Chapter THREE

The moon beamed with so much brightness that it gave light to the room were princess Aya stood. She traced the long blonde hair that laid on the pillow. The woman looked pale, and seems to be in pains.

Mother, can you hear me. She whispered. She kneeled beside the bed

She was too weak to move any part of her body or even talk audibly. She always braked between words to rest for a minute and then continued again in a low voice that could barely be heard.

Please don't leave me

"I'm always in your heart." The woman said tapping her chest gently.

***

"My lady wake up" a gentle voice said, shaking me softly.

When I opened my eyes tears flowed out. Albert moved her head closer to his chest, Aya hesitated at first but later gave in hugging him tight until she fell asleep again.

I rolled from one side of the bed to another, this was definitely the softest bed I have ever slept on. I did not want to get up but the grumbling of my stomach wouldn't let me rest plus the fresh smell of ginger tea from only God knows where.

For the first time in nineteen years I woke up without feeling any form of pain in my body, this is how a princess life should be free from pain but i choose the hard part of life.

I finally got up and let out a loud yawn, I hope nobody was around to witness this. Prince Albert wasn't around he must have had things to do this morning.

"Good morning my lady"

I looked up immediately at the slender lady, she had a small waist, her hair was styled into a ponytail revealing her big forehead and cheekbones. She wore a brown laces gown and carried a blue towel in her hand.

"Is that for me"

"Yes my Lady"

As a princess we usually had a hand maid that took care of us as if we were crippled or a new born baby. But I refused to be treated like one.

"You can drop it on the dressing table I will come and get it and may can leave."

She looked rather confused and I totally understood her because she was meant to assist me at least to help wash my hair, probably help sponge my back, then dress me up.

"Are you sure you want me to leave my Lady?"

Was she questioning my orders, I hate it when people don't obey my orders immediately. It was too early to show her the real me. I gave her an ugly look and I could see her shiver which meant the message has been well understood.

The bathroom was really big, it had a lovely scent as well. Everything was well arranged, I looked at the various type of shampoo that was displayed for just one person or two but all together it was too much and I am sure it cost a lot, and this money was definitely from the citizens tax.

I had nothing that would make me look like an actual princess. I had burned all my princess clothes, long story. What I packed were mainly warriors clothes which wasn't a good ideal to put on for my first appearance to the entire family. I needed to dress like a girl for once in nineteen years.

"My Lady " the same maiden returned but this time she had a dress in her hands and I was pleased. "The prince told me to deliver this to you"

I had a smile on my face surprising myself not knowing where it actually came from. To be honest this was so sweet of him.

The gown was really heavy and I wasn't comfortable in them. it held my breast tight in one position making it look attractive, and then revealed my bruised shoulders. This wasn't good at all.

I walked very fast because I was sure I was late for breakfast, his highness isn't meant to wait for me. I don't even know the direction of the dinning hall, my pride won't let me ask for direction.

It feels as if I am headed the right way because I could perceive baked bread. I descended the stairs two at a time and then missed a step and fell down in the presence of everyone present on the table.
