The Fight for the Treasure 8

Seika POV - Blue Star, Grand Line, Nanatsu Islands(Fu) - 20 GAP 

Hearing Din's answer, Eldoraggo exclaims, "What the hell! Then we wasted all this time for nothing!! The only treasure worth something is gold! Gem, diamonds, ancient hidden knowledge, all of that is only useless trash! Trash! The only thing that the Eldoraggo Pirates value is only gold! Gold is the only true treasure worth searching for! Let's go, guys! There is nothing we desire on the Nanatsu Island!" 

In response to that, all the men of the Eldoraggo Pirates quickly curse out loud or let out some disappointed sighs, then in perfect sync, they all turn around and start to head back as Eldoraggo leads them and curses out loud, "Dammit! When I heard that there was an incredible treasure hidden on the Nanatsu Islands I thought that we would find mountains of precious, beautiful, shining gold! In the end, it was all a dud!" 

Then Eldoraggo suddenly stops and raises his head and facing the sky, he opens his mouth very wide showing his sharp teeth, and yells at the top of his lugs letting out all his anger and frustration for the current situation, "FUUUUUUUUCK!!!" 

But surprisingly from his mouth a thick energy beam comes out which soars up toward the sky at a very fast speed, at the same time, I can clearly sense that within that energy beam, there is enough power to easily destroy a big boulder.

Eldoraggo's reaction to the information that there isn't any gold hidden in the ruins of the Nanatsu Islands surprises both me and the man from the Simon Pirates who called himself "Blue-Winged" Din who remains stunned in place unable to react to the sudden change.

At the same time, one of the men from the trio Danny, Denny, and Donny, who was scouting ahead, the one with purple hair tied in a short ponytail at the top of his head, and a prominent nose, let out a loud whistle and comment, "Denny, Donny, Golass did you see that? Captain Eldoraggo is so angry that he lost control over his Goe Goe no Mi (Voice Voice Fruit)!"

The big native american looking man simply nods silently, as he looks just as annoyed about the absence of gold as his captain, meanwhile, the man with black fuzzy hair, a goatee of the same color, and a square face with a somewhat big nose also agrees and says, "That's true, Danny! You can see just how angry he is by the size of his beam of concentrated sound!"

Then the man with short pink hair that is parted to the sides, revealing his forehead also adds, "You can't exactly blame him. You all know just how much Captain Eldoraggo loves gold! He is extremely greedy and obsessively loves gold to the point that from time to time you can see him affectionately rubbing his cheeks against it. His love is so strong that makes him reject other treasures such as gems and diamonds as simple useless rocks!!"

Just just as they resume walking back toward their ship, Din suddenly commands, "Simurgh! Let's attack them!!" in response, the big teal bird lets out a cry and it acknowledges his master's order, flaps its wings as it quickly flies up in the sky carrying Din with it, who pulls out a pair of double-barrel pistols as he starts to quickly shoot at the members of the Eldoraggo Pirates with pinpoint accuracy taking out first the people armed with a long-range weapon such as pistols and rifles quickly bringing down the number of the Eldoraggo Pirates to half.

Seeing that, I remain stunned on the spot unable to react, 'Eh? Wait! What? Why!? They had no intention of fighting for the treasure, so why attack them now!?' moreover, I'm also confused about what I should do now, 'Should I stay still and let them kill each other, after all, Eldoraggo and his pirate crew aren't good people, they did treat the people of the village badly to learn the location of the Futate Ruins and did threaten them... But should I truly continue to watch as they get massacred like that?'

While I'm thinking that, the bird Simurgh starts to fly away in a random pattern to make it more difficult for Eldoraggo and his remaining men to take aim and retaliate as Din reloads his pistols.

Meanwhile, I continue to watch in confusion as the three scouts, Danny, Denny, and Donny, who were able to luckily avoid a fatal shot from the first volley of bullets shot by Din quickly take cover behind some nearby rocks and tree as they hold their wounds to somewhat block the blood from flowing, while the big native american looking one, who I think is called Golass, pulls out his equally big sword as he warily looks at Din and his bird Simurgh flying up in the sky as he is unable to do anything.

At the same time, the only member of the Eldoraggo Pirates still able to fight who is armed with a rifle is randomly shooting at the bird-man pair, but all of his shoot are missing, while an enraged Eldoraggo shouts, "You... BASTARD!!" releasing another beam of concentrated sound which is also easily avoided by Din and Simurgh.

Looking at this scene, I can't help but be impressed by Din's tactics, 'Using Simurgh's strength, speed and agility to fly and shoot from a higher ground while at the same time maintain distance from the close-range fighters and avoid the long-range attack, he is clearly using his aerial advantage to the fullest. It is a very sound tactic, but that will only take him so far, after all, I saw Jayr fight against Mihawk, and that man would easily be able to cut Din and Simurgh in half no matter how far he tries to stay from him, his sword is just that much faster than Simurgh.'

