fist was covered in the blood of his opponent.

"That's unbelievable!"

"The fight ended without anyone using their kizo."

"What kind of training did he go through to make his punch so strong?"

The audience started talking among themselves. While Yuki walked off the mat and began to clean his bloody fist with a napkin that Tamiko handed him.

"Yuki. You have to join the kizo fight club, you have such a strong body and you need to use it."

Captain Sora tried her best to convince him.

"No thanks. Don't worry Captain Sora I'll join if I change mind."

Yuki said while walking out with Tamiko and Derek. Captain Sora watched his back as he walked away.

'I will make you join my club Yuki'

Captain Sora thought as she looked at the unconscious bald guy who the other members were helping. One final thought popped into her head.

'I will do everything to become your friend.'

Her black eyes were filled with determination and her beautiful face was coated with focus as Yuki's figure flashed in her mind.

Meanwhile the trio had already left the school and we're inside a small store.

Yuki and Tamiko were walking behind Derek who was leading the around the store.

"Umm... Yuki, don't you think it's dangerous to excessively use your ki, especially since your body can't produce much of it."

Tamiko said as she turned to face Yuki. Her dark blue eyes watched his face.

"Don't worry, I didn't use any ki when I fought that guy."

Yuki said before turning his face and smiling at her. Her dark blue eyes met with his which were also dark blue. She immediately looked away when their eyes met.

"Oh, do you know anything about Captain Sora?"

Tamiko squinted her eyes at Yuki before answering. "She is the second strongest fighter in the kizo fight club, her kizo and is of the natural concept. She aims to become the strongest in the entire school. Other than that I now nothing about her."

"Hmmm.... Well what about you? I've known you for the past few days but we haven't talked." Yuki said while looking at Derek who was busy taking the items he wanted to the queue.

"Y..Y..You want to talk about me?" She asked curiously.

"Sure, why not? You're my friend, don't you think friends should know things about each other." Yuki answered with a shrug.

"Well.... I live with my parents not too far from our school, we're not rich but we make due with what we have. My father works at a bank while my mom just does side jobs. I'm the only kizo user in the family and the only child of my parents." She said.

"Well, I'm sure one day you will make your parent's proud." Yuki had no idea of what to say so he just went with that.

Derek was already done, and they were currently outside the store. Derek threw a bag of potato chips at Yuki who caught it with ease.

"That's your reward for winning that fight with one punch." Derek said with a smile.

"Wipe that smile of your face!!!! You call this tiny pack a reward!!!!" Yuki shouted while holding up the bag of potato chips, it was the size of a babies palm.

"I said I would get you a bag of potato chips and there it is."

"It's so small!!! Did you even spend money on this!!!" Yuki yelled again.

"Goodbye, I'll see you tomorrow." Derek said while walking away.

Tamiko followed behind him because they lived in the same street while Yuki lived in the opposite direction.

"Wait!!! Both of you are walking away with me feeling hungry and all you leave with me is a tiny bag of potato chips!!!"

Yuki kept telling until they took a turn on the left.

'I think I need new friends.'

Yuki thought before strolling home.

Meanwhile in an unknown building a group of men gathered in a room dimly lit with red lights. They all stood and looked at the man who sat like a king on a throne infront of them. He had a scar stretching across his face and wore sunglasses, he had a ruthless look on his face.

"Sir, here's the name of kids who attend Empirial college." One of the men said before handing a tablet to the man who wore sunglasses.

He scrolled down the screen of the tablet which displayed names of the students. He kept scrolling until his eyes landed on a particular name. He smiled revealing a mouth full of silver canine like teeth, then he called the name out loud.

"Yuki Kinatarou."

"Tomorrow we shall raid the school." He said with a loud voice.

"Yes Sir!!!"

The men standing infront of him shouted.

Yuki got home later that day, went to work until late before returning home. He did his regular body excersise and went to sleep.

The next morning he got ready and left for school. Unlike other days he today was boring and went by quickly, it was already the last class of the day.

The teacher was teaching on kizo users.

"There are different levels of power that kizo users have." The teacher said as he wrote the levels down on the white board.

Saint - Highest level

Fero

Emperor

Lord

Duke

Knight

Hatamoto

Goshi

Gokenin - Lowest level

Currently Yuki was at the Gokenin level which was the lowest, Derek was currently at Hatamoto level which was pretty strong for his age while Tamiko was at the Goshi level.

The male teacher went on.

"Those at the Goshi level and upward are always recognized in the society. I've never seen someone at the Gokenin level before, because it's rare for someone to be so weak and worthless."

'Wait, is he insulting the weak students.'

Yuki was confused by the teachers statement.

"Those at the Gokenin level are nothing but trash. They don't deserve to be in the world of the strong, they are nothing but small petals among large trees. They cannot become anything in a world where the strong are on top." The teacher was incredibly arrogant just because he had gotten to the Hatamoto level.

The teacher's final statement angered Yuki.

"I disagree!" Yuki got up and shouted. "I don't think that those at the lowest level can't become anything in this world. Everyone can do anything as long as they set their mind to it."

"Aren't you one of the people at the lowest level, your opinion means nothing to me. Just like I said, you are nothing but a small petal among large trees. Even those who are not kizo users have more worth than you." The teacher said.

"Don't you know that small petals can fly higher than large trees." Yuki said with determination in his eyes. "You are a teacher. You are supposed to encourage us to become stronger, but here you are insulting the weak just because of your power level. You are a disgrace as a teacher."

The teacher and all the students stared at Yuki in shock. The teacher was angered and he spoke. "Because of your stupidity, you will clean all the toilets and mop all the floors in this school once the school hours end!"

'This guy stood up for us weaklings and yet he is going to face punishment alone. I will stand by him.' One of the students who was also at the Gokenin level thought before standing up and saying. "He is right, you should support us instead of discouraging us you are truly a disgrace."

"You and whoever supports Yuki will suffer the same punishment as him." The teacher said with a calm voice.
