"We're going here." Alix points at the map as she explains the plan for the night. "You sure?" Joyce was cautious but also serious. "Yep, old man Henderson's house. Legends say he was bedridden for years suddenly his family stopped taking care of him and he died from neglect.his body was rotting on his death bed until now." "wait when did he die?" hook, line, and sinker. She's interested now; candy that is. "1974" "Wait you're kidding?" the year was 2004. The leaves were just changing their bright and dark green leaves to the different shades of orange. Autumn. "Witnesses have also said that furniture turned invisible or completely. People were also disappearing." candy was skeptical. She was your basic blonde bimbo. "Are you sure about this?" "Of course remember our train?" their training consisted of running a lot and themed video games. "Sure" She wasn't convinced we were going to be safe.
After a lot of convincing and begging she was in. Bang. The girls had arrived. There was no "house". It was a monsoon. Alix had no idea it was a mansion because she had never been on this side of town. The mansion was a ghastly sight; torn shutters, broken windows, and the stench,, That was the most ghastly. "I figured that, here." at least Joyce was prepared and gave everyone masks. "Ready?" the other girls nodded. I grab the door nob. Locked. "Anyone sees any bricks?" candy hands one to her. Alix throws it at the window next to the door. Crash. "And in we go." they go inside "A greenhouse?" there were two shelves one on the west side of the room and one on the north side of the room. Some planets were flourishing in the humid weather others almost black from decay. There was one planet flourishing a bit too much. A bluebell the stem went from the north side table to the other side of the south side window. "This place is cool." Alix walks to the East side window and looks out to the courtyard. "Such a big place for a sickly man." there were cranking sounds. Alix turns "You guys ok?" candy yells for Alix but she's already under the floor boards going to the basement.
Candy
I knew coming here was a bad idea I just knew it. I think to myself. I went to a party here a few months back and my boyfriend at the time was murdered by this hell house. I knew I should have just gone to Lotte's party and skipped on this stupid ghost hunt. "crap" is the only word I can get out. I grab Lotte's hand and run out of the room to various other rooms and then through countless flights of stairs. We end up in the middle of the basement. "Why was there an elephant-sized nest in the middle of a mansion basement??" I yell unable to wrap my head around it. This wasn't here a few years ago. I see my sister; so helpless and frail.
Alix
My eyes felt heavy and my body inflamed. I blink until my eyes get used to the dark room. Then I feel great force on my face as it is jerked in one direction. Then I heard it: "Wake up!" it was candy, of course. "I'm awake" my voice barely above a whisper. ("We're so glad you are ok!" Joyce says. I get up a little dizzy and try walking upstairs "Let us try to regroup and this time try to take a bit more caution, so what happened to me doesn't happen again" I say acting like the leader I didn't think I was. "Spoken like a true leader!" Joyce says. I am no leader that's for sure. We went from door to door with our devices not getting anything. Before I knew it we had checked every room on the first floor. "Next is the upstairs-" I say but stop mid-sentence and the air gets cold yet
the electricity hasn't been turned on in 15 years and it was 80 outside. "Guys?" I looked back and Joyce was looking around and Candy was gone. minutes later Candy
runs down the hall and grabs me pinning me to the floor. "What the hell??" I yell "Candy get off me!". she opened her mouth but it wasn't a natural widening it was a
monster eating a child widening. I close my eyes Joyce grabs the nearest item which is a sword. and all I hear is a slicing sound then a thud. the feeling of liquid
being sprayed. I opened my eyes and Candy's head was cut clean off and I was covered in blood. I scream and stumble to get on my feet as quickly as possible. Joyce had
dropped the sword and was looking at her bloodied hands. Candy and the blood disappear like everything was an allusion.) I try to collect my thoughts and the thing I can think of is get the hell out. I grab Joyce's hand and run. Where to I don't know but door after door go by and it feels like we have no headway. How big is this place? We opened a door thinking we were out. Nope. There was a blinding light; by then we knew there was no warmth, which meant there was no freedom. Once our eyes adjusted we saw a blue and white glowing silhouette. Weird. We swint trying to make out the figure: White hair, sickly skin, white shirt, suspenders, brown pants. We knew there was only one person in this town to wear that. Henderson. I finally focused on what was going on and remembered why we were here. Ghosts. I grab a trap then throw it. . . nothing. It didn't go off, why? Then there was a rumble almost like a snarling wolf. We look back at Henderson and he is pissed. He tries to lunge at us but misses completely i guess even undead this eyesight isn't any better joyce grabs my hand and runs again; the first door she grabs is the door out. Great. I hear a voice "Alix!". I turn to candy falling toward the bottom of the stairwell. The next thing I hear is something I recognize very well, like a hammer taken to a melon. Truth or Dare. the squishing sound, the sweet smell the fruit gives off, but this time it wasn't a fruit. It was a human head making that sound connecting with the granite flooring. My sister is… I couldn't finish that thought. The door shuts with force, claiming yet another victim. I tried to scream but nothing came out as Joyce held me back.