While I'm thinking that, Din, who finished reloading his pistols, once again sweeps down and releases another volley of bullets, which brings down the last of Eldoraggo's men armed with a rifle and also seriously wounds Golass who was only able to deflect a couple of bullets before being hit and is now unable to fight while Eldoraggo is able to defend himself using the golden shoulder pads as a shield to block the bullets.

At the same time, Eldoraggo asks, "You bastard! Why are you attacking us!? We don't desire that fucking useless gem you are searching for!!" making Din laughs as he replies, "Hehehe! That has nothing to do with that you fool! I would have easily let you go if you didn't show me your Devil Fruit ability! But now that I know that you are a Devil Fruit User, I can't do that anymore as Simon-sama ordered me to capture any Devil Fruit User I encounter! Too bad for you!! Now if you don't want the rest of your men to die, it is better that you peacefully come with me."

After yelling that, Din once again raises his two pistols and shoots at Eldoraggo once again, who yells back, "I don't care what happens to them! They all knew the dangers when they chose to follow me!!"

Despite his size, Eldoraggo is still quite agile and is able to dodge most of the bullets and parry those he can't by using his golden shoulder pads while also being able to counterattack with another beam of concentrated sound, but it is clear that it is only a matter of time before Din is able to land a hit.

While Din and Eldoraggo continue their exchange of bullets and beams, I take a deep breath and take a closer look at the battlefield, and, more importantly, at the members of the Eldoraggo Pirates, 'Most of them were killed on the spot and there is no way to save them, all of Din's shots were fatal and killed them on the spot... meanwhile, Danny, Denny, and Donny's situations aren't all that bad, they only got shot in non-vital points like the shoulders and the knees, while they are losing blood, from what I can see from their blood flow their situation isn't actually too dangerous as no major blood vessel was hit, in fact, even without any medical care they can survive hours and even days like that, and that without considering the stronger vitality of the people living in this world, in fact, I'm pretty sure that if the bullet isn't stuck in their body, they can pretty much heal from that kind of wound in a matter of days even if the simply stop the blood with a bandage.'

Then my gaze moves to the big native american-looking man named Golass as he lies on the ground massively bleeding from a small wound on his stomach, 'His state is more critical, he is bleeding way too much, no matter how strong his vitality his, that is way too much, if left untreated he will die in a matter of minutes.'

Seeing that, I finally make up my mind, 'Even if they are evil pirates, I just can't let them die like that! Not when I can do something about it! Of course, that also doesn't mean that I'll simply forgive them for the evil they have done! After saving their lives, I will still make sure that they will pay for the crime and won't be able to harm anyone else! After all, they are true pirates!'

Having resolved myself, I don't hesitate any more and step forward while yelling, "Stop fighting right at this instant, or I'll make you stop!" but both Eldoraggo and Din look at me for a second, then Eldoraggo says, "Don't butt in your head in matters that don't concern you, girl." followed by Din who politely adds, "That's right, you will only end up hurting yourself. Get away from here before it is too late."

Seeing both of them ignore my warning and resume fighting, I simply shake my head before I start to gather my Spiral Cosmo and say, "Thank you for your kind intention, but I have to refuse them. It is time to finally put an end to this farce. The people of the Nanatsu Islands have already suffered too much from the chaos caused by that guy called Simon and the other pirates. As I'm talking the situation on the other islands is already returning to normal as my family is taking care of the problem. Moreover, my boyfriend is heading to Mu Island as we speak and will surely bring that Simon guy down once of for all."

Hearing that, Din focus on me once more and mockingly says, "That's a good one, bitch! There is no way that fucking loser of your boyfriend would even be able to touch the hair of Simon-sama! He is a superior being who will finally bring peace to this world once he becomes its king!"

At the same time, Eldoraggo tries to take advantage of his distraction to hit him with one of his beams of concentrated sound, but Simurgh, the one who actually takes care of the movement, is still careful and easily dodges the beam, which brings Din's attention back on him, as he once again fires at him with his pistols, but Eldoraggo is once again able to dodge the attack.

I simply smile and fully confident in Jayr's abilities, I say, "I wouldn't be so sure of that if I was in your place, Simon is simply a clown way over his head for the simple fact that he ate a Logia Type Devil Fruit and thinks of himself as a god-like being while not knowing just how big truly is this world. Just like you two are..."

After saying that, I burn my Spiral Cosmo and make it explode, making its energy course through my body to enhance it, then I quickly run toward Eldoraggo, and before he can react, I punch him in the stomach with enough power to take him out of this fight for good. 

My punch makes Eldoraggo kneel over in pain as he opens his mouth in a silent scream and immediately after that, he shows the white of his eyes and passes out falling on the ground with a dull, heavy thud unable to withstand the pain.

As I look at Eldoraggo's body lying on the ground and make sure that I didn't kill him by mistake by rupturing his stomach, I hear Din from behind me yell, "How dare you bitch insult Simon-sama!? I'll make sure to keep you alive long enough to watch your boyfriend die before the might of Simon-sama as he gets shredded into millions of small little pieces and fed to my birds!!" 

After yelling that, Din rapidly shoots a volley of bullets using his double-barreled pistols, but I turn around and easily use the arms protection of my Cloth to block and deflect all the bullets while thinking in wonder, 'Five years ago I could only powerlessly watch from the distance as Jayr, Seiya and the others fought against Hades while praying for their safety... and now I can easily deflect bullets with little to no effort... It is really a wonder how much one's life can change.'

Then I feel a smile form on my face as I think, 'Well, since that day when Jayr found me 8 years ago and helped me recover my memory and reunite with my brother, my life has been full of ups and down but overall it was a very happy and fulfilling one, and it continues to get better as more and more happy memories get added. I was a little unsure at first of my decision to share him with others, but after some time, I learned the joy of sharing not only the happy moments but also the difficult ones and how to overcome them with their support. I learned to accept and even love them and now my life is a lot better than I have ever dreamed before.' 

While I'm thinking that, Din, who emptied his cartridge, starts to reload his pistols as the teal bird Simurgh flies around and keeps the distance so that his master can calmly complete his action.

But I don't want to waste any more time, as that big native american-looking man named Golass is still profusely bleeding on the ground and needs immediate medical care, so, I burn my Spiral Cosmo until explodes and makes its energy course through my whole body for a few moments, then I gather all the energy on my right fist, and without any hesitation, I throw a punch yelling, "Equuleus Ryu Sei Ken!!" launching hundreds of light energy punches at the same time that look like small meteors which quickly head toward the soaring Din and bird Simurgh, which are way too fast for them to dodge.

The human-bird pair is then swept away by the hundreds of light energy punches that hit them all over their bodies and send them crashing against the rocky wall of a nearby mountain before they powerlessly slide down until they fall on the ground knocked out cold.

Seeing that he isn't a threat anymore, I don't hesitate and rush toward Golass to check his situation, and instantly realize that it is quite bad, as he isn't losing a lot of blood, but the bullet is still stuck in his body.

Realizing that, I first use my Telekinesis to pull out the bullet, then I use my Spiral Cosmo to cauterize both the internal and external wounds by generating a lot of heat to seal them to stop the blood from flowing out while at the same time, disinfecting the wounds to avoid the risk of some infection actually killing him. 

Throughout the whole ordeal, Golass is only able to groan out in pain as the blood loss made him way too weak to do anything else but that.

After doing this, I take a quick look and mutter, "This should be good enough, it is a very rough way to do things, but this is the best I can do without any tools, after all, I'm not Jayr who can basically rebuild a body with a snap of his finger and bring back the dead with little to no effort. Anyway, he will live through this."

Done with that, I also take care of the Danny, Denny, and Donny trio, and by taking care, I mean knock them out and simply dress their wounds, then I make sure that they can't escape by sealing their sense of touch then I move on to check on Din and Simurgh.

Their state is quite bad, not life-threatening, because I obviously held back quite a bit, but quite bad, most of their bones are broken in one way or another, and their internal organs also took quite a beating, luckily nothing ruptured or lethal, but the situation is so bad that even with medical care, they won't be able to get out of the bed for a year or so, well, unless Jayr does something of course.

After giving first aid to everyone, I use my Telekinesis to pick them up and drag them back to the village where they will be detained until the Marines will take care of them.

On my way back to the village, I can't help but think, 'This was a lot easier than I thought. If this is the level of our enemies, I'm pretty sure that Eri and Nikita didn't have any problem either and are already done on their side, I'm only a little worried about Koby-chan, but since Jayr believes that he is able to take care of himself, I will also trust him. Moreover, Koby-chan was able to withstand Jayr's hellish training until now through sheer willpower and dedication, so he isn't someone that can be underestimated.'

Jayr POV - Blue Star, Grand Line, Nanatsu Islands(Mu) - 20 GAP 

After asking Bidi to watch over Seika, I don't delay it anymore and leave the Athena's God Bidoof, heading directly toward Mu Island, the largest of the islands in the archipelago, located in the north-east direction, hoping to finally stop the Simon Pirates from whatever bullshit they are planning as they have already caused too much pain and destruction.

On my way there, I let my mind wander once again regarding the current situation, 'I'm very curious about what is going on on the Nanatsu Islands... why would one cause so much chaos for a treasure, and why lure other pirates here if it is really so precious... It is highly unlikely that this Simon is aiming for something comparable to the Ancient Weapons, the three strongest weapons capable of mass destruction. After all, if he is truly a Champion like me, he should know that there are only three of them, moreover, if he aims for those, it should also be easy for him to find and retrieve them, after all, the blueprints of "Pluton", some kind of world-destroying battleship, are in Franky's hands, but no matter how powerful it is, it can't compare with Athena's God Bidoof. Then regarding the second one, in my previous life there was a theory that "Uranus" was in the hand of the World Government's hand, and considering that I clearly remember that he chose to reincarnate as a World Noble, it should be a lot easier for him to find something about it, but even that I still don't know what expect from it, maybe something about Uranus is hidden here.'

Then my mind moves to the last of the Ancient Weapons, and I can't help but find a smirk forming on my face while thinking, 'And the last one, "Poseidon" is actually the current mermaid princess, the daughter of King Neptune and Queen Otohime, Princess Shirahoshi, but since I brought the real Poseidon from my universe here, I truly don't know what will happen to her ability to communicate with Sea Kings, after all, my uncle-in-law is basically the absolute ruler of the sea.'

While thinking that, I finally reach Mu Island and without any hesitation, I quickly land right in front of the bustling town in the middle of the island and start to ask around about the Simon Pirates, to learn the exact location of their headquarters, but the people living here are too scared of the Simon Pirates' retaliation so they don't tell me anything and just ask me to quickly leave for my and their safety.

But something so simple doesn't stop me, because even if they don't actually tell me anything, I can still learn everything I need with some basic use of my Telepathy to search their memories for the information I need.

Once I learned what I needed from a couple of passersby, I headed directly to the base they built on this island called Fortress of Zahado while thinking, 'Urgh... I don't really like to use my Telepathy like that, it is too much of an invasion of one privacy and sometimes knowing what some people think is truly concerning and disgusting. I truly don't know how people like Charles Xavier can withstand constantly mind-raping everyone they meet, maybe that is why he is bald...' 

After some time, I'm finally standing in front of the Fortress of Zahado, and indeed, the structure in front of me can easily be called a fortress, it has fourteen broad, round towers that surround the main building, and they reach twice the height of the walls and are connected by reinforced, vast walls made of solid stone.

Wide windows are scattered generously across the walls in a seemingly random pattern, along with same-sized holes for both gunners and artillery.

A regular gate with hefty metal doors, a draw bridge, and a moat guards the inhabitants of this island's fortress, it's the only way in, at least to those unfamiliar with the fortress and its surroundings, as it is built right in front of a tall mountain, so I'm pretty sure that there are at least some secret tunnels which function as both an unseen way in and out of the fortress, overall it is an outstanding structure.

Using my senses I feel the presence of around 150 people here, all of them armed and ready to fight at any moment, but not one among them feels even close to the level of power expected by a Champion or even people he could trust like a second in command or officials, which makes me understand that the only people present here are all useless mob characters, and that Simon isn't present and is very likely somewhere else.

Realizing that, I decide to not waste any more time, so, I flare my Spiral Cosmo, generating a wave of spiritual pressure that just like the Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki) overpowers the will of all the people present in the Fortress of Zahado making them all faint in an instant.

Done that, I easily jump over the gate and walls and rush into the fortress to search for some information about Simon's plan hoping on the fact that he is like all the usual evil guy stereotypes who always leave behind some kind of hints regarding his evil plan.

Once inside the fortress, I remove the self-imposed limits on my senses and awareness for a few moments, I quickly find the most suspicious location where I can probably find something and directly teleport there, it is a study full of books scattered on the floor and old yellow maps of the six islands pinned on the wall, but what catches my attention the most is an old, yellowish, damaged scroll open on the table in the middle of this study.

I quickly get close and start to read it, luckily, it is written in the usual written language of this world, which is simply a combination of Japanese and English something quite easy for me to read, instead of the ancient script used on the Poneglyphs something I can't actually read.

I quickly understood that this scroll talks about a being/biological weapon hidden on this island which was originally created by an ancient civilization, it is called Shushibaruba, a being/weapon with immense potential power, as it is not only able to nullify all Devil Fruits' powers, but it also grow stronger by eating Devil Fruits and their users. 

In the past, its power became so huge that it caused an island to be split into seven, creating what is now known as the Nanatsu Islands, and then, realizing their mistake in creating such a being/weapon they decide to stop it once and for all, but Shushibaruba couldn't be destroyed and so it was then forced to become dormant on Na Island, reverting into an egg-like form. 

Then the ancient civilization hid Na Island in the clouds, and made it so that it could only be summoned by using six treasures, which were hidden across the six remaining islands.

At this point, I finally realize what is Simon's aim and mutter, "That bastard wants to awaken Shushibaruba and put it under his control!"
